You know... If Banners had 70s CD in WvW. They would be kinda usefull now.

Hi.

 

Banners are basically a gigantic 5s Lightfield on a 20s CD.

 

The Lightfield stays even if you pick the Banner up again.

 

If the Banner CD would be reduced to 70s, it would be a Lightfield on 10s CD.

 

Kinda, maybe usefull.

Because WvW Warrior has one utility slot that doesnt have a mandatory skill in it.

 

And there are not many good choices, so maybe that could be usefull?

haha nah, no matter power or support guardian they kitten out light field on actual useful skills too.

let alone having multiple guardians in a comp.

like if u just look at the meta builds, not just guardian. light field will never ever be lacking ever.

 if you plan on having a utility only for light field, you are just wasting utility for nothing.

A decent comeback for the banners would be to self-blast said field. But Anet knows people will complain about warrior's cleansing ability and that this is very strong 🙄, especially after the "changes" to condition management as a warrior.

 

Burst cleansing is our only thing left....Better avoid fights from now on.

Yeah, blasting light field after cast as condi cleanse would make sense (even though I think light field on banners is weird), especially to make banners more appealing in competetive modes and especially after this resistance nerf. Welp, maybe in 3 months...

 

Btw, if banners got light field, there is no reason not to make Berserker being able to force exist Berserk mode at will 🙂
