Harbinger-What classes/builds counter harbinger?

Harb has no second health bar, nor armor (or +300 if playing death magic) and also like 2 stunbreaks, so cc chain them. Save your stun break for their shroud 5 and if you see them go shroud LoS or cc them to hell. Escaping is maybe a little tricky as shroud has 2 movement skills and on power they may play sword. High burst specs can make harb down quickly 🙂

Yeah, I find Harb to be 'wait out the elite' and kill them.  It isn't like WvW where they have an entire stat set to support the elixir with boon duration stats while giving condi damage and some insane toughness levels.

Reaper is far more dangerous, as they can use pistol like harb due to weapon master AND have a second life bar....

They also have generally insane stability uptime.

If I wanted to run something that countered Harb, what would it be?

  1. Burn down their team and keep them CC chained to hell.
    Once you've cleared their team you focus all your attention on them and nuke them. To focus your effort on them halfway through a fight will always leave you on the back foot and waste a lot of effective damage.
  2. Hit them so hard with your opening strike that they dont have time to pop their second health bar and tank your damage.
    Hit them with a quick double Gunflame combo and that usually keeps them out of the fight.

Also, never 1v1 a harb or reaper or fight them in melee, its just a massive slog and wastes your time until they can get reinforced and burn you down. Ranged carries should have prio on nuking them down in general.

Sinister Shroud - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W) 15% reduction on shroud stab 3 = make shroud 3 21s cd

Reaper's Onslaught - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W) make shroud 1 reduce cd of shroud 3 by 1s per target hit, it work per target hit, if hit 5x things per 3rd auto chain strike knock off 5s of shroud 3 cd, happens often with quickness from trait

Infusing Terror - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W) 3s stab 3 stacks 20% damage reduction 25s cd - modify by all this ^

"Chilled to the Bone!" - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W) 6s stab 2 stacks + bunch other stuff 36s cd

reaper have near perma stab in team fight

You might have missed the greyed out annotation on the wiki that you are linking:

Maybe you get infusing terror every 15s on a good day... With a lot of luck... In anyway, plenty profession get that much stability and more. As a matter of fact even with the near "perma stab" the meta build seem unable to part with the need to fill one's utility bar with stun break. Necromancer (reaper) included skill diversity in PvP isn't that high. Very few necromancer build set aside Wurm and Spectral Walk.

If you take into account the fact that evade skills and block also allow a character to deal with incoming hard CC, the amount of stability gained by reaper isn't even close to break balance.

uuuh might want to go in game and hit group of golems and test for urself

it do -1s per target hit is stab and fear about every 6-7s
