  1. Balance in a large scale game without ‘structure’ is impossible. Making it so more professions/type of toons are involved in group play is possible. We’ve seen it before, and most recently until some of the recent balance changes. Population balance is where we have more probability to come close. And even then.... yes.. u cant truly balance classes... there are way too many variants to take into account.. and i dont believe the ppl complaining about class balance fully grasp this yet... 9 unique classes... god knows how many types of gear stats... 16 or so gear positions... foods... utils.. how many skills? traits? blah blah.... balance....pffft...... forget balance... give me more skills..more traits... more evrything..... give me 2nd proffessions like in gw1... make it so theres 1000s of builds... hundreds per class..... u dont need balance....u need to work out things... find new builds.. experiment.... much more fun to be had.... (id guess a squad could use every proffession with so many builds available.....even rangers..) and.... revert wvw back to year 3...pre hot... (i dislike evrythin anet has done since hot came basically ) ye... this would make me happier about wvw i think.

  3. just look at how many players are left playing wvw now... its not only warclaws...its evrything for the last few years that anet have done..to make this mode more casual... and less pvp challenge...or skill based.... they only cater to the blob style of play.... which if anyone didnt notice is driving players away.... Even with linkings wvw seems empty alot of the time.... roaming is terrible right now.. compared to anything in the past..guilds are leaving, roamers are leaving... and there are still ppl that say stuff like warclaw is fine... wake the feck up ppl. wvw is no fun without the playerbase to support it.. So even if somehow u have a biased view toward ur own playstyle.. or type of gameplay.... just admit that wvw is approaching (actually is in ) a dire state of affairs... The worst thing about it is theres nothing we can do about it, nobody can agree on anything... (this thread and every other thread is proof of that.. but the numbers of players playing dont lie ) Anet seem to not care, or like someone above said..maybe they are doing this on purpose, altho i cant think of a good reason why they would... even if they cater to pve players, and those that want to just mindlessly karma train... surely they can see that this approach is not gaining more players...infact the opposite.... meaning less income for them... my opinion is the more of a challenge ur faced with in a game, the better it is... seems warclaw is just the latest bad implementation of something added to the mode, that only benefits those that dont want to fight... whats wrong with giving it 1hp.. u can get where you need to go.. get back to the fight etc.. u just cant prance around enemies on it... or just plain remove it.. and while ur on ..remove red bl... remove merc camps...skritt and centaur.. and anythin else irrelevant.. these few simple steps would be a start in the right direction atleast.... perhaps one of the worst things to happen to wvw was the actual linking system, id much rather have less servers in order to condense the player base... atleast communites could be a thing again... and we as players could work toward making our servers better at wvw... a goal.. a purpose...... right now there is nothing to work toward ... anyhow... another pointless rant.... because..as we all know.. none of the above will happen... and not only that..but literally..nothing will happen.. anytime soon..
  4. mounts would be totallly fine IF! 1: They had 1 hp (mounts shud not be anything but a vehicle to get you from a to b... and they should not allow u to avoid fights and prance around an enemy group thinking ur invincible.... go within range of an enemy u should get dismounted.. ) 2: Mount stomp was removed... ( this is just my personal opinion and really no.1 is way more important... why should ppl that just showed up influence the outcome of a fight by instantly finishing a player or players... atleast make them get down of their mount to stomp.... <--- u can think of various scenarios for this, i wont list them all.
  5. perfectly put... and i also saw this coming..... linkings was the last thing wvw needded... yet str8 after it happnd all the idiots thought.. "wow this is great,, lots of ppl in wvw now" but now no communities can be built.. no server pride.... nothin.... just a pointless game mode with nothing to show.. 8 weeks of tryna mix with diffrent ppl knowing theres little meaning to it because at the end we start again....however.... there are plenty other things anet got wrong even before linkings...and after.... literally evrything they introduced starting with desert bl..... i still enjoy wvw, but it could..and should have been so much more than it is.... im just glad i got to play it for those 1st 3 yrs.. before it went downhill .... and ye..it maybe took awhile to get to the bottom of the hill.... but here we are.
  6. amazing idea... but.. to expand on this conept... could we also get portable stepping stones (that we need to build up sith supply..say 5 sups) that we need to place in order to get anywhere... and if we touch the ground... we get sent back to spawn.. and have to start the process again.. when we place enough steppin stones we are then allowed to build this new structure ... and then we are safe to steppy stone toward enemy objerctive..... and if we fall off the steppy stones this time... we oonly get sent back to the structure.... such gameplay would allow for true wvwers to get down to the most important aspect of wvw which is building useless and pointless stuff coz we dont have quite enough stuff to build at the moment. thanks anet.... next public poll = portable stepping stones

  8. i guess depends on the size of the larger group... and how many ur runnin with ofc.... just seems like another weird statement to come from you.. ive played since begining and refrained from coming on the forums because...well just seems pointless... i prefer to be playing the game.... and lets just say i think il keep it that way if this is how a post usually goes... lol
  9. im pretty sure vt and yum have plenty outnumbered fights..... finding them is the problem.... and im also sure any other guild mentioned here is exactly the same..i find ur comment kind of strange tbh. so what is it that we do in wvw exactly... walk around doin nothin til we see 1 guy and jump on him? sure....
  10. pretty sure [YUM] dont or rarely run scourge tbh... and i cant remember the last time we did anything together in terms of roamin round... im pretty much solo roamin when i do get on because others have irl shit goin on at mo... (like our guild leader kickin balls for a living xd )however.. we did mostly all make new accounts on eu recently and have been leveling them up etc with the view of playing them when na is blobby/crappy..whateva.and vice-versa... and to me.. the new account has been very refreshing.. so much so ive played it more than my main of late.as for guilds that roam and are good.. i think u pretty much nailed it... [VT] bein the one id put top of my list. and id just like to add that warclaw even tho its fun... has had a negative impact on smallscale fights.. why anet cant just give it 1hp or somethin il never know... but like evrything else wvw related anets decisions have astounded me ever since hot released.... the only thing keepin me around is that damm addictive combat system that i cant find anywhere else....
