Vayne.8563
Most cities are huge. Why would you disable mounts in Hoelbrak. Completing Hoelbrak on a mount is much faster than running, or even running and gliding. Lion's Arch is also huge. I'd much rather ride to far waypoints than run. Disabling mounts in cities would be a bad move.
PzTnT.7198
I agree with disabling them in the VIP areas as space there is generally limited but they should remain enabled in cities in my opinion.

I can agree with this.
Ryelis.3508
Having them removed from cities entirely would cause too many people to throw a fit, not that I really care for seeing cities packed full of mounts. But I would be happy enough if there was a no-mount radius around NPCs (bank/TP/merchants/etc) and that VIP areas were mount-free as well.
Zaltys.7649
If this gets implemented, can we have a no pets zone in cities too? The constant growling is far more annoying than mounts.
Tekoneiric.6817
If they were to block mounts in VIP areas and at merchants I'd suggest blocking minis, disable legendary effects and make oversized back pieces like wings invisible also plus keep toys from being dropped there also. All of those are distractions in tight areas.
SummerRayne.4672
@JVJD.4912 said:Because they are instances. Generally other games solves this mount blocking issue by putting npcs inside of a building where you get dismountedSo where are these npcs in the VIP of Divinity....??? BingoSo they should put all NPC's inside of buildings and ruin the feeling of a living, breathing world where NPC's actually wander outside walls? So that would be your solution? How odd it would be to go to Lion's Arch and Divinty's Reach and see all NPC's inside. I completely disagree with this idea for a solution and don't see it as even remotely being one.And to the person who said this is probably just a phase, I very highly doubt that. In WoW, Blizzard had to finally make areas in the game around certain event NPC's that causes you to automatically dismount because people can and will be jerks. People got a kick out of griefing others by sitting on top of holiday NPC's making it impossible to complete some events. Maybe ArenaNet could do something similar? I don't know. For me personally, I don't mind seeing mounts in the cities really. But it does really irk me when I can't even see NPC's because people block them or seem to enjoy standing right on top of them on their mounts. I mean yes, all we have to do is press F to open dialogue, but I really can't stand seeing a lot of mounts blocking NPC's. Have fun finding an NPC you didn't know where they originally were if people are blocking them. It has been a habit with me for many years in game to dismount when interacting with NPC's or being at a mailbox, etc. It's just the respectful thing to do in my opinion for other players. Loosmaster.8263
I hate the fact I can't gather nodes in peace anymore without players dragging in hordes of mobs and just ride off to the next one while they leave you stuck in combat!!! MikeyGrey.2496
Agreed. If entire cities/vip areas aren't doable than at least a certain distance from interact-able NPC's/crafting stations should be made mount-free. Get the bounty boards also.
