I would love to see ArenaNet continuing the nerf train, because the meta still needs some adjustmentsRevenants: Need major sustain nerf - 2 heals, one of them most often grants you a full heal if you are getting targeted by multiple enemies, blocks, evades, elites that let you take less damage, traits that make you close to immune to conditions and that all on one build most of the time is just too much. Revenant specs are dominating PvP since the class was released. Elelementalists: Need also a sustain nerf - Obsidian Flesh should immobilize on use, their heals need their multiplicators severely decreased and Shock Aura in group fights is borderline toxic. A good Tempest being able to permanently tank several enemies is a huge burden to the meta. Necromancers: Players other than Necros have been saying it since release, nerf the HP on Death Shroud and add some form of degeneration. Fighting a Necromancer with full shroud is like fighting a 2v1. Lich Form damage needs to be also adjusted according to the damage reductions from last patch. Guardians: Even though I play Burn Guardian specs myself and have fun with them, I see that there needs to be a nerf in the AoE burn output Guardian specs can ditch out and our corresponding Virtues grandmaster trait Permeating Wrath is insane. You can easily drop 10 stacks of burn on a group of 4-5 people in a teamfight. Thieves: I think ArenaNet knows that a Condition Thief nerf is in high demand after all the rage that was going on in this forum the last months. Rangers: Need major sustain or pet damage nerf, because as it stands now, we have Rangers which run around as tanks, camp/kite on points and are still able to ditch out some strong damage with their pets. It continues to be a problem since the Beast Mastery spec that was big like 7 years ago. Engineer: Need a slight nerf by reducing the damage multiplicator on the Grenade Kit. I think if a range skill does good damage it is never a good idea to make it also spammable.
  2. Go with Rev, the build is optional, you get mobility, stuns, 2 heals, less condition damage and a ton of blocks evades

  4. I remember a lack in the frequency of Balance Patches being the reason for alot of top PvP players quitting the game and I think it gets addressed far too little.

We had a great choice of unique mount skins the past week and I think many would really appreciate if Anet would put the War-Torn Marauder into the gem store for 1 day only if need be, since alot of people had exams in Germany during the time it was last offered and we didn‘t have any unique skin for the warclaw last week :) I would also love to see the Desert King Glider back, if that wouldn‘t add too much work (want to finish my Sunspear themed Guard) =) much love
  6. As we are currently bringing back the best among the unique Mount skins how about bringing the War-Torn Marauder back for 7 days? This week I got the Shrine Guardian, the Dreadnought, the Magnificent Hummingbird and the War-Torn Marauder would be the last piece to complete my collection. Much love Anet :>
  7. Hello, I have a few questions regarding legendary armor pieces and their animation. I am currently thinking about creating the heavy variant, because I really like the wing animation when you draw your weapons. My questions are as follows: 1) I really like my armor combination now. If I go legendary, but transmutate my armor, does it keep the wing animation or does it become normal armor again? 2) Do you get the wing animation only when you have the full legendary armor set? And if not, which of the heavy armor pieces produces the wing effect? Thank you for any valuable information in advance.

  9. I don't know, 1 stack of burning with 1000 condition damage hits for 286. If you somehow get hit by 20 burning only then you will be hit by 5.7k ticks. So you are trying to tell me you have ONLY burn on you in a teamfight? Add 2 stacks of burn to 3 stacks of torment, 1 stack of poison, 4 stacks of confusion and we get into typical teamfight territory. I can only repeat myself, it is a fact that there are more ways to recreive condition damage than to avoid, which puts conditions at a huge advantage. That will hopefully change and conditions return to their true purpose - steady damage over time
  10. You don't need to cleanse conditions if you just prevent the application. Dodge, block, evade, kite away etc. Yeah, again I think I have more potential to evade condition damage than most other classes, so that is not the problem. Next patch will have conditions hopefully nerfed into oblivion, because „try to dodge“ is the typical first argument of people who abuse an unfair mechanic ever since this game was released

It completely contradicts the whole reason behind power damage and condition damage. All skills with conditions need a complete rework - reducing the stacks applied of every condition on every skill and prolonging their duration would be a start. Get the ticks down to 2-3K max and the logic behind condition damage is maintained. Maybe if it hits 7-8k you deserve it You need to avoid condi dmg in the same way that you have to do with power. If you have 14 stacks torment or 10 stacks burn, maybe because you do not move your kittenYeah sure makes sense telling that a Firebrand, who has 4 condition removals, resistance, blocks and heals. Fact is there are more skills that apply conditions with low cooldown than condition removals which have typically high cooldowns, that is a simple fact, meaning no matter how you avoid, you have faster conditions on you than you can remove, so your standard broken mechanic defender argument of „tRy tO aVoId“ makes no sense logically seen. Or even in a teamfight - condition removals are even more worthless in those scenarios. Not seeing that condition damage is a broken atm is a sign that you absolutely don‘t understand what is going on when you play. Run from reality as much as you want, but conditions will be nerfed when you install the next balance patch and it will be deserved

  13. Something is broken in a game when conditions, which are supposed to do damage over time end up doing more damage per tick than actual power skills. Last balance patch didn‘t only hit conditions so little, but nerfed group condition removals on classes like Firebrand
  14. I was under the impression that balance updates were announced to happen regularly. That‘s why I am a little confused about why we still haven‘t received any informations until now. I mean, condition damage makes playing normally impossible at the moment, the same 3 classes (Nec, Rev & Engi) dominate sPvP for 4 or 5 years now and I really thought last patch was a step in the right direction. That‘s why it is even more important to follow up with new balance updates after the last big one.
  15. You can‘t really do anything, because GW2 isn‘t designed to let 1 player clutch it out against 5 players when the rest of the team is failing. But if there is anything like clutch potential, thieves have the best shot of doing so through mobility. If your team is wiped out and you are the only one alive, you should just decap anything that is possible (as you said) to minimize the points gained by the enemy team. Other than that +1‘ing in a teamfight has the highest probability of wiping the enemy team out and getting you control over the map. If your team doesn‘t win a +1 teamfight, there is nothing to do - the quality of your team sucks and you should think about the next game. Don‘t be frustrated, it‘s a typical characteristic of a team game

  17. The good capes like the Emblazoned Cape or Joras Cape were gone far too fast, right when I had exams here in Germany and couldn‘t play much :/ many people, me included, would appreciate them coming back for one week only, my creditcard is desperately waiting lol
  18. I think Anets decision to nerf everything across the board was a good one. I don‘t find myself having an unfair disadvantage against most classes anymore, they do their job well. And still the 2 problem childs of PvP are broken beyond belief for their sustainability and boon/condition spam. Can we call the child by the name and demand some boon/sustain nerfs for engi specs and a shorter Deathshroud for the Nec ones with less health? They are dominating PvP for 5 years straight now
  19. I believe Guild Wars 2 still has great potential to become an all time great like CoD, GTA or FIFA, but that needs some good marketing moves in 2020. ArenaNet should focus on the competetive aspect of Guild Wars 2 and by that I mean PvP - competetive games are what gets and keeps people hooked. Pay a top streamer to play PvP, give him/her access to cool skins to show off and let them team up with top PvP players. What we can learn from Minecrafts resurgence is that content creators playing games and people creating memes out of them is what makes games spike in popularity. Therefore ArenaNet should: keep the meta healthypay content creator/s (Youtubers/Streamers) to play Guild Wars 2 and allow them access to skins as advertisement. I am literally talking about people like Tyler1 who are used to 5v5 games and have HUGE potential of creating new memes while playing itdevelop the PvP menu, create additions to Heart Of The Mist and ease the process of obtaining skins via PvPreestablish the payed esport aspect of Guild Wars 2 by partnering with an esports league - see the 1st place of a tournament as „expense“ for an extra marketing employee, because the winning team is basically that - support in advertisementtell your marketing team to create some fire memes that are actually funny, partner with popular sites on Instagram and Twitter and share themkids love free games and hate getting destroyed - allow „Free2Play“ people access to single elite specializations through purchase via the gem store. Trying the elite specs will make them buy the Ad-ons. Add also free 7 day trails for each elite specsupport actual Guild Wars 2 content creators by letting top PvP players create YouTube/Twitch accounts & let them group up with paid content creators as PvP teams to increase their reachI played Guild Wars since I was 13 years old, now I am 25, work in business administration and when I think back on what made me hooked on it was that it was a literal game about wars between guilds, about the Hall Of Heroes and the sick life action movie like ads Guild Wars came with. We should go back to that concept and let Guild Wars finally get the fame it deserves with it‘s graphics and lore.

Hello, as I am starting to get back to Guild Wars 2 after a 3 year break and I‘m planning to play through PoF, I would like to ask fellow Guardians about your personal versions of a Gladiator/Paragon-like armor combination. Guild Wars Nightfall was my favorite game and I want to look perfect for the ultimate experience. I would love to see a list of your armor, color and weapon choices with screeshots if you want to provide them. This is what I‘m currently going with, it is somewhat based on Leonidas from 300/Roman Legionairs. Any critique is welcomed.
