  1. My 2 cents, raptor unlock being outside of the main pof story would be better. It maddened me when I came back to gw2 after 5y break ish that I had to either wait until lws2,3, and heart of thorns were done to get raptor, or go out of order and have the story spoiled. I chose to wait, but I'm unlocking mounts on another account for my other half so he doesn't have to play the story out of order (which is a huge no go for him). Not because they are needed, but because I think the qol they provide will make him more likely to play longer than if he started without them. < This is probably true for most new players.
  2. There are people advocating to ban the use of "white list" and "black list", I rank the request to rename the condition 4 out of 10 on the silly scale. Oh dear sighWe'll be lucky if we can use any words at all if some people have their way. We'll have to ban all the words just incase someone is offended.
  3. There are no words for how bizarre this request is. Crippled is absolutely the right word for this condition. No one is being called a cripple in a derogatory way here. (Which would be a very different thing).
  4. You'd be better off going to WvW in your exotics, learning how it works, practising etc... Using the stuff you get in WvW to get the ascended gear and then increasing your stats by that 5% and enjoying the time you spend playing than worrying about "grinding" gold or a mode you don't enjoy for it. Not everyone you are playing against in WvW is going to be in full ascended gear either. I don't do a lot of WvW but I'm pretty sure you can get ascended armour with just Skirmish Tickets and Memory of Battle. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on this.
  5. The gems you buy with gold are gems people bought from anet with cash and are selling to other players, anet are not fabricating gems for your gold. This is why its called exchange and the price fluctuates. Tldr if you buy gems with gold someone else gave them hem money on your behalf, and they get your gold (minus tax)
  6. Since yesterday's patch a lot (possibly most?) people cannot go onto the build tab of the hero panel without the game crashing and completely closing.Traits specced are not working either. I don't mean the hotfix patch, I mean the actual patch. Most of us were hoping it would be fixed in the hotfix patch last night but it wasn't :( I suggest one of these two threads for more information -https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/107851/crash-immediately-when-i-open-my-build#latesthttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/107855/revenant-completely-bugged-since-patch-june-9-2020#latest
  7. Traits do not appear to be reset, just the selection of legends. Once I was able to load my other builds by hotkey my alac build still seems to have all the traits applied and I can still maintain alac all the time with it. I'm not noticing anything amis. Going to go test and see if assassin's presence is still working to confirm. I think you're right, the selected traits do not appear to be applying.
  8. Make sure you log in at least once to claim your free bonfire ;)
  9. Guild Wars has races unseen in any other game and stays away from the generic tolkien fantasy of orcs, elves and goblins. Also doesn't have promiscuous looking cat and bunny girls all over the place. I know ERP is big in FF, but if you just want normal RP Guild Wars world offers a lot of really nice environments and lore for that.
  10. I actually just noticed something I hadn't before. I set up hotkeys for my builds which I didn't have before and was then able to switch them without issue. However, when I go on the build screen, it still crashes. BUT I can only see 3 of my 6 account wide build slots and the ones I had saved are not shown in the list. Is this the same for everyone else with the issue? Does anyone who didn't purchase extra account wide build slots also have the problem? Or am I the only one these are missing for?
  11. Is this still not fixed or even acknowledged? Damn. I feel like a derp for telling my friends Anet will be on it, it'll be high priority. So many people that cannot play properly because they cannot change builds. I can play, just can't do any of the raids or fractals I want to do because I can't change my build or traits or anything else, on any of my characters. I'm sure many are in the same boat.
  12. Wish I hadn't bought those extra build slots now...Already confirmed I have the issue, only build templates I have saved are indeed revenant builds.
  13. Same issue on my revenant after restarting the client to update.
  14. Had not seen this item before, am absolutely going to work on getting this now. Looks like it will make some things in the future much easier :)
  15. It's for the token collector achievement which gives you an item that eats dust. I'm not interested in making a legendary.
  16. I'm TERRIBLE at jumping and platformers, and openly admit I'm absolutely abysmal at any sort of jumping stuff. It most definitely is me that is the problem here. But it's frustrating me almost to tears that I can't get the last 3 tokens I need for a completely non-jumping puzzle achievement because they were placed inside this god awful puzzle and mounting is disabled. Barely anyone taxis these puzzles because you need all the checkpoints to open the chest. Honestly, I'd prefer a system where you have to go to the start of the puzzle (so like you said, you know it's a puzzle), pick something up and then it stops you mounting until you have completed the puzzle. If you do, you drop the token and have to start over. Those of us who just want to get the achievement items that happen to be inside the puzzle can then still mount up and get them easy enough. It would solve the problem with the stupid and in most cases redundant no mount zones as well.
  17. Ok, so I have spent the last hour trying to make one jump in the Ember Bay jumping puzzle. I've made it to the first check-point and I'm stuck trying to make a "perfect" jump onto a bit of rock sticking up after the first glide that seems almost impossible for my character not to slide off. I've made this jump twice (How I don't know) but have probably failed it over 100 times by now. This is NOT fun. The only reason I am even in this puzzle is that someone decided it was a great idea to put the tokens for another achievement inside the puzzle (Token collector). It was NOT. If you're going to make more jumping puzzles, please make them puzzles. Not almost impossible to make climbing up rocks that can't be done if you don't jump at exactly the right time and with your camera in a pixel-perfect angle. You should be able to complete a jumping puzzle on any character, but I'm seriously starting to think that I'm going to have to come back another time and bring something with a teleport skill (Assuming I have a slot for one) because I just cannot make this jump on my revenant (It's not even a jump it's literally hopping up a bit of rock). Why on earth would you make this so difficult? As if that wasn't bad enough the place is plastered with mobs and once your armour is broken killing them is a complete pain. Please stop putting things for other achievements inside these torturous jumping puzzles that were clearly designed by satan or lower some of the rocks so that you don't need perfect millisecond jump timing to actually get on them. If I wanted to play or enjoyed a game where perfect jump timing mattered I'd have played more than 2 hours of Mario in my life (I'm in my 30s) and I'd be playing that, not GW2.
  18. I returned to the game about a month ago, thought I would give WvW a try this week because I remembered enjoying it occasionally. I don't have the mount and am trying to get it. Have been trying for 2 days. I can barely get any reward track progress because I can't keep up enough with the zergs to even get credit for anything (Stuck on tier zero participation, aparently fighting and losing to enemy players doesn't even count as participation). I honestly can't see me keeping at it long enough to ever get the mount at this rate. The amount of stuff you need to get it when everyone else is able to just run off and leave you in the dirt is a massive barrier to entry.
  19. All EU server players who logged in to Guild Wars 2 during the affected period (between 9:40 a.m. UTC and 4:10 p.m. UTC) will receive a free Curious Creatures Mount Select License.9:40 am UTC = 10:40 am BST4:10 pm UTC = 5:10 PM BST "We shut down the EU game servers at approximately 4:10 p.m UTC = 5:10 PM BSTGameplay progress between 9:40 am UTC and 4:10 pm UTC was lost - This sucks BUT - My friend messaged me about the issue at 11:50 BST (So that's 10:50 UTC) that people were talking about the issue all over Lions Arch and the forum. There was only about an hour where it could be said that no one was really aware there was an issue.
  20. I feel a bit cheated because people who logged in and lost nothing also get compensation, but I do not because I didn't log in during the very specific time frame they decided you have needed to. Someone who lost nothing, someone who lost 1g and someone who lost a legendary precursor all get the same compensation provided they logged in between x and y time (Granted the precursor will probably be returned after a wait of about a week or two for support to get to your ticket). So we're dealing with basically 4 groups -Lost nothing but logged in = gets mountLost nothing of real value (nothing worth putting in a ticket about) = gets mountLost a lot, probably will get it back from support but will have to wait = gets mountDidn't log in because knew about issues and thought it was the best thing to do to just wait and ticket after if anything was missing = gets only the bonfire I feel this sets a dangerous precedent for if anything like this happens again in the future. (I.e. People will log in just to make sure they are seen as "entitled" by the computer, which will result in even more players getting free things even though they actually weren't that affected.)
  21. Actually, last weekend I started skyscale achievements from the very beginning and got all the way to only having 4 foods left to feed it before I was onto the jumping puzzles. I was under the impression that after the maintenance if they were unable to restore progress I would be out of gold, out of the gems I spent on some of that gold and have to do all that running around to all the locations again and the time gated food crafting (I had saved some charged crystals but none left now) which would probably delay my skyscale by at least a week. But I didn't panic and said, "No I will wait for them to fix it. I won't log in and add to the panic right now." I was saying if it happened again and I hadn't done much I would absolutely log in and take a chance at compensation rather than not log in and wait it out. < This is my point, if this ever happens again the server will be overloaded with people saying "Quick log in at least once to make sure you are entitled to compensation if they give any", rather than the best advice which was "Keep calm, stay out of the game to lighten the server load, let them fix what they can and then make a ticket if you are still missing things."
  22. Actually, I'm just advocating for fairness here. The people who actually lost things should get something I agree, but people who logged in and lost nothing are also getting the mount. Where do you draw the line? People who logged in and lost 1copper? People who logged in and lost nothing? There is no way to tell what people lost, so they are giving to everyone who logged in during a certain time - But that still means there are people who lost nothing that are getting a mount - this is not fair (If I had logged in for a second in the right time slot I'd be getting the same thing as everyone else who threw caution to the wind and logged in). Either everyone who had a really shitty day of not being able to play / worrying if their stuff would be restored should get it or they should set a value on the amount you needed to have lost to get compensation and dish them out manually. Blanket time stamp is easier to distribute, but far from fair. All I can see happening from this is that if there ever is an issue again everyone will be logging in "Just in case" they miss out on another decent freebie.
  23. If I hadn't done much in the last 3 days and thought I might get a cool reward out of it (more than if I just waited and didn't log in to lighten the server load), you bet I'd log in and out at least once. I knew most of the stuff would get restored so I wasn't worried about losing any progress, just waited out the maintenance calmly (Because I knew that anything I did that day would be wiped as they'd restore the weekend), but I don't see why people that logged in for 10 seconds and lost nothing should get a mount when those of us who also lost the same as they did (play time) get only a bonfire.
  24. I posted this in another thread, but I'm going to say it again here as well -If you logged in even for a second in the allotted time and back out, you're entitled to a mount, regardless if you lost anything or not.If it was only going to people who lost stuff then sure, but people who logged in and straight out during that time will still get a mount even though they have lost nothing. Unless they manually give the mount to players who they know lost progress, a blanket time stamp you had to be logged in between is just a terrible way of making this "compensation" distribution unfair.
