Kitich.4580's Achievements

  1. Got 3 disconnects in a row while trying to enter the Fields of Ruin map. Heard a lot of complains in chat because of people are doing dailies there and their progress was rolled back a few times. After some stable period (~1hour) experienced multiple disconnects on WvW. Longer then previous ones, so enough time to complete some daylies and roll them back (Yeah, lovely 'Mist Guard killer' required to kill my last NPC 3 or 4 times xD).Then got a lot of disconnects in a row trying to enter the Bloodstone Fen. Teleport -> get to the airship deck -> fly away -> dc -> back to previous map -> repeat 5 times or so. Made some pause to gather some resources on other map (it was OK), then re-tried to enter Bloodstone Fen with the same result. I'm afraid to go Strike missions or any instanced content, any metas or anything requiring more then 5 mins to complete. RIP my game for today :-( Did not check any chat links during this time. Did not change the traits (except automatic build switch when entering/leaving WvW and may be a few switches with keyboard shortcuts).Playing together with my GF. She got dcs exactly the same time. So it seems like something breaks all or mostly all people on the same map and it's not a chat thing.
  2. Well, they are missions around the Tyria, which require the group to complete. For the most of people 'Tyria parties' is the most intuitive place for these. The joke is that it's very intuitive place, but also bad place. Because of what did you write, is true. This is instanced content with an entrance from Eye of North, which belongs to the Icebrood Saga. So it makes more sense to have a separate tab for DRMs. However, I doubt that they will be popular enough to utilize a separate LFG section.
  3. i'm guessing for raid condi quickbrand is more desired compare to heal? Oh, sorry. I check forum on mobile usually and never seen a notification about your post. 2 healers are used in raid usually. Healbrand is a preferable option for 1 of them. Also FB provides quickness only to 5 people, so raid may utilize 1 more source of quickness - QFB (condi or power) or mesmer. That's how I understand things. However, as I already said, I don't do raids, so I'm not an expert in it. Concerning cleric, if you mean cleric stat combination (healing+power+toughness), it was released 7 years ago. The meta has changed a lot and I don't think cleric stats are really used nowadays. Concentration is a must-have stat for today, because of buffs are provided by support classes are often more important then healing itself.
  4. Playing condi quick. Pretty sure that healbrand can keep 100% quickness easily. Fractals groups look for a HFB usually, so I go as a DPS.Strike missions - 50/50 as for me. Each 2nd listing in LFG looks for a quickness so I take that slot.IDK about raids - I don't do them.
  5. I confirm that ascended armor is required only for high-tier fractals. In other game modes it provides you with a small stats increase, however you skill influence your dps much more. Also think about alternative ways to craft: If you ever dropped armor/weapon boxes from open world or bosses, you can change their stats in mystic forge. That's pretty cheap operation. If you like the achievments, plenty of them provide you with ascended boxes as well. Those are difficult ones usually. However, if you gonna do them later, why not to prioritize it earlier.if you do strike missions/WvW/fractals/raids, you can buy ascended boxes from vendors for currency and grandmaster tokens, which is sometimes cheaper then crafting (especially for expensive stat combinations). This means you can start all these activities with exotic armor, then improve your gear 1-by-1.Ascended boxes can drop from daily fractal chests. So if you are going to try the low-tier fractals, that's a good choice. Also trinkets are easy to get with LS3-4 currencies and these agony resistance may be enough for fractal tiers 1-2, may be even 3.Look at the wiki for detailed craft cost. But these are a few general ideas how to save some money/resources for your 1st ascended armor.
  6. The same issue for me: I have a 24-slot bag in the bottom of my inventory for some stuff, which I need to keep with myself, but I use it rarely. If I compact my inventory, all this trash bubbles up so it takes like 5-10 mins to re-sort my bags again. I could use an invisible bag for this theoretically, but there is no invisible boreal bag in game and elonian one is like 1.5 times more expensive to craft. So previously it was a fine option to move 'compact' button so it could not be clicked accidentally. Now there is not. Another one problem I noticed after the patch: clicking icon, then 1st option from list became a reflex. I clicked 'hide rarity/show rarity' for 5-6 times already during the evening. So if devs move 'compact' back to list as a 1st option, it might be even worse then it is for now :-)
  7. Yes, you try to dodge out, because of it looks like an enemy AoE until you notice a purple animation inside. However changing a color would not help as for me. The most of latest encounters are full of visual noise so adding some purple circles on top of orange, red and green ones should be avoided. If you want others to see cast is in progress, why not add kind of cast bar over the head of downed player?
  8. Stuck with the 1st pug group on T4 for a long time until realized that the encounter had bugged. We were closing all sky orb, but boss did not switch phases. So we continued that for a long time thinking it's our fault :-( Then 2nd attempt was done after hotfix with another pug group and it was pretty painful as well. For the sky orbs we tried to split, so each person closes some arena sector. However jumping charges spawn randomly, so you can find nothing around you and around 2-3 closest orbs for the first 50% of this phase. And this happens often. I'd like to have a few more seconds for this or more charges to appear.Fire phases are a piece of cake. Uses the same attack pattern as the air ones, then meteors attack is pretty clear. For water phases I feel like attack pattern changes a bit (or may be not?). Also a few new mechanics are added, which are used in parallel - this brakes the patterns are learnt from previous phases (which is bad as for me) and creates a lot of noise which is mentioned by people in this thread. The water phase is very fast, noisy, and the most of these mechanics are killing you. This lefts unpleasant feeling, however TBH we spent more time on sky orbs.In general, a lot of different attacks, the most of them are too fast and damage too much. It's very difficult to react to telegraphs or warnings, because of lags/ping/human reaction time :-))) So you should learn the pattern of attacks and act before they happen. I guess, Anet tried to reproduce that warm feeling of old school arcade gaming. But for many players it might become just Siren's Reef 2.0.
  9. Let's start from a 'combat log' concept. It's a built in feature and it's common for all MMORPGs. It helps player to analyze fights after they are done and this is the only way to get answers to many questions: What killed me in this fight? Did I miss any boss mechanics? What was that continued damage? Why did I hit that mob less then usually? How could that warrior hit me for 20k damage? So after all the rush you can take a cup of coffee, read your logs and make some conclusions to better understand the game mechanics and improve your skill. So DPS meters are just a small addon on top of combat log, helping us to visualize some data. It's not a tool for bullying - it's a tool for making yourself better. Yes, some people might act toxic or rude because of this. However imagine person with a low dps as a bad-smelling person in a real world. It's uncomfortable for other people usually. Someone might ignore that, someone might say nothing, someone might make a friendly comment, but someone might be rude or offensive. Should the smelling person ask to ban all noses because of they discriminate those who don't like to take a shower? I hope no :-)
  10. These are achievement rewards. So Hobbs sells them only if you already completed your achievements and, for example, deleted them accidentally. E.g. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sentient_Aberration
  11. just.. WOW! I don't like playing sylvari, but this one would change my mind. Asura is great as well.
  12. Well, I see no problem in paid WP for the story instance. Through, as it was said, this is going to be a hub. We are going to use it every day for strike missions, Anet wants us to invest into it, building upgrades. Remember the Sun's Refuge, which contained nothing but a few 1-time achievements. We had multiple teleports to it and nothing for Eyes of the North. Just I see no reason to invest. It's hard to call home the place with the paid entrance.
  13. +1 vote for the best QoL item I ever bought. I thought about collecting city portals earlier. But this one contains portals to all major cities. Crafting stations, fractal and dungeon vendors, mystic forge and even daily activity entrance. If compare with other vip zones, this one contains the most of stuff. Also you can use it by characters parked on JPs and return back.
  14. I pronounce it also in kind of German way sometimes, like B-yora. Or B-jora.
