  1. So you nerf a class that is hard (but previously at least rewarding) to play that has no bust, no good/flexible utilities, and no CC. No we have a class that can still dish out sustained damage which is in-line with other options. However, cause of the tradeoffs all the aforementioned alternatives are far superior. If some skills at least got CC before the nerf one could at least justify to bring cata, but now the class got absolutely pointless again...
  2. I play warrior a lot in every content and really enjoy it. I agree that some utility skills need some tweaking because they are lacking compared to most classes (except ele where utility sucks even more). A simple but powerful improvement would for example be to make the banners flip skills, being able to provide e.g. stability when the groups needs it instead of when I plant the banner. Also spellbreaker and bladesworn are really good elite specs which are quite different but both very fun to play. Only berserker needs a little bit help/tweaking, but at least according to patch notes this gets adresses on the 29th.
  3. I totally agreed, big balance changes keep games fresh. They are content for many players like new maps for other players. For those WHO dont believe this: People enjoy League and dota over years only because there are regular big balance Updates.
  4. After reading the patch notes several times I changed my initial very sceptical opinion: I have to admit that I expected this patch to be much bigger. After the balance manifesto I thought Anet would adress the huge discrepancies of the power/potency of utility skills between professions and fix many of the reported bugs. Seeing the patch not adressing those issues (except for a small selection like bloody roar). This was a huge letdown, however I came to understand that this patches main focus obviously was in adressing power dps classes. From this point of view the patch is really good. If the balance patch cycle resumes to be about 2 months it is in my optinion okay if they focus on specific builds and if Anet keeps up that workflow I am content that the game balance slowly but steadily increases. In this light I have to say "Thank you Anet!" for the current patch preview hope you continue and maybe even speed up your good work.
  5. For Cata the energy generation is nerfed with the change, with new energy generation it will be way lower. D/D deadeye is projected between 46k-47k in the new patch. Also Vindicator has a bug wich is ~45k on large hitbox and ~42k on small hitbox after patch.

The rework increases Flexibilität of firebrand a lot with the no tome CDs and the corresponding Cherry-Picking of the strongest tome skills (10 always available utilities including reflect, Stab, cleanse, aegis). With the huge buff to firebrand on Nov 29th qfb/hfb will become even more oppressive in fractals as they are now. Ist you give it even more buffs like the 5% you suggested there will soon bei no resson to play anything else then firebrands (+1 alac source).
  7. d/d Deadeye now will Do 47k damage/sec spamming dagger 2, dunno If this is intended or not 🤔
  8. New patch and the next ele nerf: Do devs even understand the implications of this Hammer-3-Change? With the pulsing field of 1-sek catalyst cannot generate enough energy to do its rotation. So even if calculating those buffs, due to not be able to use 4-sphere rotation and go back to a 3-sphere rotation this patch is another damage nerf for catalyst, killing it even further. Very good job if devs do not understand their own game...
  9. The problem in PvE with tactics builds is the boon application, might and especially, free quickness from "Martial Cadence" so stacking warrior builds is strong for speedclears. So what is my guess that Anet will do on Nov29th? Correct, they will nerf damage instead of adressing the real issue of free boon application, thus making every power warrior build (bsw, spb) unviable, keep smiling and say "Warrior was too strong in group content".
  10. Why does Mechas Shift Signet has 10 times the "power budget" than any other skill in the game? 🤔
  11. I really like the change and cannot understand the complaints. For crafting legendaries I have many items in the bank because they can not be put into the material storage. If I keep them on a character the inventory is cluttered and I often do certain parts of the collections on several characters. Imo this is a great change. Sure, some things could be improved but altogether I am really glad that bank access is available like in this update.
  12. Why do you a patch preview and then "secretly" buff p-mechanist again?! Mecha now after the update has far more ferocity than pre-patch (yea, the october 4th patch) so instead of the "intended nerf" mech again gets hidden solid compensation. Why is this not in the patch preview? Buffing favorite specs secretly is not good communication but a signs that you discrespect the community ...
  13. I totally agree with above post: Even after the patch on Oct 4th P-Mech is still very good, maybe even too good compared to other classes and imo needs an additional nerf. With its CC, full, range, shift-signet teleport, no dps downtime, viability at every boss in game, it is probably still too strong/oppressive for other builds.
  14. Even after this nerf power-mechanist remains really strong and overtuned in several ways (range, CC, blink without any drawbacks) and great for all content. Hopefully it is not too oppressive anymore that people playing other builds actually feel valuable againand do not ask themselves "why do I even play weaver when everything I can do is worse then what that mech-player can do".

  17. Engineer, especially core but also scrapper and holo. I really like to be a tinkerer that pulls gadgets out of his bag when needed. Although I hate that green abomination that does not want to let me play with my beautiful kits.

  20. You obviously belong to the golem worshippers, cause pmech IS top dps at most bosses due to being full ranged, inbuilt blink, ease of rotation. The same holds true to a lesser extent for virtuoso. But mech obviously overshadows it.

  22. Imo it can be simple, the problem is that it also is best in slot or nearly best in slot for every encounter in the game although you just faceroll on your keyboard.
  23. As some seem to not understand why Sylvari is the best race: This strat here for example only works cause of the Sylvari Elite... but not only for ranger but in general
  24. Well only Condi got a slight Nerf. Pmech got a decent buff and is even more laughing at other builds than before.
  25. Sylvari can use its racial skills to ignore Harvest Temple CM greens. So in this case the race is OP, as other races need to rely on either doing them (which imo should be mandatory, I do not like "exploiting" mechanics) or playing one of the few profession that have a profession skill that allows the to ignore them.
