[SUGGESTION] Add Option : "do not receive mail from a sender that are not in my friend list"

Hi,

I think the idea of adding an option which enable a player to not receive a mail he/she don't want could be a good idea (notably to prevent RMT trolling).What do you guys/girls think about it ?

i mean, blocking a player blocks mails. you want to block just mails from your friends?

No, only receive mail from an account in your friend list.

I'm against preemptive blocking: this is an MMO, not a solo game. I've sent items to any number of strangers, including care packages for new players, tips for those who help others (not just commanders), and sometimes, donations towards someone who made an interesting or useful post here, in these very forums.

Emails from players already have a 'return to sender' and a 'report' button.

RMT Trolling isn't notable.I don't mean it can't happen nor do I mean it's never happened. I mean that it happens rarely enough that it can be handled via Support tickets.

There's nothing to fear though as long as you don't accept a suspicious mail. Doing so would always be your own fault

The title of the thread suggests just the opposite of what the OP wants, I believe. (OP, you might consider an edit.)

I don't think this is necessary, as in-game mail was already adjusted previously for unwanted/injurious mail (at the time of all the phishing mails).

And no, I don't think that's a good idea, because it would limit communications with strangers.

Just a nitpick, its a follower list, not a friendlist.

For me, not a good idea either. I like to tip commanders for running trains and mesmers for portals. This idea would squash that.

In which case your header is utterly wrong then. It reads as if you want to block mail from friends.
