Request for a total overhaul of New-Kaineng.
Keymaster.7362 replied to rylien.3824's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I have high hopes for old kaineng in LS6 -
If you look back, the living storys always did give the main masterys from their expansions a huge upgrade. Gliding did get fighting skills in specific maps, mounts did get Utility Skills and we did get the fastest and the most flexible ones of them. I really hope we will also see huge upgrades for the Jade Bot next year in LS6 to justify the skins.

In which world is 'removing your subjektive reason for alts from the game' alt friendly? To have 50 chars on your GW2 account is also largely unnecessary, but if people want it, may it be because of build diversity, fashion wars or every other personal reason, they can easily do it. And Anet supports them with tons of QoL. You get more than enough tomes of knowledge, birthday level boosts and 2 expansion lvl80 boosts. As i already mentioned you can select all expansions and living story chapters in personal order. And how long do you need to rush through EoD chapter 1-4? 2 hour? 3 hours if you take your time ?

FF14 is a really horrible example for good alt friendliness. Yes, one character can play every class, this is nice, but every alt is forced to play all the 200 hours of story chronologically to unlock all maps, dungeons and raids on their own. The personal story and the addons are the only storys in GW2 that force you to play them chronologically in theirself. Apart from this every character can start or skip the personal story, the addons and every single chapter of every single living story in the order you want.

I would say GW2 is a game with horizontal, vertical progression. You have many different modes; raids, fractal, strikes, open world, wvw; but at all of them you have to start at lvl 1 and progress them separately. The daily/ weekly caps are a design decision to keep all modes relevant. If you could play everything without a cap, you would only farm raids, or only fractals, or only open world metas. With all the caps you switch between a little bit raids, a little bit fractals and a little bit open world metas.

There are some circumstances that can lead one to your impression. I don't know how frequently you did look at the lfg, but raids have a weekly cap of rewards. The most people are already done and waiting for the reset on monday. 90% of the players are to afraidto open their own lfg and simply wait for someone eöse to do this. Many people don't use the lfg. They have a static groupe or are in a raid groupe. You have many great and friendly raid lern guilds out there. It may seem paradox at first, but as more populare a groupe search is, as fewer to you see it in lfg. The raid sellers wait normaly many hours before someone falls in their trap. A groupe with a li off 500+ can wait up to 30 minuts. Real learn groups or groups with smaller kps are full in few minutes and so you don't notice theme in the most time. My personal advice, if you want to start with raiding it's always a good idea to search for a raid learning guild or discord groupe.

I believe the minimap has a option to rotate with the player.

Isn't Festival of the four winds the typical GW2 summer Festival? We have a beach, a water balloon boss fight, a pirate treasure hunt, I believe ArenaNet allready announced this year new skiff races. And ArenaNet was never a fan of this anime waifu beachy bikini armors.

To be honest, this is a only you problem and has nothing to do with GW2 being alt friendly or not. After you finished the Story requirements with your main character once, all your alts can visit every raid, every dungeon, every fractal, every strike mission, wvw, every pvp Mode and you can buy accound wide teleportion scrolls, so your alts can go to every excisting map, without ever taking a single step into the story. And thanks to the story chronic system you are not forced to play the story chronologically. You can jump directly in every addon or living story chapter if you want.

Anybody find any Easter Eggs in EoD?
Keymaster.7362 replied to Ausar.9542's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I would say nearly any achievment in arborstone with a mastery point (the hide and seek one excludet). They all are cute little side quest storys and many of them quote important characters and fractions from GW1 Cantha. -
I mean, Anet could always to something like the Allied Races in Wow. The exactly races, only with different starting zone, starting story and some unique design options. Canthanian humans, olmakhan charrs, some isolated pirate norns...

So, story is a walk over now?
Keymaster.7362 replied to Shiny.1638's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Personal Story is way too easy, what i don't mind, because it invites new player to the game. But this exact new player often complain about the huge step of difficulty in Season 2. So I think it's smart from ArenaNet to balance Season 1 as in between this both. -
Don't get me wrong. I kinda like this event, i love dogs and that i can pet them, i loved this music since i heard it the first time on Canachs ship in the story and this bags in bags and dog treat effects are kinda funny. But after this long, long Charrs bug everything else can't be more than a huge disapointment for me. I won't my long Charrs back 😭😭😭
-
I am sorry, but I really have problems to understand the mindset of some people. Why do you think you are forced to rush 9 times trough the story and this as fast as you can in only one week? The achievments aren't going anywhere. You can easily complete them step by step, every few weeks a little bit and you are still done soon enough will all 9 collections.

This would also be my personal ranking. Kaineng is a totally new experience and i love it. No matter if i look down from the Skyscanner, or of i look up from the water canals, the view is always stunning. So much love for details, i love the buildings, the neon and the holographic fishes. In Dragons End i love the contrats. This peacful, endless ocean, frozen in time. Which will be mined in a big way for the human consum. Seitung is not bad in any way. But in my opinion it is simply basic. It don't offer so much new. Echovald is for my a letdown in comparison to the GW1 Version.

Deciding between EoD Masterys
Keymaster.7362 replied to mgghost.4038's topic in Players Helping Players
You have to remember, the living storys did also give always a lot of mastery points in the past. A lot more than required for the living story intern masterys and so they did always help afterwards if you missed some points in the Addon. -
And this, exactly this is the problem. I also tried this event 14 times (28 hours). And i personaly 'nailed' all the mechanics after the 3th time. But no matter how organized the squad is, there have always been people in squad that died on every single stupid stomp, which ignored the tails and did zero cc. And there have been way to often bad RNG with 5 tails, 8 side changes and only 1-2 breakbars. And no, the last hotfix didn't change this issue.
