One method I tried to work around this is:

1. Log out to Character Select
2. Log into a different character
3. Log out of that character
4. Log back to your main or other character where that error occurred.

It's a brief workaround - does not suffice :/

Saw several streamers on twitch get locked out of their story progress by the "cannot create instance" error. That's bad PR for potential new players. What happened to "we fixed it"?

I'm on NA server, and I have the problem. I don't think it's only EU.

Was finally able to get in without instant crash.. Entered an instance and now I'm stuck at a long LONG loading screen. It's been loading for about 5 mins now..

This is currently happening to me. Stuck on loading screen forever, Alt-F4, InstanceCreate Failed when I log back in. Swapping characters lets me have another go at it, but lands me right back on the same problem.

From what I'm being told, ANet is on top of this. I'm being told to give it a few hours because they are patching quickly to fix stuff. (Now in reality, ask me if I believe this because I don't)

Hallowed Ground - Did the story before it no problem. Saw a few going in the instance too. Repair mode takes quite a lengthy mount of time, upwards of an hour: "Z:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -repair (have a hard drive just for games) InstanceCreate failed. Fully close the client. Wait a minute, enter again. Then wait the looong loading screen without complaining. It worked for me.

Same here. I keep entering the same instance for the same 2 fights and then midway through one scene worth of talking, the game crashes. Its a 30 minute player instance...which means another 30 minutes of me having to try to get thorugh the same fights....
