  1. I am vehemently opposed to in-game DPS meters that others can view. If it is for personal use only, and only you as the player sees your own DPS, then that would be acceptable to me. I disagree that we "need" these options.
  2. How can anyone thumbs this up? Before there was an alternative to Arenanets templates that worked better, and didn't cost a thing. Arenanet made sure we can't use it so we wouldn't have an alternative. Before there was an alternative there were no templates at all. That was the point. As for Anet making sure that ARC templates could no longer be used, it has been well documented that the only reason that those were allowed was that they would be removed once an official version was implemented. As for why ANet chose to make them in the fashion that they have, well that's a business decision. But, I'd rather not derail the thread arguing this point again as there are plenty of other posts about templates where this has been covered ad nauseam.
  3. So.... you were able to play just fine before templates and now? If they are cost prohibitive, then don't buy or use them. Go back to the way you were playing before templates were released.
  4. I'm not sure that it is a wise use of resources to make two versions of items.
  5. There's no reason that they'd have to go all one way or the other. I'd like them to rework the backpacks for gliders that can be dyed and only those ones while producing new ones. Maybe update one old one for every new one they add to the store. I understand your proposed scenario, but that doesn't answer my question. My question was, given limited resources (as we don't know how many people are on the team that works on these), would you like for them to focus on working on the old things or move forward with creating new ones? That's a false dilemma. In reality it's not a matter of them only being able to do one or the other, they could do both. Produce fewer new ones while also reworking the limited number of glider backpacks already in the game. It's a hypothetical.

  7. why say no to something that could be entirely optional therefor not affect you in the slightest? Because it would go against established lore.
  8. I doubt that the team that would deal with this was part of what got laid off, but you seem to know a lot more about GW2 and their teams than I as well as the resources and time management that would go into making this change.
  9. Because people refuse to use the forums search function.
  10. Wiki shows this, but I don't know how official that is at this early date.... Wintersday 2019 (2019-12-17 — 2020-01-07)
  11. Two things that go against forum rules. Not a good idea. I get your passion. I believe that ANet is more than aware of the call for Cantha over the past few years.

  13. Might want to place your suggestion in the stickied request thread https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/348/gemstore-requests-new-items-items-offered-again
  14. You may be right, but perhaps there is a competitive advantage for players on console versus players on a PC which might keep GW2 from going this route?
  15. Please use the forums search feature as this has been discussed in previous threads https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/91596/merged-guild-wars-2-is-coming-to-consoles
  16. I like the existing ones. They're supposed to be hideous and gruesome. Some of the skin suggestions in this thread are kinda neat, though.
  17. Please use the forums search function to find the many threads about Cantha.
  18. It sure does ... As long as it's not completely unattended, multiboxing is allowed
  19. Personally, I hate SAB and all that it entails. As long as it remains as it is (even if additions are made to it) where I don't have to interact with it, then I really don't care unless resources that would benefit content for a larger majority of players is taken away to cater to this. It's ANet's call, though and we got mounts and capes when there were many who didn't want them.
  20. Yeah, then that's a hard pass for me. Last thing I want is to be constantly harassed by a player or group of players who find doing such amusing.
  21. I totally get that, but then Strike Missions, Raids and other such content might not be for you, and that's 100% okay. Just don't ask to have the challenge taken away from others, that's all. :)I completely agree here. And you're right: SM, Raids and Fractals are definitely content that I don't enter. Where I have an issue is with the calls to change the difficulty for other content in the game.
