Best way to farm T6 materials?

I recently decided to make the sPvP backpiece, the Ascension. This piece requires lots of tier 6 materials to make the Gift of Magic and Gift of Might, and those materials may cost as much as 500g given current prices (around 30silver per item). What is the best way to farm those materials? The Silverwastes?

Adding a couple of quick-and-easy supplemental options to @Randulf.7614's good advice:

If you have LS3 and extra unbound magic, you can buy Magic-Warped Bundles in Ember Bay for 1250UM and 40s each. They're 500 UM and 1g each in the other LS3 maps, so stick with Ember Bay.

If you have the Ley-Energy Matter Converter and extra HoT map currencies, check all the tabs daily. Sometimes they offer the same Heavy Crafting Bags you can buy from the Laurel Vendor. Same with the Karmic Converter.

If you are part of a guild with at least some market upgrades and you have HoT and extra Guild Commendations, also check the trader merchant (Sigurlina Jonsdottir) in your guild hall each day. The second tab sometimes has the Heavy Crafting Bags as well.

Those all depend on you not having higher priorities for those currencies, but each Heavy Crafting Bag is worth 3 assorted T6 materials, and the Magic-Warped Bundles are usually good for 10 T6 mats, though they sometimes drop other high-end materials that usually sell for enough to buy at least a few more T6s after covering the cost of the bundles.

They are exclusive drops, so directly farming them is counter productive. You can get about 165 each month by getting the laurels for the daily login rewards and cahsing them for the t6bags (55 laurels, 1 laurel per bag, 3 random t6 mats per bag). That is the only direct way to farm them. If you require more or want to get them quicker, get them from the TP with money you farm (specially cause a lot of people use the t6 bags to cash their laurels).

To maximise the results, you might want to concentrate on farming in place where a lot of level 80's are who drops lootbags. You still want the gold as it is more effective, but those lootbags drops them.

Keep in mind that you actually need low magic find for the bags themself. The reason is that the bags are white (common). Magic finds increase your chance on rare rewards, which also decreases the change of common drops. But as you cant do much about your base magic find, and as it is more effective to go for gold, you might want to keep the magic farm as high as possible.

I would recommend the following, as it extremely well for Gen 1 weapons.

First start by making Clovers (if you don't have a full set of 77 yet). The Recipe outputs T6 mats when it fails to produce a clover; so that gives you a small head start.Second best source is Champ bags. No seriously, something like 1 in 3 for T6 mats.Mist Warped Bundle, 10 T6 mats, 2 Lodestones, Ectos, or HOT jewels https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mist-Warped_BundleBuying off the TP.... which you'll inevitability need to do to fill in the gaps for missing mats.

You can also collect https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pact_Scout%27s_Mapping_Materials - then use https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Map_bonus_reward/profit to find the weeks that are best to gather particular T6 mats. Overall, its best to wait for Week 2 Frost Gorge, as the Blood/Charged Lode combo is worth a lot. You can keep the bloods and sell the Charged lodes to buy more T6 mats. You'll need 40 to make a full rotation for the 10 bonus (giving you 44 of the T6); but since the map bonus progress doesn't reset, it'll usually take a bit less when do you do this. You can then top it off by doing Karma trains for event credit (2 events per map bonus). Its probably too late to be a big boost right now... but collecting them every day, and saving them for when you need them, or for FGS week is always a worthwhile investment.
The only catch is that it costs you 30k karma per day, so if you're short on karma, it can feel like a struggle. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pact_Supply_Network_Agent
