Hock.6740
Why is it possible TO BLEED for non-living beings like mines, spirit barriers, gates, turrets?)I can understand poison on them, coz it also can be counted as acid. Also didn't remember if they can be affected by conditions like Confusion and Torment
Inc.4753
It's probably just a gameplay thing to balance condi and power builds. As for possible lore explanations, where applicable I usually view bleeding more as leaking. A spirit is losing its matter, a turret has leaking hydraulics etc.
castlemanic.3198
As Inc said, it's more than likely just a gameplay over lore thing. It would be pretty terrible to force a condi build to take ten times as long to destroy a gate as a power build just because they prefer condis. With the way how mounts just pop up under you and you don't have to go to a stable, choose a mount and go out into the world on only that mount, it's clear that convenience trumps lore in some situations (because i doubt a raptor can swim and then high jump to certain places that only a skimmer can reach) and condis on turrets, gates etc. is just a convenience (and balance) issue. Konig Des Todes.2086
This is 100% mechanics and shouldn't be taken as lore. It's done to make conditions a bit more available since GW1, which did have non-bleedable creatures, had hexes to coincide with direct damage and conditions. Ayakaru.6583
When you bleed a mine, the flammable oil leaks out, if you poison a gate, it corrodes (metal),if you torment a piece of siege equipment, it will wonder what it ever did to you to deserve this kind of treatment.
