{New Player Question}

Recommended Posts

Yes the wiki page is maybe a little confusing, all of the containers where you could get it directly are discontinued. However you can still make it from the recipe, which is the normal method of obtaining it.

You'll want to look at the full material list further down the page and start working on the collections for the precursor.

Good luck!

I'm guessing you looked at the Wiki and saw that all the containers listed are discontinued? That's because Pharus is a legendary weapon and it's very rare for those to just be given out. One of those containers is a prize for the winners of a PvP tournament and the others were for compensating players who had duplicate legendaries when the armoury was introduced (which changed how they work so there's no use for duplicates).

The normal way to get any legendary is to make it in the Mystic Forge and that method is still available. The recipes for doing that are shown immediately below the containers and and the full material list is further down the page.

You need to be aware that legendaries are designed to be long-term goals for veteran players so it's going to take a lot of time and a lot of gold and/or resources (some of which are account bound so you can't buy them). That's not a reason not to get it, it's just important to be aware of what's required. I strongly recommend looking through the items in the full material list and checking to see how to get any you're not familiar with.

If you do want to get it the first step is to buy the Recipe for Exitus (the first precursor weapon) from Grandmaster Craftsman Hobbs in Lion's Arch.

before that tho, take the tyrian mastery Revered Antiquarian. Then you'll get a letter in your mail from Hobbs.
