costepj.5120
Lots of threads (unsurprisingly) on this topic. Here's a recent one. The first response has good suggestions. A lot depends on what maps you have unlocked / want to visit. Â Â
Inculpatus cedo.9234
One option: check the Wiki for TP prices on materials, and gather said highest-value material to sell. Here's one list with prices:Â https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Garden_plot#List_of_crops
AliamRationem.5172
There are plenty of ways to earn gold. It just depends on what you want to do. Open world metas and bosses like ley anomly or octovine are quick and easy loot. Instanced events like dragonstorm or convergences. Organized group content like fractals, raids, and strikes. It's only a grind if you make it into one. If you just mix it up and do all of these things you'll earn gold just playing the game.

Ley anomaly pays 1, right? And tequatl pays 1, doesn't it? Plenty of ways, as you say. Just be persistent. Kittens, even the wizard's vault can give gold. evilcat.6817
Find content you enjoy and just be persisten. Wizards Daily, and weekly is even more important, use laurens for bag III and IV Fractals Daily and recomended karka/Tequila nice and easy Lay line naked man, fastest gold in this part of tyria Pinata is ok, and easy, can do karka+pinata Mini train: Teq+Layline+Chak+Octovine+Drakkar+Augury rock+pinata a bit long, but 25g/h and versalite. Could do chak+octovine or teq+layline and i sok to. Big instance metas like RIBA silvester, Dragonfall, Drizzwood coast Dungeons if you combine 8 different, and buy rare boots lv80. But dungeons popularity is hit and miss Verdant Brink, Matriarchy. patriarchy and night event in general could be good with all airship cargo drops Some meta are cursed. Like Serpent Ire is horrible, Tripple Trouble demands coordination, Fire Ele, Destroyer, Shaman... and some other have long winup. So avoid them. EphemeralWallaby.7643
I like doing Teq. Specifically show up to a map about 1/2 hr early to get on a good map. Then, raptor around the map for that 1/2 hr gathering resources to sell on the TP (platinum, hard wood, and plants). Then get 1g from doing Teq. Finally, sell the ~23ish green unidentified equipment from doing Teq on the TP. ~40ish minutes nets a few gold all together.... and for me it doesn't feel like a grind. I also like to run around Bitterfrost Frontier and sell on the TP the green unidentified equipment I loot from chests there... the map is a nice chill mix of looting and fighting (pun intended), and resets reasonably often. ~EpWa Edited February 12 by EphemeralWallaby.7643
Donari.5237
Right now you can crank up your magic find (guild buff, banner buffs, food, utility food, bonfire, every possible source) and open envelopes in the Lunar Festival. If you sell back all the junk that drops from them you will at worst lose one silver and at best get items worth 8 gold at the vendor (don't buy them on TP, the markup will eat more than that one silver loss). If you do the Celestial Challenge you get the ability to buy more rewarding envelopes, up to 8 a day. Now, you do have to have 1 gold per envelope bought, so if you only have 10 gold to your name it's not a smart investment. Since you have SotO, that means you can also flat out buy gold with Astral Acclaim after you've bought the other valuable things. Here is one breakdown of what you can get, from the first season of the Vault, you can probably find something more current that talks about the relative value of everything if you look. https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/15yg9q2/wizard_vault_rewards_breakdown/
Tinker.6924
Play for a few days and sell everything you pick up on the TP or vendor what you can't sell.  Junk items add up when you sell at vendor. Only destroy stuff you can't sell or salvage. If you are in a guild with a guild hall, it will have mining  nodes that are free.  You can also see if any guildies have a "full home" that you can mine (you're not stealing, nothing you collect  takes away from anyone else, it's specific to your account). Those are all free money. Look in your Hero panel achievements under the Dailies and do as many of those as you can because the reward chest includes decent money. Daily Strikes and fractals can give good money. Check the event timer (in game enter in chat: /wiki et) for big meta events because the rewards from those are good. 5-10 min before the event start checking LFG and join a group (they just need warm bodies). Make sure to get to the zone and if you're not in the same insurance, right-click someone in the squad and select "join in zone".  Just do what everyone else is doing  Wvw, even if you have never done pvp ever or swore you'll never do pvp, is worth doing too. You can often join or just follow large groups (zergs) with a commander tag.  Even if you never slap an enemy just being on the map can get you rewards and you can enter any friendly tower or camp and collect the nodes there without the npc attacking you. Edited February 12 by Tinker.6924
