  1. the good: 1) had fools hyped for a bit.
  2. its just an "extra gimmick" introduced making wvw worse, why bring it as an extra, why have both, surely get rid of both? and 5 players ressing is different than one mount stomp, for a start if someone goes down its up to those 5 to react.. still id rather get rid of both scenarios... this is my point - almost everything introduced since hot came along has been for the worse... just my opinion on wvw
  3. regarding warclaw, i would have no problem with it if it didnt have damage on engage, and worst of all mount stomp, around almost every zerg fight ppl will be hanging back on their warclaws rdy to run in and stomp the downs, ridiculous. (i myself have done it, because its an easy mechanic to abuse ) and why should you do a decent chunk of damage just for getting off your horse ( x by more than 1 dismount ), again ridiculous.. even so i still wish they'd never been introduced.. but i know that we are now stuck with them, so take away the damage and the stomp, as a compromise ( mounts should purely be for travel ) Just another reason in a long list of reasons why wvw population has declined. and no roaming is not dead with patch but it is already dying- aswell as every other part of wvw (are we going to keep saying wvw is fine when servers are doubled or tripled together and it still feels like less players are playing than pre-hot, the only excuse for people saying wvw is fine are new players, or players that have only played after hot came along and linkings. everyone else is in denial.
  4. 5 x cele fb , invincible x 10 new 50 man squad meta (delete all other classes)(stealth problems gone in one swoop)

This^ fek balance - give us 100+ builds per class, nay 500+ builds per class... more the merrier.. counters for everything, and balance wont be as much of an issue , also a lot more fun theory-crafting builds. core ranger is a really strong spec in the right gear/hands etc, not sure what your point is, as if you have never died in wvw... ( i dont think dissing ppl here because they died has any bearing on anything ) everyone has died to everything in wvw if you have played long enough, ppl even die to dolyaks etc.
  6. really depends on ppls own internet, im uk based, on eu my ping is 30-50 and on na (where my main is) its 100-120 ish, ive decent internet at 130 ish down and 20 up. i dont notice lag at all on na, infact i believe they have better servers than eu, and the higher ping doesnt affect me, if it goes above 200 or so id b more worried, but someone else posted their ping is 300, doubt id enjoy that.
  7. correct answer, at-least in my experience, ive played both na and eu since start of wvw , but ye i guess thats how i see the skill levels too

  9. id really like a skateboard.. so in downtime i cud do tricks n stuff... like tony hawks.. perhaps gaining score for tricks performed to increase ppt...
  10. im with u on this, cele havoc/smallscale will be the way to go imo , 2 fbs - 2 necros - 1 scrapper/mes/ele all cele... ouch.

Great.... so what's the better way of doing things? there is no difference to having linkings.. than having no linkings with half the amount of servers. except.. there wouldn't be so much of a change of players each link etc...which imo would be a better way to do things. why anyone likes the current system of links rather than the old system of single servers (but less of them obv) is beyond me, infact if someone could explain..thatd be great.

  13. wouldnt adding capture points stop solo caps...or even duo or trio caps... essentially you would create a situation where u would need more players just to cap an objective.. kinda forcing ppl to play in a group..the bigger the better... just another step toward forcing zerg style play... its a no from me. but it fits with anets direction of late . ( mounts ). making small scale / solo play less feasible.. slowly but surely.. This actually ties into my understanding of what the proposed alliance system is going to be, instanced wvw where guilds/players join an instanced wvw map until that map is full, and then a new map would open for anyone else joining - in essence creating full maps except for the last opened.. which to me sounds like a laggy/zergy mess of a game... thats if it ever gets implemented ofc... i guess its why im not excited about alliances.. not that i know for sure this is how it will happen.
  14. technically they should already be marked str8 away after flip.... not sure why anyone would want to give them 10 mins extra.... the problem now is there are certain spots where they don't get marked... and if they wait 5 mins for ri to go, they can then wander round freely without fear of marked.and there are several places where you can do this.id guess this cant be fixed without map redesign.. because if it was an easy fix it would have been fixed by now... right.... right..... ok maybe not... so i don't know for sure
  15. i didn't miss his point, i was making my own that this patch could make things worse.... i have an open mind but wanted to state anets history on " making wvw better" also that this patch isn't what im waiting for to change in wvw.
  16. maybe because 90% of what anet has introduced to wvw for the last 4 or 5 years has steadily made wvw worse. little by little, maybe........ all opinions ofc, but the proof is in the pudding... and the pudding is a bit mouldy and smelly right now.
  17. im guessin the op meant fav prof in wvw to play.. just a hunch, mind i could be wrong.. this is where anet went wrong with all those polls years ago around hot release, letting everyone and their dog vote for wvw related updates - and now we are stuck with the stupidest map and rotation of maps, along with many pointless gimmicky implementations.
  18. please get rid of links,,, if anything reduce the amount of servers until population increases (haha good luck with that - but heres hoping ) bring back the chance to develop a community... thank you.
  19. i shall represent the player base that doesn't play, the base of player that plays no more,, based on current player base vs previous player base, which ofc is based on player base numbers from years gone by, but basically i preferred when only base professions were a thing, I R not comin for ur base no more basically.
  20. just cap all maps to 10 player max, instant lag fix and queues on all borders making wvw fully populated again.. 2 birds 1 stone :)
  21. rather than alliances (which seem more and more like an impossible promise from anet) how bout a game rollback... to a previous build.... go back to year 2 or 3 - pre hot... ( back to before things went horribly wrong ) base professions - blasting water fields etc - no 4 stat gear? i think. less buff heavy skills and lower power creep, no dbl etc. prior to the mass exodus of guilds. back to building community's and players feeling slightly more involved in the wvw experience. would players return, who knows. is it possible? certainly seems more achievable than alliances at the minute
  22. sad times.. rewind 4 yr or so i had such high hopes for this mode... it was already unique and fun, and was in its most basic form - pre hot, the base platform was there to tweak it and mold it into something great, but it sadly forked in the wrong direction.. ( imo ) i remember using the word "potential" alot back then.
  23. warclaw just made more ppl leave wvw, tis funny that alot of ppl think it improved the game mode somehow. another example of anet catering to blobs imo. meanwhile anet makes gem sales from the sheep that are left ps - warclaw would probably be fine if it was just a vehicle to move u around a teeny bit quicker, without mount stomp or any dmg abiltiy, but no... had to add gimmicks.. just like dbl and its gimmicks, and every other so called wvw update/improvement... filled with unnecessary gimmicks. ( extra siege - spaceship avbove sm - stealth fountains - tactivators - dbl transform into an eagle and fly around - etc etc ) wvw should jus be about the combat - and the struggle for map control... but no all this extra bs gets addded , and guess what.... wvw is at its lowest point, least amount of players playing.... i wonder why.............................. ( i didnt even mention power creep - stats - bufffs - or stale fb-scourge meta )
