  1. Why do the skill icons look like Willbender and Harbinger? There's little to no distinction. Rev normally has a grey-ish blue background, so shouldnt the Vindicator also share the same color palette all the other Rev skills?
  2. NGL, i find myself wanting to switch classes with some characters without having to delete a lvl 80. Like, i have an ele human that i kind of want to make into a mesmer sort of class switch.
  3. GW2 isn't allowing me to take screenshots; it says the folder is full. However, the folder is capable of reaching 999 screenshots from what I know, and I've never reached that limit. Not only that, I just moved all the screenshots to a different folder and the original one is empty. What do I do?
  4. But, my norn fantasies require this beauty https://i.imgur.com/0LySlP6.jpg
  5. I think there should be another way to get the Shimmering and Tenebrous Weapons. I find myself needing/wanting the Shimmering set but none of my guilds, or even the guilds I see advertised, use the Lost Precipice Guild Hall where Shimmering Crystals are acquired. It's kind of annoying to have a weapon set locked behind a specific guild hall when most people ever only use the Gilded Hollow and all you get there are the Tenebrous crystals.
  6. soooo there is a branded crystal infusion, ember infusion, but why no awakened infusion? that would be cool

  8. I suppose. I don't work in the field, so I'll have to take your word for it. However, I can't say I have high hopes for the game if interesting plots are axed or shoved aside cause they either don't want to deal with it, want to move on to the next project, or whatever may arise. I mean, the concept they presented when announcing IBS was interesting, but they didn't really have anything to show for it other than vague concepts and "here is some merch to buy". What they promised was not what they presented. That alone is unfortunate and sad. Who is to say EoD, when they announce whatever they feel like announcing three months from now (whether it be more vague concepts and more merch adverts, or actual plans and features in a massive info dump), wont suffer from the same travesty?
  9. If the devs were really frustrated with dropping their work on IBS to be forced to work on EoD, in what sounds like rushed decision and short time to even start writing EoD, then that seems like EoD will suffer just like previous expansions, if not worse than HoT and PoF. Honestly, if EoD fails because of this, then... well, IDK what to say....
  10. I hear it's been something a lot of people wanted, but if that's so then why hasnt ANet done anything? Unless it's because there is no backlash like mounts loot boxes and stuff
  11. It was a mistake on my part because I couldn't remember how many weapons there were, but my point still stands regardless since there still aren't enough packages to complete the full weapon set.
  12. Why can't we get the weapon crates from the appearance packages outside of the packages like the outfits or other skins? Jora's Appearance package came out and I love the weapon skins, but I don't think you'll be releasing 12 appearance packages so people can get all the skins. After all, only 8 appearance packages were released for the Onyx and Gold Lion weapons and there are 12 weapon skins. Now we're getting a new set? Why can't we buy the crate separate like Jora's cape and outfit if people only want the weapon skin?
  13. I thought the whispers were supposed to be more forceful in the western half of the map... I didn't hear a peep, or is it just forceful to Crecia and Rytlock? Like, I heard nothing before completing the story and afterward, well NPCs still hear the voice. The story felt short, was getting really into it but then it ended. Getting a fishing rod as a skin felt like a joke as if to say "We can't add new content like fishing, so here's a skin instead." Loved Aurene, but missed opportunity to update the Hall of Monuments if we're going back there for Visions of the Past (which I believe will replace Fractals). T3 Boreal weapons requiring the T2 forms that everyone already salvaged wasn't great, and I don't see how ANet didn't think that would be a problem when they didn't announce a T3 version sooner... Good music as always, but I'm still not seeing the expansion level content we were promised.
  14. To be completely honest, I find it insane that you have to do all achievements in a chapter to obtain an emote. Other chapter masteries dont require you to do all achievements to get the mastery reward. For example, to get mastery for the Whisper in the Dark, you just need 20 achievements completed and you get a Boneskinner backpack. For Bound by Blood and Shadow in the Ice, you need to complete all 37 or 57 achievements to obtain an emote. If they really want an emote as a reward, then do it for the completion of the story chapter not story achievements.
  15. I sincerely think it is a missed opportunity for sure, especially since the Hall of Monuments is instanced.
  16. she* She's obviously trying to toy with us, and since she can manipulate minds, there is nothing she can't at least try. If it works remains the be seen. In other fantasy games, we would describe this as some sort of "dragon magic". We will see whether the Commander will be able to maintain a clear head. Jormag, like all Dragons is neither he or she as confirmed by the devs.Incorrect. Isn't Vlast a male? Glint a female? Aurene a female? Kralkatorrik is a male. Of course, those were all biological, whereas Jormag seems to be the foot in the door for "gender identity" in terms of societal standards. Never before have we thought about how the Elder Dragons "identified", which is still a stupid concept to throw at dragons that have existed for centuries and dont give a damn about the world or its inhabitants, until that ludicrous magazine popped up where Gorrik asked about what Zhaitan and Mordremoth "identified" as BEFORE we killed them. Jormag has been the only Elder Dragon confirmed to fit the label of "non-binary."
  17. Elite specs ? Who need it? Only 5 hypers who don't try existing all 18 specs? Why we should worry about it? For people who play the current count of elite spec is more than enought. I close ALL achivment exept very strange collection (magic uselees mask coast 10k gold each, for collection you need 3). So exept strange collection I like it. IF you talk about that mistake in collection I think they add accbound item in pvp/wvw track, so relax and get fun. Sorry, but I can't understand what you're saying at all. It also seems like you didn't understand what I was saying or didn't really read my post and just cherry-picked single words. A lot of players don't need new elite specs, we want them to provide new combat experiences. The mistake I was referring to clearly was ANet's mistake for releasing the trailer for the prologue the same day as the patch. Nobody cared about the trailer. As for the other stuff, I can't understand what you're trying to say. Sorry.
  18. That's a terrible reason, honestly. Why watch a trailer when you can just play the patch instead?
  19. Now that the trailer has dropped, I'm a bit more hyped than when I started this thread. I'm surprised that they actually released the trailer a week before launch, but now that we have it... I have so many questions concerning the lore/story now.
  20. So, eight days left... We only know that Raven is the new mastery line but don't know what it does. We know the Boneskinner will more than likely be in the episode. What does it do? What sort of content is ANet hoping to release with the saga to generate hype that makes it so different than a season? It's the same formula. Same format. The announcement didn't really reveal anything, and though I was hyped at first, I find myself questioning the direction of the game along with my friends. Many of my friends believe GW2 will be dead by the end of 2020 because this Saga isn't really any different than a Season. What is ANet planning? What do they want to experiment with that they couldn't experiment with before? What's the plan after the Saga? Expansion? Elite Specs? Is the Whisper in the Dark going to be released the same day as launch? We all know that was a mistake. ANet says that they're more for communication now, but what exactly are we supposed to expect? Friends think that Episode 1 will make or break the game and determine whether GW2 will survive. If it's just another Season episode with no fractal, no raid, nothing really new except another story chapter and a mastery line we have no idea what it does... then maybe... I just don't know what to think anymore.
  21. I dont want the trailer to be released the day of the release. So... will it be released sooner? Considering it's two weeks away and we got a release date now instead of like a month before.... idk what to think... What is there to be excited for? A boneskinner? What else?
  22. "Diversity is important in any game..." True, but this isn't how it should be done. Humanizing dragons, the very dragons we've been killing up till now, for the sake of inclusivity is just plain weird. Why not introduce a new character or a character that exist but we know so little about and call them non-binary? Get to know the character, have them as part of our little guild? Why do we care about Jormag's "gender identity"? Why should we care about Mordremoth or Zhaitan? They're dead. Why does it have to be a focus at all? It didn't need to be mentioned at all, but it has been. Minority representation is great and all, but if that's your selling point of a character, the only redeeming or highlighted quality in them, then it's a flat character. Kas and Jory feel flat and boring. When they're apart, they don't feel like they offer anything of substance to the story and when they are together, that's what the devs want to focus on (their love/feelings for each other) as if we need reminding that they're lesbians. They've been absent since the end of PoF, barely mentioned other than they're helping out people after Kralk's move and that didn't even feel needed. Like just shoved in the story to show "Hey they still exist!!! Just not here!" If you're up for diversity, but not diverse opinions regarding a subject, then are you even really for diversity and inclusion? Point is if you start a topic but then tell people don't post if you don't agree, why bother posting on an open forum? Elder dragons aren't people. They are sentient, yes, but they aren't people. Why do we suddenly have to feel a connection to this being we might have to kill off in the future? Why bother when we already tried killing it or when an ally tried killing it? Honestly, I'd have more appreciation if ANet introduced a new character to join our guild that fit this gender-identity role so long as that wasn't what they focused on every time we saw the character.
  23. If they said that, where is it mentioned? I don't remember reading it, but if you could provide a link it would be extremely helpful
  24. True, but instead of leaving it vague, they should have elaborated or reassured the community that they would still be developing raid content. Likewise, fractals were also ignored. During the announcement, there was a misleading notion that the prologue would be free, but failed to mention if the other episodes would be free like they've been. Of course, this information was elaborated and explained in the blog post, but once again failed to mention raids or reassure the community. If any dev could reassure the community now that raids will still be happening during the Saga, that would be great for a lot of people. So the missing information feels... needed. There was also nothing pertaining to if Strikes will unlock raid content, open the door to a new raid, offer raid masteries. It's this sort of information ANet can't really be vague on but have done so for some weird reason. Surprise? Who knows... I'm interested in the idea of Strikes, but I'm also hoping they won't be similar Raids in terms of people having to wear a certain build or bring a certain class. That's what they're trying to avoid right? The toxicity in Raids will continue to exist, and maybe even grow when Build Templates releases if PUGs are required to share their build, but that's an entirely different topic that I don't want to touch. That being said, I think ANet is right that the level of difficulty and complexity steers people from raids first before the toxicity mentioned previously. I'm getting off track though. If any dev that sees this can just... I don't know... Reassure us, or rather the community, that Raids are still going to be created in the future, that would be great. I don't even care if no date or window is mentioned when the next raid is happening; I just want to know if new raids will be made.
  25. They never mentioned Raids, only that Strikes are lead-ins to Raids. It should be important to note that I don't raid anymore and that when I did, I didn't raid much. But this seems to be a concern for raiders, especially to those that want more than one or two raids a year. So... Are raids gone for good?
