  1. I haven't read the patch notes for necro in a while, is there any reason why the regeneration aspect of the mark shouldn't be popping up whenever its cast or is it a bug? I've noticed that it only periodically will give the regen after mark is triggered. Could somebody confirm please :)
  2. They come in many ways, often disguised and seemingly reasonable but in the end, they want X class/ ability nerf or Y class/ ability nerf. This isn't to say that nerfs are never warranted just that there seems to be so many and really just based out of bias or an inability to overcome a particular amount of difficulty. Wouldn't it be better if people went to their own class forums and asked for buffs to deal with X,Y class/ ability or even advice from other players or am I just being insensitive to those that are struggling with personal viability or performance?
  3. Sounds like there is a lot of work going on for the upcoming alliance system. Thank you for the update. Regarding the rewards/tourney/leaderboards information, I can understand the hesitation on a tourney and I get that everything would have to be up and running and balanced before any sort of rewards could be in place. However, there should already be a leader board in place. Seeing your guild, alliance and personal contributions to a given match would be rewarding itself, things like tracking KDR, caps, etc would go a long way in balancing the alliances in any case. I can't see the long term logic in saying it is a big " if ". Everything else sounds cool. Again, thank you for the update :) very much appreciated.

  6. Game nearly breaks with two zergs running to another zerg with swiftness buff, I could just imagine what would happen with 120 players riding to one location on mounts. I don't think it would work.

Everyone keeps saying nerf Scourge and the Devs keep doing it, but what people don't realize is that most of the nerfs before and these proposed up coming nerfs will not stop the same problem that everyone is complaining about. The big elephant in the room that nobody says anything about,." SAND SAVANT" . I'ts like a giant well that you can cast and also become and run around with. Imagine if and ele could cast meteor shower on themselves while moving and it would follow them that is what it is like, so please stop asking for nerfs on Scourge cause they will just bungle it, like they have been doing and ask them for the rework or nerf the radius on the trait that needed from the beginning. Sand Savant. It really is funny to watch the devs systematically hacking off stacks of condis and tossing out random CD increases and people still complaining vaguely cause most can't figure it out. On a side note Scourges can be beaten easily if you know how, it is not the Scourge its the fact that so many groups are stacking them because of the SAND SAVANT.
  8. If you aren't going to use PPT, K/D , rank etc for a metric in the matchmaking, then will you give us a leader board for us to track this info on our own? I get what you are trying to do which is to balance the matches, but the biggest flaw in this theory is that there is always going to be players/guilds that are more knowledgeable and arguably better. I could easily foresee that there will be one or two dominant alliances and I am not against that. The players and guilds that have the knowledge that know all the different classes and what they can do, that understand the positioning, that know the maps like the back of their hand, that have no problem watching 20 players and the boons they carry during a battle and avoid the red/yellow circles, etc... are going to be better than those that don't. All I'm saying is give the guilds and players a reason to compete once everyone figures out that this is just going to end up the same situation which is the better, more organized and knowledgeable players/guilds Alliances will win. Give us leader boards as a measure for improvement. Give the winners rewards as a reason to keep winning after dominance has been established and give the players/guilds that didn't win, a goal to get better and win to get those rewards. Ideas for rewards : Alliances or guilds that win X amount of times get the option to expand guild hall to include a large arena to GvG in. Solo players or roamers that don't belong to large guilds give them a chance based on KDR to get unique weapon skins or armor skins..etc. Just please consider this seriously or I will bet that this will end up the exact as was before except players and guilds won't have balanced matches to blame it on.Give everyone a reason to compete is all I am saying or include a metric that will do a better job of balancing based off skill or experience. :)
  9. Why wouldn't the existing rewards work already? Today we are already have a way to rate the worlds, and most people think its tied more towards coverage, I don't see this changing that. It will try and balance coverage, but unless it re-balances along the way, which it won't do, then people can game it but alternating their play windows. The rewards today are just grind mats with out of date weapons/armor/skins. IF anet throws in some fresh rewards I see that as a positive to promote competition. I have decided to take Anets word on this matter based on the OPs goal statements.
  10. You can't tie rewards to this, it would just lead to mega stacking and he who can stack the most into their alliance autowins. NA and EU are still not the same server base there will still be coverage wars. Players will be hired to play outside of their normal play times to game the system and zerg timezone where people are less populated unless this system also causes map sizes to auto-balance as people try and request access to WvW which then causes queues which no one likes. This system is supposed to balance and create a population controlled enviornment. After this there should be no reason to say that you lost because of coverage or population. Rewards are essential or it just basically is playing wvw just to see who can get the most points or kills. We don't have any leader boards to tell us which guild is really good or which player is really good. We should at least get rewards out of this or something to keep things competitive.

  12. I thought about this also, so if the dummy guild signs up and and the get put in a particular group and then they don't show up, then...presto, its a lopsided match. I hope there is a fail safe measure to counter this in the planning.
  13. Will there be some sort of individual player rankings as well as guilds ( like a leader board)? IF not , then how would you be able to determine if an alliance or particular world isn't going to end up with more knowledgeable players? Which isn't necessarily a bad thing but who ends up carrying the less knowledgeable players? How does the sorting work? Also, I didn't see anything about rewards for winners, will there be any?
