  1. Anyone else having issues with HW lag in wvw since a month ago? I've been on a break since end of december, and now when I come back, wvw is suddenly lagging.
  2. WvW is pretty much unplayable for me in the big fights, due to senssory overload. Which is strange, because it is normally not an issue for me, but only in GW 2.
  3. Well everything besides heal scrapper, boonbrand and scourge should probably get a look at. Specifically help out elementalist, ranger and thief (although not the last two in roaming). I would like for Anet to take more chanches with the balancing, as there is either nothing or too little.
  4. To put in other words. I do not want to see any meta nerfed as is (except try to do something about the boons, which is a bit nuts with how they work atm), but instead make it so that other professions/classes are brought to the same power level of scrapper (Etc).
  5. I play an engineer every now and then, and it is by far the most easy class to play in wvw (even without rifle). From my personal experience, it is definitely OP. Should it be nerfed? No, cause I would rather see other big scale builds get the same love.
  6. I'm throwing myself into the lot who wants actual counters for boonball.
  7. I would rather like to see buffs to other professions and builds, than nerfs to the top dog builds.
  8. I remember playing warrior at launch, and just demolishing everything with longbow / axes combo. I was also a huge fan of good old LA. PoF was a very fun time for me as well. Playing my thief with his staff as daredevil, wandering across the sand dunes. There was a lot of nightfall nostalgia for me too.
  9. I have had a problem with settling on a character to focus on since firebrand launched. Arenanet is showing extreme favouritism towards firebrand (and other op specs), and they need to bring the weaker specs to the same level, but instead they instead chose to whack everything else with a nerfbat, and I don't understand. None of my main chars was affected much, but I fear when my chars will be hit by the nerfbat, and I'm not sure how much I want to play on my chars when they might be nerfed to oblivion at any time, and my time invested will be wasted.
  10. Oh, I'm pretty sucky in pvp/wvw. I just want to see barrier nerfed to the ground. Just today I saw a bubble / boom ball (looked like 100% uptime or not far from) with a small squad on my side and they were wrecking the others who outnumbered them by a lot, and this was in their castle, where arrowcarts and cannons were shooting everywhere.
  11. I think they should have gone way further with nerfing bubble. Bubble is so OP in WvW.
  12. Yeah, that seems to be the conclusion that many WvW players come to. WvW doesn't need patching. It needs a re-work, a simplification.
  13. There are plenty of groups around at off hours. It's just that there are no super organised zergs (at least I haven't seen one). The blobs come out at prime time, so off hours offers a different playstyle.
  14. I disagree with this. I think that it may be necessary for WvW balance that off hours has the same effect, and I don't think they should punish people who can't play during peak hours by giving them less progress and points.

  16. Yeah, I think that making squad size smaller in WvW could do a lot to improve it.
  17. I didn't want to suggest this as a new WvW player, but now that others have said it, I think I have to agree on that point. I don't mind zergs being strong for having prepped, but it's very riddicolous when you have the boon ball on top. Have chain objectives; like capturing obj in row. The more you do, the higher the reward will be. Maybe this could lead to more aggressive obj based gameplay in WvW?
  18. Long time GW1 and GW2 player here, but relatively new to WvW. Morning and midday, if I can get on then is probably when WvW is most fun. There will be half organized groups, but not over the top organized groups like in the evening (with comps, extreme preparation etc). The big and very organized zergs is not fun, because most of the time it will just be a stampede against other servers. With that said. How does arenanet fix this? - They could vary the dailies more, and have more of them available each day. Theorised effect: people won't be forced to do certain objectives. - Increase rewards for playing objective. - Do something about mindless zergs that ignores obj to kill players. - Have a roulette for different objectives that give extra rewards, based on who holds what obj on the maps (separate from dailies).
  19. I want to start by saying that I appreciate all the organising creating squads and running people through the meta event. It's great. However, there is an issue with leaving newer players behind, who usually don't have Skyscale, and maybe not even Griphon. So, maybe people can try to slow down a little? Even with the bonus event, there are often at least 4 or 5 minutes left. Thank you for your consideration.
  20. Doable on raptor? This section requires some more direction, as it seems to be designed confuse the player (based on how every other mission before has directions), in addition to small window for success. Maybe not a bug, but it is a flaw in game design that should be fixed. "Difficulty" through obscurity is not difficulty. Yes.
  21. The window for success is too small- It's overtuned, and should be fixed.
  22. Please fix this. as it is unplayable. Why does arenanet have to design STORY missions that are so hard? Just have different modes.
