This is nice as well. I really think from all the reading I have done the past week the bottom line players dont want a fancy patch they want an actual expansion now that this will be our 3rd expansion - an additional race would be in place. If not in this expansion they really should think about it if we ever get a 4th expansion but that I am sure will be way too late and ANET will feel that hit as well as NCSoft over the them as well with another jolt which I hope this does not happen.

ANET should hire that person seeing the possiblities and not actually yet active in the game does sadden me and I am sure others as well.

I have a home portal "love using it" that I use and each class has their "Home" I can see them improve it to allow players to add items like a "House" just like the Guild Halls they can add items as well. I would not see an acutal house but I can see adding more items to the "Home" we have currently. I have added as much as they offer so I have alot of the nodes, plants, and even now at lvl 500 chef I have my own Cooking Station how kool is that !

I still have mine and will use it after I level my 5 toons. I did use it to have an idea how my build can be for a race/profession if it was at level 80. A few were okay and I kept that build others not so good and I went to metabattle to get an idea there and made my own build based on the way I play. I do plan to use my lvl 80 after the EOD expansion.

Well if this patch ends up being an expansion that is what we expect for our money - Great. If not then it is what it is and ANET will have NCSoft at their necks yet again. Bottom line from what I have been reading the players want an expansion worthy to be introduced not a patch. We shall see the rest of their intro to EOD and at the end it will be very clear if they providing us a true expansion or a patch. Yet some are okay ordering and paying for a steak and getting a cold cheese sandwich and okay with it because "it too much work for the chef". This will be ANET 3rd Expansion so an intro to a new playable race makes sense especially when they introduced Cantha and after those videos that were placed in this thread. Honestly right now it feels more like a patch its good they have delayed it to early 2022 if they need more time but the end product should be an Expansion worthy end product not a larger patch and paying for an expansion.

I read that in WvW there used to be an island and there were some underwater fights. For PVE the cave sounds interesting as well.

Okay after reading some of your posts about GW1 about this race as I checked via Youtube but for GW2 I did find some of their stories which are very interesting. I found the following now youtube vids I just finish watching and wanted to share it here as well. So Tengu does have a story. Now, I dont know these youtubers but they seem to know a good amount about this race which after the videos they are a very interesting race. Real question is can my clones help me fish and increase my chances.

I have read and know some older beta WvW players and they all said something like the following: "Rewards .. go to pve.. we are here for the fights..." I am glad we have rewards in WvW and do not know how it was like playing WvW during beta and a few years after that but I have been told and seen in youtube the massive fights. I really hope this WvW Alliances brings out these massive fights again. Viewing these videos reminded me of the massive fights we had in AION which I missed alot as well of course the open world pvp and getting chased when you kill too many players as you are marked as a skull on the world map. Good old days... Anyway if this brings those fights and brings back new and older WvW players - this will be a great thing for WvW and I can finally be part of it a well. Hope for the best!

Time will tell and in a few weeks we will get a better picture what will be in WvW besides Alliances. I dont think WvW Alliances is a solution but a start and we will see if it gets abused like 3 large guides controlling the outcome. I hope this does not happen but I am sure ANET knows this is possible and have an answer to this as well.

You know for the clipping ANET can also say "...It’s just not the current direction..." 🙂 It did not stop ANET from providing capes and then added a checkbox to show or hide the cape, backitems, and checkbox for weapons at least that is something. I am sure someone would reply to your comment about this clipping and say something like... "Why spend time on clipping when they can " place your comment/complaint here"

It’s just not the current direction." Maybe now is the time in the past it seems it was not possible or not that current direction they wanted. However, I do recall that Mike stated that EOD is not the end but a begining (something like that dont recall the exact words) but from what I got out of it is it is going into a new direction so maybe just maybe if not now in EOD the next expansion could have a new race and other items players would like that they are posting.

So far I mix and match different weapon skins which is fun. So far I have not bought all the skins of one type becauase not all my 5 toons are the same or similar style. If my 5 toons all had the same Roman or Egyptian gear then I can see having a full set of the same skins work.

Me too but some I was sad that you do need more than one player cause they have to stand on stones to open gates, etc.. that was one of the fractals as I started to play alone as I dont have the gear yet from what I read I can play until level 17 and I can still get the potions while I collect them +1s and start building my gear. What got my attention from this game was no trilogy is needed ( no tank, healer, dps) to still enjoy what GW2 has and I wish I started a few years ago as I left the MMO trilogy and dont get me wrong I still had fun in RIFT, WAR, AION, etc, but I then took a break and started playing FPS games for a while. Now I am back to these MMOs. On my list I have GW2 , ESO, and New World so I started with GW2 and so far I do like this game alot and can see why many players still play this game.

Fishing in this game will be interesting. Now a few beers on the boat while fishing would be nice.. and of course root beer for the youngins. 🙂

I respect your comment but others will play them. For example, for now I also dont care much for Charr and I dont play them but many do play them and like them. Now I may play them in the future - sure maybe.

Thank you very much for your reply now it makes sense why so many postings and questions about adding a race or in this case a playable Tengu. So the bottom line is ANET has neither confirmed or denied a future playable race or in this case a playable Tengu. Well fellow players.. keep posting your topics and maybe ANET will either reply or add it to the game in the future.

Please note the following: - Just because someone does not address an issue/question - it does not mean the issue is resolved or gone. Let the players keep posting and let ANET reply. - Now some say they did reply and said no and others say they have not replied - then what is it .. - If too many posting then ANET can group them up into one and even reply - that should resolve that issue.

Thank you for your reply. Many of us are either new players or did not start during beta so there will be many similar posts that may have been answered by ANET in the past. Okay now, I keep reading .. they said... okay ... please can someone tell us if they mentioned this via a post, a live stream? In the meantime, I did a search "tengu" and it resulted 118 pages. Starting at page 118 it dates back at 2017 so this is not an old topic from what I noticed. Now so far I read 25 pages starting at page 118 year 2017 and no posting from ANET so far stating something like your comment. Hell after I read all 118 pages and there is no ANET posting found then it is a "she said he said" and no actual proof. Then I will send out an email to ANET and see what they reply so this topic is either a finally put to rest or there is still a chance.

No project is too big if there is a ROI - project management 101 and not added to my 1st post. Again let the players post and ask - let ANET reply if they dont then keep posting. Unless a reply is a direct links to ANET project managers or work for ANET then let the community keep posting and let ANET reply when they are ready if its possible or not. Note - the following statement is not at you but to all. Again I stress the following... let the players post what they want and stop this guessing if ANET can or cannot as only ANET knows and will reply when they are ready. Hell Yea… I would love to see my ranger as a Tengu. Be it a playable race or combat tonic. They can definitely do it. If a tonic then offer it now as part of the early pre-order. I am tired of reading “no they can’t or no new races…etc.” Unless you work for ANET and they allowed you to inform the players or you have actual proof ANET is not going to add new races then stop saying it’s too much work or it’s not possible. Yet they said the same thing with WvW Alliance that its complicated, too much resources, etc.. WvW drops now we getting WvW Alliance. Now is it too late or will it still be able to bring back WvW players – time will tell. Now before this statement is turn around at me – please note my comment is basically saying let players ask for what they would like to see and let ANET directly respond if it’s possible or not. Bottom line, any company will offer/add in this case anything that will increase their sales – they will add it no matter the resources, work needed to make it happen, etc. If it increases their sales – they will add it no matter the resources, amount of work need, etc. Now let us see what else ANET will introduce for the expansion because the main highlight so far seemed more like a patch.
