It's great to see that other regions have had multiple Gem Card sales in the past 3 years, yet never in Canada. While I have been taking advantage of the European gem card sales with several working shops, The Netherlands always seem to get excluded in sweepstakes and other promotions where you can win something. I guess with all different countries, laws, regulations and different local retailers it is hard for ArenaNet to organize something truly international. Still, I'm happy that there are gem cards for sale again in Europe, because for many years there were no official retailers that had them in stock. Not even for the regular price. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the second time the US was not included in this discount. Anet is it so hard to just include the US to? One more thing are the cards region locked? GameCardsDirect is in English and takes UK debit/credit cards. The prices are in Euros but you can check the exchange rate online to see what you'll actually pay. (I've also bought from GameLiebe while in the UK, but I think I had to use paypal rather than my bank card, and the site is in German so I suppose that doesn't really count.) I can't remember seeing gem cards sold in the UK, either online or in a shop, in a very long time.
