  1. Did you use the Waypoint by clicking on the map, or did you use the World Boss Waypoint Portal item? The item would definitely move you to a new shard. It is also technically possible that the map shard was closed during the fight (affecting everyone there and not just the OP) and it just so happened to coincide with your use of the Waypoint.
  2. Agreed. The event should be spawned by the key to close the exploit.
  3. The only subscription I would be OK with is one in which you just receive gems each month and nothing else. Subscribed players could get a discount on gems (i.e. you pay for 1,000 gems/month and you get 1,100). I wouldn't buy the sub, but I'm OK with offering a sub like this for those who do want it.
  4. Dailies exist as a way for ArenaNet to influence players to participate in the kind of content ArenaNet feels needs additional participation. They are not going to give you additional options if the result of those options is that you do less stuff they want more players doing.
  5. Overwriting does create downward pressure on demand, as a player will only ever overwrite a Rune/Sigil with one of superior functionality, so once a Rune/Sigil is socketed, demand for Runes/Sigils of lower effectiveness will drop to 0 for that character/slot. Demand for more functional Runes/Sigils should be unaffected (I don't care how much my B-tier Rune/Sigil cost me, if I get an A-tier Rune/Sigil I will replace the B-tier with it). It also offsets that downward pressure with some upward pressure in the form of consumption (old Rune/Sigil is destroyed when new one is socketed). Further, changes in the meta can cause massive changes in demand for individual Runes/Sigils which shake up the existing demand paradigm. If the overwriting mechanic were removed, we'd lose one source of downward pressure and one source of upward pressure, but would also result in a new source of downward pressure on demand, as players would only ever need to buy any Rune/Sigil a single time (and without the offsetting upward pressure from consumption). Removing the overwriting mechanic would also serve to insulate the Rune/Sigil market from changes in the meta, since many players (especially those most likely to adapt to the meta) simply retained all prior Runes/Sigils allowing them to switch to the new meta for "free". While overwriting Runes/Sigils does have a negative effect on prices for B and lower tier items, I believe that the negative effect of removing the mechanic would be more severe and would affect all tiers resulting in a net negative experience for all players. Had all Runes/Sigils been craftable ONLY from day 1 (no salvage and no TP), I think a better market would exist today since it would put all of the demand onto readily-available resources.
  6. I too would have preferred that the Skyscale (and the WvW Mount and Gen2 Legendaries and Legendary Armor) were all able to be purchased on the TP. Not that I would have bought them, necessarily, but because I still believe that the Play How You Want model was the best thing about this game and I hate the slow erosion of it with the forced playing of content that I may or may not enjoy. I'd rather play the things I like playing, convert the rewards from those things into gold, and then use the gold to skip playing the things I don't like playing.
  7. Sylvari don't actually talk, they just invade everyone around them's heads with psychic noise that tricks them into thinking the plant was talking. They move their mouths to further this illusion.
  8. My only request for a change to the Jormag's Claw fight is to make the collectible drop rate substantially higher. Crafting all the Corrupted weapons is expensive enough as it is, making the collection start item an impossible drop was just a bad idea and should be fixed.
  9. The biggest problem with shields is that the enemies attack so slowly that you only wind up blocking a single attack and then getting a huge CD before you can block again. You'd have been better off just taking the hit and healing it or dodging/moving to avoid it.
  10. Runes/Sigils can now be salvaged, which means that the less valuable ones can be converted into valuable ones via salvage and crafting.
  11. Here's a tip for those pesky HOT Hero Points:Get all of the ones you can solo, then use WvW tokens to buy completion of the rest of the HOT HPs.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Notarized_Scroll_of_Maguuma_Heroics
  12. While in game, be sure to hit the "Y" key to bring up the Friends List and pick the LFG option. You can usually find someone either by joining an existing group and entering their map shard, or starting your own group and players will join you.
  13. I have 6 different Legendaries (7, since 1 was done twice for the achievement) with 2 more in production and all except 2 of them were done for the same reason: I got the Precursor. The 2 with a different reason were the 2nd Frostfang for the Twice Told Legend title and Twilight (in progress) because I had Sunrise and figured I'd go for Eternity at some point.
  14. Heart progress is easier in a party, because there are some aspects that grant shared progress as well as ways to manipulate spawns so that all members of the party can use the same node in sequence.
  15. All I really wanted out of Boss Week was a Jormag's Claw Fragment. I think it is irresponsibly bad game design to have a collection start item be based on ludicrous RNG. Everything else in that collection is already time consuming and/or expensive to obtain, why make the kick-off item something that so few players will ever see?
  16. I got Rodgort's Flame from an UnID bag, though I can't say for certain if it was a bag I got from doing world bosses or if it was from something else over the weekend.
  17. They need to add a new slot that can only be used for racial skills, and it can only be activated in open world PvE areas. Then they can remove the racials from being able to be equipped in the other slots and then rebalance them to be fun and moderately useful.
  18. It's very rare and highly sought after. Low supply plus high demand moves the price up. The good news is that you can get it for free from any character's 6th birthday present.
  19. I use something like this, but the problem is copying and pasting for each account, when with LB you could just click multiple accounts and hit launch instead. The one I use has a function where I can right click on the entry and it will then put the username and password into the fields for me, so you don't have to manually copy and paste them separately. Is that what Keepass does? or do you use something else entirely?Yes, I can do that with KeePass. Open the program/browser I want to log intoRight click on the KeePass entry for the account I want to log in as and select "auto-type"Watch as KeePass enters my username and password and logs me inThe only hiccup is when people either use a 2 stage username/password setup, or insert things between the username and password fields in the tab order, but that's not a fault of KeePass but of the inconsiderate incompetents who don't know how to design a proper UI and KeePass does have some options to help you get around those (similar to coding a macro just for that program/site to ensure that your data is being transferred properly).
  20. I use something like this, but the problem is copying and pasting for each account, when with LB you could just click multiple accounts and hit launch instead. 21. May I recommend that you folks obtain a password management tool like KeePass to store your credentials? It will allow you to have insanely complex passwords that do not need to be remembered because it will type your username and password into the login fields for you when you are ready to switch accounts.
  22. They need to break auras into a new wardrobe function that is completely separate from gear. All legendary effects as well as the effects from skins and infusions would then become unlockable and able to be applied from the wardrobe. They may need to categorize them a bit to permit overlaps (something like "weapon", "armor", and "body" should do the trick I think). The worst part about effect infusions is that they were added AFTER the MF% gear debacle was already cleaned up, basically recreating the same problem that had already been solved once.
  23. I've never had one from a mob kill, but I've pulled 1 from my home instance Exalted chest, 1 from a champ bag, and the other 6 were from the Mystic Forge.
  24. Master Crafter Account Unlock: Once purchased, all characters on the account have the option of speaking to a crafting trainer and learning the maximum crafting level (and all discovered recipes) that any character on the account has attained. A red text warning box will alert the player to the fact that doing this will permanently forgo the Exp that crafting your way through to that level would have provided.
  25. Its almost 2019. If you have not your 300% yet you are ether a Casual or new. I clocked 5'000 hours since 2012 and I am not at 300% yet. I play normal, I don't farm for hours though, just doing normal activities. I think people who are on 300% luck since ages are heavy farmers who do halloween farms for hours to make gold/loot. I think this is extremely boring and do other things during this time. Why invest so many borin, repetitive hours in just one game to get 'more' etc. I already have 7 lengendaries, what do I want to have more? All wrong: I farm sometimes, but I play the game regularly and I salvage everything, unless there are some more expensive exotic skins. You are wrong on all sides. I also farmed festivals, but only do that to get most achievements and leave. I may come back for a couple of hours but I never do extensive farming like some ppl do. Still, i am at about 230% MF and many which have a similar playstylke like me do have this. In over 6 year of playing Gw2 i farmed about 2 month. Pre Hot silverwaste. The rest was WvW and Story/Events. To be honest, i really don’t understand how people avoid all the luck. With only playing about 12 to 15 Hours a week, which is mostly WvW, i managed to get more luck in about 2 years then you need from 0 to 300. Here come the „casual“ players that actually play more then i do and explain to me how they can’t get to 300. Wierd. I hope you realize that time spent (either in total years playing or in hours per X) is wholly irrelevant. You should be providing the number of times you have repeated the "Agent of Entropy" achievement, as that would give people relevant data by which to compare. Thats a awesome idea actually. Let me Check. 1555 Times. Now im interesed on other players numbers. That's an impressive number of repeats. I've been playing since the week after launch and I've got 380 repeats.
