Season 5 is confirmed and will start in about 3-ish months (they said "after season 4"). We will get more info about future plans during the next season. These "GW2 is dying" threads are hilarious and pathetic at the same time. :dizzy:

Yes, this is not fun and many angry people in the forum and on reddit are bad for the game's damaged reputation. I have friends and guildies who went on a hiatus after the layoff drama, they just saw the unhappy posts about the new mount and decided to stay away from the game despite me desperately trying to convince them to come back... :astonished: This situation is not helping GW2 at all.

This. I just do not understand the obsession with a new race. The new body shapes would end up with tons of clipping issues just like Charr and people would cry.

I totally agree! I can actually solo MOST HoT HPs with my Firebrand but I play the MMO genre because I really enjoy joining a squad and do it with others, that's a lot more fun than the borefest PoF ones. If I wanted to solo, I'd play single-player games.

I don't want capes at all. My back items and weapons already have plenty of clipping issues, imagine adding a cape to that mess... shuddersHowever, Anet can add capes if they want but I would never use them, I guarantee that.

Yes, I've done it on 6 characters. I enjoy it because it's fun and relaxing (plus I get some extra Keys which is nice).There's one thing I dislike though, when they lock PoIs and other map completion stuff behind meta events. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of open world but when I want to explore a map I don't wanna interrupt the journey by waiting for a meta to start... It ruins the pace.

I don't like the idea of people running around in a bra (or completely topless).

When people spam Tomes near bank (I also hate the flashing light that comes from it). And Queen Bee infusion, especially when people stack them... I don't know if it was nerfed or not, I've been playing with sound off for months because I prefer listening to metal while gaming.

And then there's me, I just couldn't get into GW1. I tried so hard to like it for months but it was too instanced and the story missions were too hard (or I was just bad lol) so these things made me frustrated. But then GW2 was released, I fell in love with it and I've been playing it since beta, 10k+ hours.

Hm, I don't care much about names tbh. All of my characters are Sylvari and I have names like Cheery Cherry, Lunar Leaf, Golden Garden and so on, haha. :lol:

Any news on this? TP is still painfully slow. :(

? I never said I was a better player. What I'm saying is that meta builds are not actually required to finish game content smoothly but some people act like that's the only way to play and judge players with dps meters. Just because a non-meta player's dps is lower than "meta numbers" that does not mean a player is not useful or wipes all the time. Having lower dps should not be a reason to kick a player out of a group as long as they do their best and still finish the content without issues, but maybe that's just my unpopular opinion. And therefore this is not offtopic, dps meters exist because of the meta obsession, these things are related.

If you find endless wipes fun then that's good for you. On the other hand, I'm positive lots of players prefer smooth runs. Using non-meta builds does not mean endless wipes, runs can be still smooth if you know what you're doing. I've been playing GW2 since beta, I did try meta builds in the past but they were really uncomfortable for my liking. I'm a thousand times more effective when I play the way I want because I'm familiar with my own builds. There are many viable builds but people only see the meta, they consider everything else garbage and this is one of the main problems with player mentality in MMOs these days.

I totally agree! I started playing MMORPGs 16 years ago and this obsession with damage and perfect rotations is sad. Back in my day we grouped up with ANYONE. No one cared about gear, build and damage. We had fun and that's what matters in a video game. Nowadays if your gear is not perfect, if you make one little mistake in your rotation or if your damage is lower than expected, people start cursing and kick you out of the group instead of encouraging you to get better. :astonished: This is wrong! It's the reason why I stick with open world PvE events, it's relaxed and fun, it still feels like a video game instead of a job where you have to live up to other people's expectations. Instanced group content died for me a long ago because of this angry player mentality.

My story is not too detailed but my main Sylvari Celestial Firebrand went through so much kitten and has become so powerful that she's not even a plant anymore, she has transformed into magic and stars and supernatural things - hence my Celestial Blue infusion (skin) and "Ascended Spirit" title. :D So it's more like "story of my fashion wars" haha!

It sounds like this game is not for you. And then there's me, I've been playing since beta, can't stop and can't play other MMOs anymore because they are all horrible compared to GW2. See, people are different. Go find YOUR game.

Please bring back Mask of the Silent and Mask of the Wanderer skins to Gem Store, I haven't seen them in FOREVER and I've been waiting for so many months, it seems like these items were completely forgotten. :(

No change after patch, I just recorded this, about half of the sells have lag issues. Selling stuff takes forever these days. I don't have ping issues, gameplay is smooth but the trading post is really slow. :(

Beta player, got 2 prec drops: Colossus when Engi turret farm was a thing in Lake Doric and Dawn from a champ during Palawadan event.
