  1. This needs to be emphasised. Its the first real test of the funtionality. Alliances are missing at this stage except those who have formed alliances and made 1 guild for these tests. So no conclusions can be drawn yet especially not about drastic changes like lowering map caps.
  2. Since the last patch, Oct 6 or 7, my game won't start. I login in and click play, the screen turns white for a second then it just goes back to the desktop and GW2 isn't running when I check task manager. I have played the game since the Halloween patch on the 5th so its just this last update.
  3. Same here I do not remember this fight being like this when it came out. I'm finding it impossible on my scrapper. nvm finally did it
  4. How can it when servers have scores that don't reflect the actual matchup without a reset to zero now.
  5. OK now what about alliances? If its been scrapped at least give us the courtesy of letting us know.
  6. End of January as opposed to a week delay? That is unnaceptable to those of us stuck with a bad link, again you lose players over decisions like this. In previous years the delay has been a week for christmas why is this year different?
  7. Its probably been said before but why are these even a priority given the real balance issues in the game?
  8. Basically all the problems of current WvW balance are encapsulated in this post. With that being said I just want to raise another glaring issue for WvW beyond balance and the population disparities, which are I acknowledge the 2 most pressing problems with the mode. Completing the triumverate of major WvW issues is there being nothing to play for, no real reason to play the mode as designed, ie winning the matchup. I'm unsure whether this is the right thread for this but as I feel the balance problems have been succinctly summarised in the post above and by others I just wanted to raise it.
  9. Biggest problem of spvp is how stale it is with only 1 real game type, maps with slightly differing mechanics do not add the variety needed.
  10. 2 Equipment templates is not enough for characters running in multiple modes and running multiple specs. Would you consider increasing the number of free equipment templates? In my opinion it should be at least 4
  11. The increase to number of targets when combined with sand savant will make scourge even stronger in WvW. Is this what is intended?
  12. Nerf to purge gyro is unneeded with the change to antitoxin runes. The nerf to sneak gyro CD will have no effect because stealth is so strong it only needs to be on once. What is needed is anti stealth like detection pulse. Scourge and revenant damage will still be strong and needs to be nerfed with the overall nerfs to support.
  13. The problem, with scrapper cleansing is not in the skills it is in the antitoxin runes. That is what needs to be nerfed not skills. As for sneak gyro literally all that is needed is better anti stealth not further nerfs to the class. Stealth is overwhelming not just from scrapper but other classes with access to it. On firebrand, if you nerf tome of courage chapter 5 unbroken lines you should correspondingly reduce the cooldown. And on scourge you have to be told the issue is with the manifest sand shade aoe centering on the scourge as well as on the shades. That needs to be removed. Nerfing scourge damage is not needed if this change is made.
  14. It was the time to make an announcement , why rent a theatre and overhype it if you weren't going to announce everything coming.

  16. Whilst I'm in favour of the change one thing is of concern. BG being given a link this period and subsequently dominating T1 shows how badly Anet assesses populations and just ends up screwing the matches. If this continues with alliances it will be a disaster.
  17. I kind of agree although in the alliance system they could prevent it being abused by say making it prohibitively expensive to move. Its been a long time since WvW was a core pillar. I agree it should be though. They used to base it on that and it was a failure.
  18. Large open tag zergs are less because pugmanders left the game and because there are less guilds that raid openly, not because guilds destroyed it generally.
  19. We'll eventually see how players game the ability to pay to transfer but yeah all transfers in the new system should be 1800 gems, no exceptions.
  20. Its been said many many times by both players and anet themselves that seasons were the direct cause of many burning out and leaving the mode. Imbalance was less of an issue because the overall population was much larger.
  21. Which is on scrapper not core engi and so is effectively useless lock on is way stronger then detection pulse and is on core engi.You have to hit or disable an enemy and the revealed is just as long I don't see how its better.
