  1. Any plans on making existing Backpieces/Gliders dyeable? They said this about the previous backpieces: “While we cannot add dye channels to existing backpieces, keep an eye out for dyeable backpacks of different styles in the future”[source] Sad story is sad, not that I had any hopes in this regard. ANet never looks back at things. Anyway, thanks for the info.See also https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/93929/should-arena-net-revisit-gliders-with-back-items-and-make-them-dyable
  2. Thanks, @maddoctor.2738 but I was asking for statistics from what @Astralporing.1957 posted regarding the player base retention and the statement that the game is hemorrhaging players.
  3. Didn't the layoff reduce the workforce to about what it was before? Weren't most of those laid off working on other projects outside of GW2?

  7. We can argue this point until the cows come home but, That is not free(those Gems used in the conversion are gems bought by players with real money). Listen to Mike Z's announcement, "all these features brought to us for free". Yes they are bought by someone. YOU don't have to buy them.
  8. Well, templates can be free by converting gold to gems and then purchasing them.
  9. Meh, changes "not for the better" is a subjective statement.
  10. I blame the level 80 boost for this kind of thing. New players insta-boost and then don't have the points for the different masteries. They then don't want to slog through things to actually acquire them, and why should they when their character is level 80 already and should have many of these?
  11. Maybe you weren't specific enough? Were you talking about high end PvE (upper tier fractals and/or raids) or open world?
  12. Here are a few other GW2 is Dying threads that might interest you:https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/82033/the-fall-of-gw2https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/72817/gw2-is-not-dying-or-ending
  13. I was born in the early 80's. I've played hard games from that era, the 90's and very era since. I find a select few things in this game hard. Not for the most part, but Boneskinner, higher fractals etc are beyond me. Certainly it's not up there in difficulty with genuinely hard games or games that have hard and frustrating mechanics, but there will always be things I can't do. I also find as I get older, my skills are dwindling more and more as well If you find nothing hard that's a reflection on your skill, not some highly bizarre definition put on the rest of the population which suddenly must be tarnished with the same brush stroke, despite of course, us all being different. Saying that there is nothing hard in this game when difficulty is purely subjective is a narrative that doesn't belong in this discussion. Agreed. Having been born decades before the 80s, I concur with this point of view.
  14. Apparently, not everyone was happy about it.https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/94063/banners-in-aerodrome-serious-issues-with-performance
  15. I thought that LS5 was the expansion? Wasn't it said that LS5 would contain expansion-like content? Maybe, when it's all said and done and all of the LS5 chapters have been released, we will have the equivalent content of an expansion? Maybe we just need to be more patient?/me shrugs
  16. I disagree but don't want this to devolve into another DPS meter argument. We already have plenty of those. There is nothing new to be offered in this current thread that hasn't already been addressed elsewhere. https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/1731/i-hate-what-dps-meters-have-done-to-pve-endgamehttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/36695/a-net-please-get-rid-of-the-dps-metershttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/9814/dps-meter-policy-needs-to-be-revisedhttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/29477/dps-meters-and-party-toxicityhttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/38671/flag-dps-meter-user-in-the-gamehttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/36095/in-house-dps-meterhttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/56051/an-in-game-dps-meter-from-anethttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/10170/anet-can-you-make-a-dps-meterhttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/60845/dps-shaminghttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/33610/dps-meterhttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/80769/your-dps-is-trashhttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/71864/do-we-still-hate-gearcheck-and-dps-meters
  17. We are talking about a game here, not your medical files. Certainly. A game where DPS meters were not incorporated from the beginning. I'd argue that was by design. GW2 doesn't require them, so there is no reason to now implement them.
  18. Also, if you use the forums search function for DPS Meter, you will find many existing threads on the topic.
