You could also spend some time in maps you've already done or still need completing. Lots of new players needing help and at the same time you can get back into relearning your char. That way you won't get overwhelmed and gain some stuff.

Don't forget that you can send stuff or gold from your old account to the new one through the ingame mail. So check for non account bound stuff. That way you can at least save some stuff if you are not going to use the old account anymore.

To be fair though, if you buy the expansions, the mounts don't just show up. You will have to play to earn them. Getting the skyskale will take a lot of time and effort. But if you are like me, got 5 mounts unlocked, and are in no hurry to get the skyskale, just play as you see fit. Also if you look in the hero, under story journal, it's all neatly in order. 😉 But if you would want mounts, other then the raptor, fast, you will have to jump out of order and start certain missions in PoF to get them. Other mounts acctually need you to complete stories. (I have a feeling I'm making this sound harder that it is though)

Like I mentioned before, you can just use it on a char you already have. Free up the shared slot and get some stuff. Other then that, without using it, it's stuck in the slot.

You can use the booster on a char that is already at 80 though. And you'll still get rewards.

Have you tried what OP mentioned in the first post? There is an edit. Is your game installed in the Program Files folder? If so try putting it in a folder called games or something.

Not sure where I read this but I believe it's between 3 to 30 days before you can gift. See it as a way to make sure nothing illicit is going on. Chances that it will happen before the 30 days are good though. Just be patient 😉

Not sure what you mean by "disguise a kite into a mount". But a kite is not a mount. As for the Raptor, if you have a payed account, the Raptor is free. If you have a free account, you'll get to use the Raptor for 10 hours.

I'm not on the same server unfortunatly. I also don't really do raids, dungeons or fractals. (Only if needed for a reason ) So I think you're best bet is to just ask players in the map. This is because I'm not in a guild aswell and if I do need the extra hand, I ask. Sometimes you will run into a train (they will let you know in chat if there is one), you can join. They are usually indicated with a player having the mentor tag. And from that you can develope friendships in game. But as for the main maps, base game, you are able to do it solo. Hence the asking while trying something. It might take a minute, but there is always someone ready to help! Just don't forget, this is your game, play however you want!

It might help if you could be more specific. What server are you on? Cause it makes a diffirence as to who can help while acctually joining you. Also what issues are you running into? Do you want someone new to the game to learn allong side you or do you need someone more experienced? Is it for PvE? More then happy to help but you're not giving a lot of info. Also, you can always ask in map chat for help! Loads of people willing to do so and someone could help with one thing then another with something else.

@OP, You could try sending an email to support. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a refund. Then if they do expand past 17 you could buy it again. @Cronospere Yes, it is "could buy" 😉

Don't have Skyscale or Griffon yet. I do love my Raptor and Springer and they help with everything in my way of playing. Still, I do work on unlocking them but leave that up to what I wanna do that day, so to speak. So question 2 was hard to answer. I may or may not run into trouble gold wise or mats, or other. But as long as I enjoy what I'm doing, there is no right or wrong. Heck only tried Jackal a few times and it's growing on me exproring new maps with the portals (yes, i was slow on getting what the protals were for before trying the jackal).

There is plenty to do in game. If it's not for you, leave and find something else to do. It is that simple.

Looks like your friend is very unlucky.

You can spend the points in any track you have unlocked for Tyria. So you can spend points on crafting before you you finished commander. You can not skip within one of those tracks though. If that is what you mean, they will have to be done in order. like you can't get supply Line Management before you finish Productive Downtime.
