  1. And to pile on to that..... leveling crafting is cheap in comparison to crafting the bag all the way through. https://gw2efficiency.com/crafting/calculator/a~0!b~1!c~0!d~1-8318232-Slot Hardened Leather Pannier - 121g https://gw2efficiency.com/crafting/calculator/a~0!b~1!c~0!d~1-87225Reinforced Olmakhan Bandolier -116g https://gw2crafts.net/leatherworking.html 0-400 - 32ghttps://gw2crafts.net/leatherworking_400.html 400-500 - 34g So where is this "300g" value coming from? The fact I have multiple of the 24-slot bags to upgrade. If I had the gold to upgrade them all to 32-slot I would have, but I only had enough gold to make a few 24-slots. That doesn't mean I don't want to upgrade them now that I have the gold. Even a mystic forge recipe to upgrade them would work. If it helps at all those guides are inaccurate. Each guide I followed does not list all of the required materials in their estimated required gold lists for both overall in addition to the separate sections. They list additional equipment to craft yet do not list the materials anywhere, nor tell you what to craft for the next tier at some points as a requirement. I had a net loss of much more gold than what they listed as the expected requirement simply due to that; often upwards to 35~75g. I'm not sure if they even tried their methods out before posting them. Will never use them again.
  2. Except now we have to slog through leveling crafting on an alt when we already have that available on another character. I want to upgrade it but now I'm unable to. Some people don't have 300g laying around collecting dust.
  3. Try again now, I was able to log in fine after having this issue.
  4. I can log in fine now, make sure to try again. Weird problem.
  5. Same problem but I was in Lion's Arch. Before I was in Dry Top but spent around 20 minutes in town... when I tried to log back in it was trying to put me back in Dry Top in addition to throwing this error -
  6. EDIT: Seems to have resolved itself after 5~10 minutes. After playing with no issues for the past month, now I can no longer log in as well. I get to character select and then it crashes while trying to load the map. I was in Lion's Arch during the disconnection and then when I tried to log in, it tried putting me in Dry Top (where I was before I went to Lion's Arch and spent around 10 minutes there.) So I'm not sure what to do now.
  7. Because they were used as crafting materials, and they NEEDED something highly visible to the player to maintain their awareness of MF as a reward system. You can read up about this a bunch of places, but its repeated shown that Players respond much more positively to highly tangible, highly visible, and non-abstract short term rewards. (Firefall being a major case study in the phenomena) This is also clearly seen in the fact that many players lose track of currency and material drops, unless it is part of something they are specifically focused on. For instance... how aware are you of Coin drops from mobs? Most players rarely think about it, and some players don't even realize they do. But Harvesting map currency from nodes..... thats so front and center, that I've seen the far more well described arguments about the gather rate involving those then any other bottleneck in the game (that isn't a Time Gate). Switching it to a currency doesn't fix anything..... all it really does is highlight the problem long lived MMOs have with perpetual rewards and their presentation. Again, storing them in materials wouldn't be a bad idea then because it's already considered a crafting material. According to your logic if it's not in the materials list then players are likely never going to know that you can craft with it. However if they ever look for recipes, they are going to see they need it, and in that case it could simply be stored in the currency; if it's in the currency, it could just be there -- however, make it show up in the crafting materials area at all times as long as you have it on you in the correct quantity. I don't really see what is a bad idea about that. This only has to be a "thing" for people who have already capped on luck. Those who still need to increase their luck can simply either 1) Use it or 2) Store it in Materials -- but 99/100 people will likely simply use it. The problem is that you cannot do anything with it later after you cap it, unless you want to waste space trying to store stack after stack after stack. As it stands I'm trashing every stack of it I get and I don't really have a choice not to. How is this good? How aware am I of Luck, it's crafting purposes, and if coins drop from mobs? I've known this info for years. Whatever the game does not tell you itself, you dive into the Wiki for--that's how it's always been. Most people do not care about the gold drops from mobs because it's so minute that it has no impact on their wallet. If the player ever used a guild banner they would know "Gold Find" is a thing and that roughly translates to "Oh, I get gold from things outside of selling."
  8. Altitude Bar being drained after mounting in the air plans to be fixed. Other than that I only wish for... Keep full altitude bar after leaving the ground with your first flap. It feels like you're a brick on a balloon. Faster stamina recharge, higher jump.Stamina recharge while on the wall, but slower than charging during flight. We can already let go of the wall and recharge and wait for the endurance skill to recharge over the course of 60 seconds. Jump from wall automatically moves around small ledges blocking you, directly above you.Keybind for latch to wall.Updrafts pushing you up, tbh the Griffon needs this too, if you already used Bond of Faith you are stuck on the mount.Dive option for quick descent and engage.Hold skill 1 to show a casting circle. Moderately faster travel speed to make the mount an option to travel to events.Moderately more gracious canopy to allow slightly further horizontal distances.Dash in any direction the camera is aimed.Extra dash if possible, 2 is "eh"Permanent evade during flight, at least 75%... Tired of getting shot down to my death in post-Tyria maps. Not a problem for Griffon, has a skill like this already.More reactive turning speed. If we are meant to use this to jump between cliffs back and forth, the current turning speed makes the user less likely to try in almost all scenarios. Would be nice to fly over water with 0 altitude, just much slower than the Skimmer. The Skyscale drowning is sad panda.Whatever else makes sense but doesn't break the game, mount, or invalidates other mount mechanics.. Something. Just don't be afraid of letting players actually do what they want to do if they want to climb. If you fix something to make it more enjoyable and it has that effect later, I doubt anyone would complain that you can get higher if you really wanted to. People will do what they do. Not everyone cares about going as high as you can. The Griffon can already do that for the most part and it's supposed to be a gliding mount with wings.
  9. I'm not sure why these automatically being deposited as currency in your wallet isn't already a thing. I'm quite honestly sick and tired of having to consume these for absolutely no reason, and there is no way I'm expending inventory or bank space for them. Even a free 9999 slot in your materials would be better.
  10. The chests already need nerfed because they're bottoming-out Rare Unid and Ecto prices. TP is flooded with them. Increasing keys and always allowing everyone to open every single chest would only add to the problem. If you really want to open them all that bad, just make sure to do as many events as possible during the meta stages.
  11. Frankly I feel the Skyscale should have a 75% perm evade as long as you're moving mid-air. The slow speed + range enemies = poor choice. You always have to be above them or completely out of their way, especially in HoT and PoF maps where they can aggro you from half a mile away.
  12. I'm not asking for free flight per se, my suggestion in point 3 requires you to stay close to the minimum flight level to avoid losing flight juice. This is so we can fly to a location, as if we were on a ground mount, without having to repeatedly land and jump back up again, additionally, it looks cool. Mainly wrote that for those that ask about it in every topic. But yeah I get you.
  13. According to the Guild Chat the Skyscale is meant to traverse landscapes by going from wall to wall. When you jump off a wall your canopy is slightly pushed back up so you're able to go both up and more importantly, go a further distance away from that wall (which wouldn't be possible with just a single jump and glide over.) Most people just wanted a flying mount that wasn't a glider like the Griffon. The altitude bar being empty when mounting midair is considered an oversight and they're going to try to fix it. But as for everything else, it was somewhat announced only a few key things would be changed aka "exceptions"... However large ones like free flying are more than like ly never going to happen, even with newer mounts in the future. The entire game is based, from a design aspect, around the traversal of terrain. Whereas tweaks aren't a big deal, free flying would generally omit the point of all maps up until now.
  14. I've been getting lag in pve since the May 14th update I believe.
  15. Since the achievements definitely have a reward for 400 I believe that's the cause, there's a chance it was just delayed and you never noticed as mentioned.
  16. There are numerous things that can contribute to lag on the server end of things, needless to say I doubt it's because we swapped servers. How long has this been happening?
  17. It was mentioned in the Guild Chat today by the Skyscales Mechanic's Developer that they are going to be looking into this. It was an accident in regards to your altitude being murdered by mounting while airborn, ultimately it was an oversight caused by trying to keep the mount from being abused mid-air due to the "ejector seat"/aka Bond of Faith being used. As for your altitude being chopped after you first leave the ground, not sure if that applies to this or not. See the video - 46:51 ... Youtube timestamps aren't working right.
  18. Some of the distortions do not work, they have a very large activation area as long as your are in or next to the distortion itself. Therefore if you cannot get a distortion to activate the yellow skill bar / load bar, then it's likely that distortion is bugged. I would suggest going to another distortion in the same map, as most maps have at least 2 or 3. Please keep in mind you have to stop in or next to the distortion for the yellow bar to begin doing its thing.
  19. I believe if you mount in the air at any point the altitude meter should be full, this includes when you jump off of the ground with the Skyscale - it takes a 3rd of the meter just to leave the ground. As it is now, it's just plainly broken.
  20. The 6-set perks could be set as individual runes, maybe an "Augment" slot on your weapon or chest piece. Set bonuses should be nulled out, each rune should give a uniform benefit that doesn't rely on the others. Just have base stat runes that you can pick and choose from. The set stuff never matters at this point because everyone just uses a full set or only 5. It would be nice if we could use options we never did before just because the good stuff is at the end of the set. (Being bonuses + perk)
  21. The event is stuck at 5/6 killed and cannot be completed, blocking players from talking to Dahlia and finishing the achievement, in addition to missing the Tyria Mastery Point.
  22. Time=/=effort. In no point is any effort required for any part of the collection, it's all based around consuming as much time as possible.Contrary to what ArenaNet wants to claim, the Skyscale from a time perspective costs much more than the Griffon does. I would rather have to pay the ~200g difference than give up 250 of each map currency. It doesn't require effort to participate in Metas, do hearts and map completion, and mine currency nodes as you face off with enemies that are around them? If you don't want to play the game and none of it takes any effort at all, why are you playing? What would even be the point? Pvp? WvW allows you to exchange for map currencies, dunno about Pvp. The Griffon acquisition method requires participating in bounties and other that a lot of people no longer do any more on top of a cold hard gold requirement. In either case, if you only have an hour a day you can just farm nodes across the map while using the Jackal and Raptor. You can get upwards to 30~50 a day in an hour. Doing the hearts on each map give you roughly 15~25 per character you do them on. Obtaining the map currencies necessary isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
  23. One, free, to skip waiting on the Meta for Augury Rock. Everything else can be skipped or completed easily with the Springer and Griffon used together, dropping from a good height with Bond of Faith and using your glider where required. 2 JPs have to be manually completed, both can be skipped with a Mesmer Porter.
  24. Trial Accounts would suggest the accounts expire or require a subscription to keep using. This is not the case. A lot of things are locked out to encourage you purchase the game as we all did originally, but is for the most part, optional. This allows new users who have never played the game the ability to see if they enjoy the game enough to purchase it. It is not necessarily meant to be "permanently free, no limitations."
  25. I voted no. Out of the entire collection this is the only thing that really required some effort. Everyone who is either feeding their Skyscale or has not began at all have plenty of time to get materials. Like just mentioned, just farm them while you're feeding and waiting the 2 hours for collection unlocks, starting on the 28th.
