  1. I think the scaling? or amount of spawns/people required to do this event is totally off. Think it needs looking at, simply cannot get the event done.
  2. Yeah, this has happened to me as well now. Story is stuck.
  3. Yeah this is correct - all 3 for the Prime in the middle, and then only the correct colour for the 3 when they split. The point someone mentioned about being careful when Prime is close to 25% could be right (although I was more careless, and still got it.) the 3 seperate ones jump out from the middle, so I guess if you have all 3 on, it could hit one and fail it - but that's a guess. I can't see any other reason to fail, tbh.
  4. I've done this achievement now with my Guardian. Now I tried it endlessly with Firebrand, and just couldn't get it. Switched over to Dragonhunter - and got it first time, no problem at all. My theory here is condition damage (ticking) I think* causes it to fail when the attunement you are holding ends, causing it to fail - possibly (but only my guess.) Pure power DPS builds might be the way to go here.
  5. I agree there should be skips. Just to prove a small point, during "Your kind of people" the dialogue from the log boxes is so slow, it's actually quicker to log off, then log back in and move to the next one than listen to it. Just a minor thing, but that says a lot about it.
  6. Yeah, i'll chime in on this one. I'd like to reverse this and put it in the people that had this idea. Would people at Anet want to do the story 9 times? I bet they would get bored s**tless the same way we would, and that would probably say it all. I'm only part way through a 2nd run, and practically lost interest in it already. Add in the drearyness of "deepest secrets" which fills me with dread now - I mean, I could play a game of chess, watch a few films, go for a 10 mile hike, paint the sistine chapel and godknows what else and they'd still be waffling on. Is there a solution? maybe. After the 1st playthrough, and doing it properly - maybe they should have a "skip" button somewhere where you can bypass all that waffling on and complete it quicker (and still doing the rest) to make it less tedious.
  7. No it isn't. I'm one of the few on gw2efficiency. I have both achievements for this. Problem seems to be that many commanders are doing events fast as possible for turtle (that way) and seem to be neglecting this event at the moment, but it is doable but have to work at a rapid pace. It isn't the same scaling problem as the Maw, as even with a few people you need absolutely loads of Jade.
  8. Still bugged. Although I did see it working once strangely - did it, and didn't award the achievement when it was done. One of numerous things that need fixing...
  9. Very late to this: But the Ho-Sook event is at the southern dock - just have to wait for that ship to come in.
  10. I've tried this. Hit two with the jade, fish and anything else. Doesn't work - it's bugged. Bit like the "stop enemies from tainting the jade shipment". Not sure that works at all, as the first event just seems to play in a loop...
  11. Perhaps it was... But I think what it does say is that the commander did a very good job organising things, and getting things explained and everyone pulling their weight as a group. Kudos to him.
  12. I've now beaten this meta twice. But I can see both the nerf, and keep it as it is sides here. Last completion, we beat this with nearly 5 minutes - yes 5 MINUTES, not seconds to spare. We had so much time left we could have had a picnic and had a chat about our summer holidays. This wasn't a 250li/kp squad. Just an advertised one, planned well in advance, with subgroups and everyone saying what build they had and placed accordingly. The instructions were clear and concise, and everyone CC'ed when they had to (and did every time) and dodged/did greens as intended. Absolutely flawless, with a random group, showing it can be done - and well. The problem long term with the meta as some have mentioned - I think when i'm done with a few other achievements related to this meta I don't think I would play it again, and only do map related achievements. The rewards are terrible, the turtle isn't really that good anyway and isn't worth the time invested in it compared to others you could do for gold. So changes to the rewards would be a considerable improvement at the very least.
  13. Might be the only one, but would like to see Phalanx armour returning at some point 😛
  14. Or when it does, it doesn't give it to everyone. Can confirm this 100% now. It only gives it to the instance starter. Had a team, and each one of us had to take turns to get it.
