  1. Did anyone else see Silent Scope mentioned in Patch notes? The Trait 2 on Deadeye used to give 4 second's of stealth, now its reduced to 1 second which doesn't give you a chance to escape, but mesmers, they stealth for longer periods, trap rangers stealth along with their longbow trait, so deadeye, is now like a dead duck, you cant outrun 1500 range invisible ranger, even with speed now increased. its clunky at best, and you get chased down easily by any profession. I thought thief was exactly that, invis surprise attacks, and I am not talking perma stealth, just good one on one fighting, already died a few times to 6 clone mesmers.
  2. So after the new skills for new professions, I notice that the game has moved from a combat game to push, pull, float and every kind of everything other than combat. I understand these builds help new players, but the fun factor of having to use some brain capacity to who can float, push pull you into 20 circles of AOE has gone, never to return. I try run daredevil and Elie, given up on some of the others builds already and when I look at combat log, I get hit with trail of knives over and over (doesn't seem to be much cooldown), coalescence of ruin, or hammer rev, 8k damage. Some of the damage has been toned down yet 3k 4k 8k, on my log report, and using my best damage skill, can only get a quarter of some of those reports. AOE goes through and beyond the wall with NO LINE OF SIGHT, and personally, after playing for 10 years, I think this is the absolute worst state I have played in. This is my observation only, so dont jump on me, but the play style makes it easy for a bronze player to solo roam, while diamond players cant kill them on a build that was supposed to, huh! It would be nice to see some Devs trying to sort out game dynamics in WvW as this used to be a strong community, but sadly, numbers dwindled due to nothing been done, and hence the linking to keep the game alive. My concern is that if the Alliances are not what everyone expects as a Rose is still a Rose by any other name, then their will be a lost opportunity to retain this valuable community of WvW players.
  3. So trying to protect our keep on home bl, and on the oil using skill3 which is supposed to be giving me protection, but got pulled off by this skill that needs to be nerfed. I am tired of complaining about this, and this skill pulls you off siege and over the lip of the wall. Now every zerg is using this and put down 20 fields of aoe then pull you off siege and into insta death, you are seriously making me hate players from other servers for this exploit, as their is no counter against it. Please anet, can you take some time to fix the issues in WvW, it is the most neglected part of the game, yet Server populations are counted from this population, and you are slowly killing your own game due to the lack of input. And no, unfortunately even Alliances are going to be faced with the same issues. We welcome you to our sever to see exactly the state of the game from players perspective.

We have a player on our server, who is very vocal, and yes I can block him, but he verbally abuses his fellow players all the time, calling everyone idiots, and stupid, then while we trying to defend our keep while being double teamed, he pulls all the tactics. I have details and login name which I will not put here. He has been reported so many times, yet he is still here every single day, abusing players and Guilds, and no, we are not linked, he has been on our server a long time. Please can this be dealt with, as he is wrecking the game, and after he starts with the tactics, players leave the map from sheer frustration. Please Anet, this has gone on for long enough.

Thanks for the entertainment, coming from Deso, same thing, no link, full server, thousands of inactive accounts which should be placed in a holding server if they haven't logged in the LAST 6 MONTHS, and Anet...on holiday while we are double teamed, by double linked servers, go figure. Great creativity, see you on the battlefield, and Happy New year to Gandara players

So before we started, our server was single against 2 double servers, and during the beta, it seems the odds are stacked against us as during the previous week, like 30 man blobs against 5 of us trying to defend. So how do the other Alliance maps have double our players? Terrible system because guild populations and activity is a thumb suck, and it will always be stacked, no point really. I think the Alliance servers should have their own map so they can GvG, and stay away from the WvW maps. Unfortunately, Anet are under the impression that the WvW is healthy, when its just an AOE fest that no one can survive. Condi and Rangers seem to be the order of the day, and again, after 9 years, you have power creep and Condi damage which is insane. I personally think this game is in such a state of decline, that I just do what I need to do, and log off, fun factor is gone and one word to describe it, pointless!
  8. i completed the whole story of chapter 5 from scratch, story closed in journal, but it doesn't give me the last achievement primordus. I have reported the bug, but still the same, its listed in side stories as incomplete
  9. I log on, play for 3-5 minutes then DC, this has gone on since the initial patch from 26-10-2021. The game is unplayable, and cannot complete anything, be it in LA, Any map, or any WvW map
  10. Entangle holding someone for 8-10 seconds is intended design. If it didn't work correctly, that would be a bug...but it seems to be working great? Its actually Damage 4 x 508 Bleeding 8 and 3/4 seconds bleeding 968 damage Immobilize 2 and 1/2 seconds, not 8-10 so its holding down for a much longer period Unless you can break away, 8-10 seconds gives ranger an advantage that allows him to use his skill 5 or 2 to wipe you, and you cant move. And yes, it follows you if you do, even though you only proc once, needs some work imo.
  11. I have reported this on numerous posts, but seems it is overlooked and becoming increasingly frustrating. Elite skills are not good at best, but when an entangle holds you while the ranger runs around you 5 times, then its bugged. Its getting a little frustrating that this is continually ignored. Entangle holds you down approximately 8-10 seconds, please check as this is an exploit
  12. so when you look at the battle report and look at what killed you, enduring swing from a ranger that says damage 699, but he insta downs you for 7051 damage that's accurate? The devs have tried their hardest to balance the builds, but my deadeye does not do that much damage, yet secondary weapon on a ranger does almost 3 times what my primary rifle can do, I think we need another review of what the system says compared to the actual damage. The entangle from ranger also holds down for a lot longer than what it says, game has become frustrating to say the least, but these issues should have been addressed a long time ago, and I wont hold my breath with new expac coming out and everyone busy.

I am trying to do the stealth from the fountain to the chest in Obsidian Sanctum on a deadeye, but due to the change to stealth duration, I am struggling as I have every stealth skill equipped, and now its 1 second then reveal, how is this possible, its frustrating that the skills get changed, yet the request to do this has remained the same. I have spent hundreds of gold already when i could have bought the rifle for far less, but wanted the gen ii weapon, help please

The only BL that never has a queue is desert for obvious reasons, and to try defend Air and Fire near 2 spawn points on opposite ends of the map, always puts other objectives at risk, and can stretch your resources. I unfortunately landed in desert quite a few times in the last few weeks due to insane queues during EU prime time, and on most occasions, the siege of Arrow Carts, and Ballistae were on the inside near Lords room. I was also party to many fight right up the camps and towers outside the sanctuary of the walls. The problem lies a bit deeper than the system, and I dont have any answers to this problem, as its a human one rather than a gaming one, however, their are 2 things I dislike about WvW, Linking which has altered the game due to human nature through transfers, and Desert BL. I would like to see servers locked for the first week which may provide a more accurate way of determining WvW populations, but then, that purely my opinion.
  16. seems there are problems at the moment, I am running on 100Mbs Line, 7ms ping, 86Mbs and 68Mbs up and down respectively, but DRM's are a nightmare, constant DC's, and if you in a party and DC at boss, its frustrating for everyone due to time gating, and the skills I bring to the party. I tried to then focus other PVE map, and went to Dredge Commissar, logged into map 12 minutes before time, and had an instant DC, relog, DC, reset my side, relog and just hung till I got into the map and missed it. I am also running speed checks and monitoring on another device to ensure this is not my side, and everything seems clear. I have also witnessed a lot of lag in the eye of the north waiting room, and not sure if this is due to populations, as the Boss fight seems manageable even when their is 40 players in the instance. Seems something is amiss, and maybe related to the 11th May patch, as last night I DC'd in a DRM, and to save myself further embarrassment, just logged out the game.

Congratulations once again on the mismatch for EU, The same top T1 every week last round, Piken linked with Dzagonur (Ex WSR and BB mostly) gets relinked with, you guessed it WSR which has the highest population of bandwagoners. I have friends on all 3 of those servers, so nothing against the players themselves, but I am sure you are very aware of where those gems come from. (Is this really the system choosing the relinks, just asking). Reality is WvW is becoming emptier and emptier, and 5 to 10 people defending a 50 man blob pip farming PPT mentality people, where no skill required, broken builds, red circles everywhere, impossible to defend, sound like a fun game? Gandara (you really love them) no link again, BB never have had a link, and their population has also fallen. So for me, dailies, 5 to 10 mins, can mixup some pve and wvw, then, byeeeee!
  18. I dont mind the pull to the edge of the wall, but when you on the back wall manning siege, and you get pulled off the siege and over the wall, something's wrong. Unfortunately everything these days is Condi, so you pulled into 50 wells on the ground or top of the wall and cannot recover. The game has taken the route of its useless to defend, easier to attack, so when you are few people on a server against a bigger group, the attackers have the advantage, not because they bigger, its just impossible to have much affect on an AC these day so when 1 person manning siege gets pulled over, and has to run back it makes a very big difference. This is also true when you trying to save the Lord, and get pulled into the middle of the group, from across the room. I think game has taken a bad turn, every little thing has become highlighted due to the frustration of the players. Surely WvW is capture and hold against the enemy, and the defenders should get an advantage, after all, thats why castles were built to protect those inside. Seems its easier to attack, than defend, still makes no sense to me.
  19. my earliest memory is waiting for an hour for the queue to pop, all BL's full, and some great Commanders with hammer trains running through a zerg, lot of power builds which has sadly been nerfed to the point that everything now is about Condi fields. I enjoyed the old style of brute force and karma trains, and the banter from the players. When eotm was introduced, it seemed a good place to join big groups and if you got into the right instance was amazing. my first recollection of eotm, was being attacked by a zerg that had placed rams on the gate, and they were all standing on the bridge of our keep, and I then used mortar 4 and all I saw was bodies flying off to eternity, great play great fun, but sadly, the changes imo have not been positive, as every class I played (and I play them all) has been nerfed to the point that the fun factor is removed in favor of pew pew rangers with 1500 range that sit on top of walls, and necros and scourges putting down aoe so you cant get close. I dont consider these good players, just average making the best of a bad situation. Make WvW great again!

Seems that the system is in need of timely review, I see so many of the hosted servers having more activity, yet in the following MU, that does not affect the system, rather the same Host server is still the main server. I cannot understand this because some servers are locked due to populations, however, our server lost 5-7 guild over the course of the last year, but still locked and always the main server, which causes much frustration because we are clearly not full. In the end it doesn't matter how many gems you get from player transfer if players are frustrated and leave the game, and the sad reality, is one day those gems are going to dry up and you going to be left with empty servers. I know the Alliances was supposed to resolve these issues, but already in a guild of 300 players, 10-15 are active at most, the rest have not played for months and years. Please review the system for the sake of WvW, as in its current state Mains locked, and hosted servers always seem to have space for transfers. These hosted servers suddenly have the higher WvW populations. Within 5 minutes of linking, your fair linking system has been overturned and is inconsequential due to transfers.The WvW community was very active, as players took the game seriously. yet many of the Old Guard have left, and left behind a huge void that can never be replaced. What is the way forward, as I am sure the WvW community will comment with some ideas that can be looked at to resolve this huge imbalance. Any ideas Ladies and Gents as I am sure with some people still having some server pride they dont want to leave their current servers.

Ranger entangle is 5 seconds, but noticed that even if ranger has run away, then entangle is still happening after 5 seconds, seems the range of 1200 which is indicated on the elite spec, also happens when the ranger is out of 1200 max range from a rifle, please check this out as it something seems wrong with it.

I have a suggestion, stop the linkingLinking = zone blobs, and not only is this unfair to unlinked servers, but first thing that happens is bandwagoning to the hosted server which increases the number of wvw players, and immediately you have full zone blobs for 4-6 hours in prime time. How on earth can you then decipher the next linking? unlinked servers from previous MU's end up getting linked with the worst of the servers, and those top T1 get linked with T2 servers, its an unfair system, and all linking should be stopped while you do you're investigations, and that will give a more accurate idea of which individual servers need attention.

Hi ArenaNet, I am on Desolation server, and for the last 3 days have experienced the worst lag, which means I am stuttering and suddenly I am in a different place to where I started running from. I have run speed tests, checked fps and ping on my PC. I have also checked other International links, and the speed is within acceptable limits, but in WvW a short while ago, I had a 30 second freeze. I am unsure if this is server related, but at the moment, the game is unplayable, and similar to when patch is being loaded on the servers and you get that lag, its similar to that, but 3 days of the same game play.
