  1. Yeah. It would probably be best to have a drop down menu with options such as "Disable Tooltips" and "Disable Tooltips While in Combat". Although @Pan.5673, probably should also point out that this isn't a bug at all, so also probably the wrong place for such a post.
  2. I think people are going to be lost on your issue because most don't click their skills, they key bind them.
  3. So I actually had this exact same issue with my computer. The screen would just stop. All output would continue. I could still hear the game sound and people talking on Discord and what not, but all input to my pc was gone. I could not talk to people on Discord or use my mouse or keyboard or anything. I kept going through all of my logs, running stress tests, and applying every suggested fix online and nothing was working. Finally, one of my coworkers suggested I check and see if my BIOS were out of date. Turns out they were horribly out of date. So I updated my BIOS and I haven't had an issue since. Not sure if the same will work for you, but if your BIOS are out of date then it won't hurt to update them anyways.
  4. Is it taking too long with competent groups pulling decent dps and boon uptime though? When I went through at tier 3 I don't remember the fight being all that long at all, but I play with guild members.
  5. So, just so I am clear, the argument is that low dps groups with little to no boon uptime are struggling to kill the boss in a reasonable amount of time on tier 1 and 2 fractals, right? If so, then yeah I can see that being an issue and perhaps the hp should be nerfed. Tier 1 and 2 should be fairly quick and easy encounters for those that are still learning the ripes or play at a more casual level. By tier 3 though you really should be able to grasp the mechanics of boons and how to create a decent build, otherwise you are going to jump into tier 4 afterwards and grief everyone.
  6. It is more expensive because it is meant to be used to apply the buff to many players. Sounds like you were probably a bit rude in your response to them, over a situation that is 100% your own fault.
  7. Not sure if you and the others here are aware, but if you fail to do the mechanics correctly, there is a stacking debuff that causes you to deal less damage and take more damage. This could be what is causing you all to take forever to kill this guy. I've done this fight on every tier so far with both experienced and newer players, and it really doesn't feel like the boss has crazy over-the-top HP or anything.
  8. Yeah, I saw the new patch notes and it looks like we're going to be able to give protection now as well, and a barrier neef will be reverted. They are also changing the traits that were based on the number of shade you had out to instead grant the full bonus so long as you have a shade up at all. This will give us some extra free concentration and which will be good for people trying to make a condi alac build work. The biggest issue though is that you still have to spam you sand shade off cooldown to keep it up, which just feels bad. It makes no sense to even have the option to place three sand shades now when there will no longer be a buff for it and it will not be sustainable. If this is the route they want to go, I really wish they would make Sand Savant the default shade, increase the duration, and replace the Sand Savant trait entirely.
  9. Trust me and give it an actual try. It is more of a support now than just a rez bot, and it is honestly so much better because it is not such a niche pick now. I expect Scourge in general to be even better with the 18 July patch.
  10. I use Dagger/Warhorn. It is a Heal Alac build, not DPS Alac. I do about 6-7k dps on it currently. I have Staff for ranged life force. So long as the group stays together, alac uptime is fine. Alac will not fall off as soon someone steps out of your range. As for the spammy nature of it, yeah, it doesn't make sense since they said they were trying to avoid that. But Scourge does not have it as bad as other support classes when it comes to the spammy nature, because all of their utility skills are free to use as they please.
  11. With 94% boon duration, I can maintain alacrity with nothing but Manifest Sand Shade, Sand Cascade, and Sandstorm Shroud. To clarify on that a bit, that is me casting the F1, F3, and F5 off cooldown. I can maintain with just F1 and F5, but just barely. Adding in the F3 skill gives me enough alacrity uptime so that delays in my skill activation does not cause alacrity to fall off. So, I really do not know where this claim of yours is coming from, but it is completely false. I would also like to point out that along with that alacrity, I can also maintain 25 stacks of might and permanent fury and regeneration. Since utility skills are not needed to maintain alacrity, this means I can also choose to bring things such as aegis, stability, aoe stun break, short-range portal, projectile defense, crowd control, or boon removal.
  12. As far as Heal Alac Scourge goes, it does work. I am running full Harrier, Monk Runes, and a Concentration Sigil. With one shade up (because that is all you will have most of the time) that puts me at 94% Boon Duration. With that, I can maintain permanent alacrity by only casting F1, F3, and traited F5 off cooldown. That means I can pick whatever I want for my heal, utility, and elite skills. If you are trying to make a condi alac Scourge or a Plaguedoctor Alac Scourge, it will likely not work due to the amount of Boon Duration required. On my Heal Alac Scourge, I can maintain permanent alacrity, 25 might, fury, and regeneration. Between barriers and healing, it provides excellent sustain. As for the utility, it is pretty decent, but I do still need to test out how useful the revives are now. Other than that, though, it only really lacks reflects. It has options for stability, projectile defense, aegis, massive condi cleanse, boon rip, short-range portal, aoe stun break, and crowd control. Since your utility slots are free, you can choose what you need for the encounter. So overall, Anet needs to fix Scourge, but Heal Scourge is doing all right. Edit: For the people who need clarification or disagree with this, I would love to hear what you do not agree with or understand. To be clear, DPS Scourge is horrible right now and the Shade CD changes make no sense when they could have simply tacked the Alacrity on to Sand Savant. My point was in response to the OP's remark and how only having 1 second of Alacrity proc from the trait helps. I understand most people are in a negative mind set right now, but Heal Alac Scourge is actually good right now. Follow-up: Ah, I see now. Some people just want to be negative and whine over something they haven't even tried. 🤣
  13. So number 1 doesn't make sense because, again, it wasn't a grind, it was an enjoyable experience. If it in fact was a grind, then why subject new players to that for no reason. As for reason 2, I can see that being a small issue, but not enough to actually be so opposed to this as to think this is some horrible move and the people that wanted it are "whiners". People still have to go there and farm the heck out of Season 4 to get Vision, and there are people who still need to complete that part of the story, unlock items they want from there, or doing the dailies from there when it pops up. I just don't see providing an alternate path to Skyscale destroying participation in LWS4. I mean, we don't know what the new acquisition method is but also, this is not even remotely an issue.
  14. Thanks. I was wondering what was different and was hoping they made some changes to the patch for Scourge before releasing it since they said they were taking our feedback into account. Now that I see the changes, it looks like Anet threw out some crazy ideas, the players complained and suggested some of this was a bad idea, and so Anet took that feedback to heart and came at the players with even more Scourge nerfs. 🤣 I just want to say, it blew my mind watching the stream and they were explaining how having 3 shades up providing Alac would lead to issues and that was how they justified nerfing shade duration. It was as if the completely forgot that Sand Savant existed. As of testing these new changes today, my mind is further blown away because, although the sand shades have a 180 radius, the barrier from F1 and F5 are 300 radius, which happens to be the radius of a Sand Savant shade. I just cannot understand why they didn't just tack the Alacrity trait onto Sand Savant. Currently, you cannot maintain more than 1 shade consistently no matter what trait you take. So I can only assume that Anet will make the Sand Savant shade baseline and replace that trait (without the recharge increase), or give us back the ability to maintain 3 shades.
  15. I guess I'm a bit confused here. Why is this a bad thing? From what they have said, it isn't a free mount, it is an alternative path to obtain the Skyscale. Also, players will still have to go back and complete the PoF Skyscale Masteries to unlock all the masteries for the mount. I thought maybe at first you were just upset because you felt like you put in a lot of work to get the mount and now others will easily obtain it, which would diminish the value of you having the Skyscale. But it can't be that, because you've stated that you enjoyed every minute of it and in no way was it a grind. So what is it that makes this such a bad thing? 🤔
  16. Hey Anet, make this a feature for one of these new expansions.
  17. I think the point of Vindicator healer is that it is a PvP healer. I don't think it was ever meant to be a PvE healer, and that is fine really.
  18. So, I realize I do not speak for everyone. But, I just feel like if you gave us a decent spectator mode when we die in PvE content such as Raids, Strikes, and Fractals, we could learn a lot more than we currently do just staring at our dead bodies. If you want to introduce more people to complicated group content, you have to give us a decent spectator mode.
  19. Are you trolling us? Don't get me wrong, cd reduction being baseline is kind of nice. But you said you wanted to make shouts stronger in melee range. For the most part, you made them do what they already currently do but limited it to melee range only. I mean, if anything, all you did was nerf Reaper Shouts that hit targets outside of melee range. This is a joke right? Edit: After looking further into the changes, I may have jumped to conclusions and read this wrong. It appears the only shout that is losing functionality outside of melee range is "Nothing Can Save You!". It appears that all of the cooldowns have been set at the cooldown the skill would of had if you took the trait and hit two enemies. So this is only a nerf for your build if you are taking the trait currently and always hitting 3+ enemies. I will say though, this leaves the Augury of Death trait in shambles. I mean, the only thing it will do now is add a bit of health siphon to shouts. Now, both Augury of Death and Relentless Pursuit feel kind of week compared to Chilling Nova. It would be nice to see some better options for Reaper Adept traits in the future.
  20. Yeah......if you can't tell the difference then there is no point carrying on a conversation.
  21. Well that part is based on speculation and not actual facts, and thus up for debate. But given the community in question here, that is why I gave up on that long ago and instead advocate for a solo queue with increased oversight and moderation from Anet. That is highly unlikely to happen as well though.
  22. The difference with using lfg vs Anet picking your teammates is that you have more control over who you team up with. If you play a match with some rando from lfg, are you going to play with them again or are you going to block them and never let them join you again? Now what happens when everyone gets tired of this afk player and does the same? In the current system though, that afk player will be forced onto teams with others by Anet all day every day with extremely slim to none chance of ever facing any reprisal for their actions. That is why the solo queue system fosters this kind of behavior. So either use the lfg system and allow players to police up their own groups, or introduce increased moderation into solo queue to stop people from abusing the system.
  23. I could care less whether you know me or not my dude. I play on NA. I am not telling a lie. I prefaced everything I said with the statement that it was my personal experience and did not claim that their own experiences were invalid or untrue. You do not speak for everyone, you sure as hell don't speak for me. If you want to argue your point, have at it. But when you start calling people liars and throwing a fit over someone that isn't even arguing against your point, then you only hurt your own credibility. Edit: I will say this though it probably doesn't matter if the issue has been going on for years. I have been absent for the past 10 months or so since I just came back from a deployment. Also, in my first post you commented on, you seemed to misunderstand my comment about how long ATs have been around. That was in reference to having played the game for 10 years as well but it not being as relevant to the particular topic since ATs have not been around for all 10 years. You seemed to take that as me saying that ATs are some super new thing and went off the handle about that too.
  24. Look, you can huff and puff and throw a tantrum all you want, but it doesn't change the fact of my personal experiences. I am someone who actually plays ATs, and I do not agree with you. I am not saying it does not happen, I am saying I have not experienced it. My statements are not false. If that upsets you, then whatever, I could care less man. But honestly, when people go on rants like that, it really takes value away from anything you have to say.
