When Ben Arnold was working on fractals, he noticed a bug where the tell for arc attacks were backwards, so he got it fixed. The problem is, it was a known issue, so as a bandaid fix, they introduced a code to switch its direction for old encounters. When he fixed the bug, the bandaid made them backwards, notably the anomaly in the thermanova fractal. Because no one does ls2 story fractals, this bug probably went unnoticed, and now that the studio is doing eod, it is probably low priority.
