This is a long process that can meet a lot of obstacles along the way (in fact it often does but not all issues are big and even if they are you may not see it!). Hi Mac users, Apple is preparing to release MacOS Catalina. This update marks the end of support for 32-bit apps. If you play Guild Wars 2 using a 32-bit MacOS client, it will stop working with that update going forward. If you are using the old, unsupported Transgaming Guild Wars 2 client, you will have to uninstall your 32-bit MacOS client by following these instructions: https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001707707-Uninstalling-Guild-Wars-2 When you are done, you can download the 64-bit MacOS client here: https://account.arena.net/welcome If you were using the current Guild Wars 2 client for Mac, but haven’t upgraded to MacOS Catalina, simply launch your client and it will update automatically to the 64-bit client! Obviously the initial question was answered. The following discussion was unruly and moderated, despite attempting to try to get it back on track. We want all players to know that they can talk freely about the content of the game, even when the topic is difficult, such as gender identities and sexual orientation. That is, as long as the discussion is respectful. Not everyone has the same perspective and discussions are sometimes a tool to get to understand each other. It seems that participants were unable to have the conversation in ways that meet our expectations outlined previously. As a result, we have to close this thread.

Just so that we're all on the same page: the Prologue episode, called "Bound by Blood" and releasing on September 17, takes place before Episode 1 of the Icebrood Saga!

This content in Guild Wars 2 includes a variety of NPCs. I'm closing this thread momentarily so that we can clean it. Let me be very clear: there's a lot of off-topic posts on this thread that are derailing the thread but also being disrespectful of other players. The Guild Wars 2 forums are a place for every Guild Wars 2 player, irrespective of their gender identity or sexual orientation, and talking about these aspects when it comes to our game is fine, as long as you are respectful to the ArenaNet studio and other players, including those with a gender identity or sexual orientation different from yours.

Bug Fixes: Fixed a bug that affected the player character’s position when mounted.Fixed an issue that allowed ascended herb nodes to be gathered by players who were not instance owners.Fixed an issue that prevented some players from purchasing the Heart of Thorns Emblem Clothing Outfit.Fixed a bug that prevented the Mastery Experience Booster effect from staying applied.

This discussion has devolved into a debate on toxicity and how it relates to the Raids community. We gathered the questions (including in German, French and Spanish) and then discussed with the team what was relevant to our announcement, so that we could answer them. While you may not see a direct answer to a given question, comments that players made had an impact on the script of our event.

Hi everyone, As we announced today during our livestream, players who have purchased and activated Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns before 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) on August 30, 2019 will receive a Heart of Thorns Veteran’s Package through the in-game mail system. This process will take up to 72 hours to complete, so you may not receive the in-game mail until early next week. A small number of players already received an email but it had no attached items. Quick update: it shouldn't matter where you buy Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire as long as you do it now (but depending on where you got it from, it may take a bit for you to get Heart of Thorns activated, full details to follow)
