Forged weapons

So, I tried for 3 days in a row, and approximately 15 hours worth of killing forged, and got precisely zero forged weapons.

I ended up having to buy the staff for my rev.However, I did get a forged bow sometime ago, which I gave to my warrior; except I cannot remember where I got it from, because I'm almost certain that I haven't fought any forged at the time I got it.

Any ideas what other places might give a chance for a forged weapon?There is nothing on wiki that says otherwise, but I'm kinda thinking that it was from WvW?

You probably got one completing one of the story steps. Beyond that, GW2 has a horrendously low drop rate for most things, usually a fraction of a fraction of a percent.

I'd assume you got it from one of those bags, probably when clearing up bigger chunk of champion bags of different types....

That might have been it actually.Probably from one of PoF missions.

Since the overwhelming majority of 'rare drops' in GW2 are not bind on acquire or even account bound, it is just generally easier to farm for gold and buy what you want off the TP. Should you get lucky at some point and get that same item to drop for you, well you simply toss it onto the TP to get your gold back.
