Uninstall Error when using Microsoft Uninstall in Settings?

Why is it not letting me uninstall this game? It links to the pre-patch loading screen and then gives me an ERROR message and tries to make me send an email to the company. Yeah, my error is this is not working as intended and please advice me on how to uninstall the game.

F5. Got a response pretty quick when I mentioned about the glitchy mount bug, can I get a response to this one in the same timely manner?

You can just delete all the files/folders. Nothing else is required.Or use the Knowledge Base, access via the 'Support' link above/below.

So you are saying it is not possible to uninstall this game, I have to delete all files?

Because I am pretty sure you have to be able to uninstall a program for it to be legal

Ok I'll try to delete whatever registry this thing is and wonder why GW2 doesnt want me to uninstall this game

GW2 doesn't change any registry settings.The uninstall program only works for GW2.exe; it doesn't work for GW2-64 or GW2-32 unless you rename it.

This game not use an Installer with uninstall function.NO NEED !This game not use REGEDIT or other DLL of Windows.

No offense, but judging on your common sense (or the absense of it considering your many posts without giving anyone some time to reply) you might refrain from using a computer anyway if you think, this can destroy it.

To uninstall it, you need to use the 32-bit version of Gw2.exe and run:Gw2.exe -32 -uninstall

If you don't have the 32-bit version, download the 32-bit version of Gw2Setup.exe and rename it to Gw2.exe. Alternatively, here's Gw2.exe direct from the patch server, which is only valid until the next build.

If you simply delete the folder, there's also:%appdata%/Guild Wars 2/%temp%/gw2cache-{*}Documents/Guild Wars 2/

I'm also having problems uninstalling. I'm going to try to fully update the game and see if that helps. There's clearly some bugs, however. Uninstall via Control Panel should work with no issues like it does every other game. It's even the instructions ArenaNet has posted on the support website.

And I have to echo the OP here - I'm not comfortable manually deleting and from what I understand, the reason Uninstall programs exist is because merely deleting doesn't fully remove all files or fully uninstall a program. I'd like to do this cleanly and not mess something up.

It's because the Uninstall program uses gw2.exe, rather than gw2-64.exe. You can change the parameters, if desired.There's nothing other than the folder and files for GW2. You can safely just delete them.
Or, if you want to get rid of everything, delete the GW2 cache, and temp folders, as well.
