  1. I would bet even a cleric revenant would do it but would take bit longer well i aint tryin cleric rev solo... feel free :) It will take time :p to kill lords with it,,m but for tem support most will call it broken since can counter some stuff that people don’t want counters to. What if I told i that I went from fb to a cleric herald??i would say try running a condi support, you can still heal but do dmg too, like runnin apothacary ventari or sumthin, the build im runnin on my rev has 650 healin power or somethin, together with some traits gives you great sustain, and torment stacks can go 30+ stacks, with about 1500-1700 condi power, however id still say wasnt as good for solo as soulbeast. i get your point tho, broken builds are usually in the eye of the beholder, so to speak, and as far as ppl asking for better balance, its a waste of time , id rather anet opened up more build variety, and stopped fiddling with numbers on some skills etc , when this approach just means the so called broken builds remain (in the eye of the beholder).to put it short gw2 should go in the direction of gw1 in terms of builds/specs/traits, whatever..... 100s of options per class... forget balance. think counters for all the diffrent builds. ( which means more fun for us, think of all the theorycrafting )

  3. can confirm condi rev can solo hills, was the the 1st oppurtunity since patch to try it.
  4. yup noticed this too, find myself getting way lower to the ground before i realize and start mashing space bar xd
  5. i havnt changed build or gear, nor changed how i fight , slb is still great tbh, the no pet swap means i cant run away as fast...but thats it... so yes there are builds/gear u can use still after patch,
  6. are the keep lords no longer soloable with the buff? havnt tried any yet. Has anyone else had a chance to try?
  7. If you don't think its tactical I am assume you think cleaving and spiking are the same than? No there quite often good reasons to do one or the either. Mount stomps are just one more level of the same with trades of you won't be doing any other damage while mounted and you might be able to extend further to get a stomp but at the risk of now you are out of position. We already have stealth spikes, shadowstep spikes, mini-spikes, gyro spikes, stab spikes, invul spikes, this just gives the same spike to other classes that don't have close to a guaranteed spike. except it stomps 3 ppl at once.. or 2.... ok so reduce that to 1, still a lame mechanic, my opinion
  8. good point, also there are times when the X doesnt even happen at all...... another annoying thing to me are the "ghost Xs" nnc, nwc,sc etc.. but thats another subject
  9. now this is annoying :P golems are soo cheap now - but lets say they went to over 1gold again, there would probably still be some ppl doing this. its a valid tactic for sure.
  10. well its a good discussion anyhow , speaking for myself im ok with the change, tbh id call it a small buff, however if we are catering for newer players then fair enough, but remember they wont be new for long and will also at some point find it easy. overall its not something im worried about if it changed back,so its down to anet i guess.
  11. maybe if we are trying to cater to new players , eotm could be used, like a brand new player hits enter wvw and can only goto eotm (the new starter mode dumbed down basics of wvw to introduce new players) they level up there a bit and when they hit a certain rank (and have learned basics) say 100 or whateva, - they are transported to regular wvw, and can no longer access eotm.... so only brand new players allowed in. hmmmm
  12. if you find it annoying, change how you do it ? learn your class better? pretty sure we were all new once, and have improved ourselves from that point, to now be able to take camps/towers/whateva... you learn stuff as you go, like stackin the camp dudes with los.. etc
  13. I mean what do we lose? I can flip a camp without any issues now and I could do it before. It makes no difference. But give weaker players ways to contribute and feel useful! We all benefit from that at the end of the day. i believe something is only an achievement if its not easy to do, therefore id say let the new players learn by their mistakes, they will probably feel a better accomplishment after a few trys, rather than just easy mode. ( not that its not easy - if ya get my drift ) also i saw plenty new players die to camps even prior patch - its a game mode and we need to be able to learn it, not have easymode and learn nothing except its easy.
  14. tactical ? you mean its the easy option - have a "cheesestomp" watching, waiting to stomp those 2 downs your group managed spike down , rather than , actually stomping them, incase you cant manage it. ye real tactical. if anet introduced a portable pocket nuke that killed everything within a 1000 distance of its landing yad be all for those tactics too eh. games dumbed down enough without all this extra easy/cheessy/gimmicky bs.
  15. i prefer nm/ws/sb and i wouldnt say i messed up :open_mouth: id say you messed up saying i messed up. id never say you messed up as its results that count, and i dont know your results with your build, but i know my results with mine. also this thread is a joke :) hamstrung my buttt
  16. That issue at hand is that the mounted player is immune to CC and power damage (not condi). I'm totally fine with a melee player using a Warclaw to close in, dismount and engaging a player in melee range, say against a Ranger. I'm not a fan of said mounted player being able to start the fight by inflicting damage with no risk to themselves. Also not a fan of the stomp. Love downstate, hate downstate, whatever anyone's view on it is, downstate exists, and as such the stomp should be worked for. Just going YOLO into a hot lords room and performing a stomp without having to use stealth or stability is a negative in my view. @Turkeyspit.3965 said: And on a "Battlefield", if a Calvary is charging me with a saber drawn, I can simply shoot them off their horse with a bow or rifle. On a "Battlefield", the horse doesn't absorb all the damage for their rider. I'm OK with the mount having a health pool to act as a buffer to the rider, but the tradeoff for that should be you can't use the mount to inflict damage. If you want the mount to do damage, then all damage the mount takes should be removed from the player's health pool. Pick one. @Turkeyspit.3965 theres a job at anet for you - Lord almighty of wvw development (or atleast there should be)
  17. yup.. 1st impressions are, a few more condi ppl to kill (or newer players) and that everyone is now talking bout this patch like wvw doesn't need some major overhaul, players are easily brainwashed for a new mount skin or an ever so slight change to the norm... and i guess when everyone remembers about alliances again, anet will just release another mount skin reward track to delay the disappointment. bravo.
  18. +1 remove horse stomp, absolute joke of a mechanic. (also the damage engage)
  19. Soulbeasts,: long standing without a tradeoff, are now receiving theirs—they lose combat access to a second pet and must choose carefully which pet they're going to be bonded with in battle. We're also enhancing several core ranger traits and some select weapon skills that we felt were on the weak side. its clearly due to this change, when your on your horse your pet is technically out ( yet it isn't since your on your horse and there's no double saddle for you pet to ride behind you :P so you don't see your pet ) so when you dismount into combat ( remember the game thinks your pet is out when in fact it isn't ) you cant then swap your pet to make it appear so only thing you can do is merge and unmerge to make pet appear - or get ooc , i would hope anet fix this asap. :)
  20. alliance announcement: > 2 years later - balance patch : > 2 years later: > big ui rework (fix mount ui etc) : > 2 years later : > new mount track + balance rework: > 2 years later: > reward rework? : > 2 years later: > : > 2 years later : > 2 years later : > 2 years later: >insert alliance update somewhere above maybe
  21. yes, i noticed this too, very annoying
  22. i have no problem playin my soulbeast build, none... altho i guess it changes the benny hill escapes to nigh on impossible since id swap into bird for retreats, no longer can i run like forrest away from a fight, il have to rely on one pet for combat and disengage (like when your fighting and a group of 5+ enemy veer toward you) however we still have stealth/sword leap and evades etc, so ye it wont be as easy to escape an oncoming zerg or group... gamebreaker? not really.
  23. meh , dont need it , aint payin for it.. would prefer wvw to be sorted out, not lacklustre patch and pve priced skins. all "meh"
