  1. Personally I like the attack speed on hammer, it makes it feel like a heavy weapon. I just wish damage matched. It does have great burst potential, which screams Guardian.
  2. As we can see from the last upteenth patches ... Guardian isn't really 'moving' around on the big changes; Anet has indicated many times that the position Guardian has is a good place I would love for a Dev to explain by what metrics the Guardian is in a good spot. When they say that are they talking within the class or compared to others? I don't mind the answer, but if Guardian has been in a good spot for so long why can't they get the other classes there? From my point of view Guardian is fun, but falling behind other classes. Longbow is just one of piece of evidence of this. Another being their trait lines. Just about every core or Specialization has received more love, for better or worse, then Guardian at this point.
  3. What suggestions do you have?The most obvious is knockback standard on skill 3.I don't see a problem with skill 4Skill 5 could be faster with either more damage or keep the chance to trap with either standard or traited boon strip (anti-stability)

DH and FB there is more reason to use them, but when I play core I kind of forget about them because their passive abilities do more for me in the long run. Any skill that is better if you don't use it is, in my opinion, a boring design.
  5. You forgot that #2 skill roots us, but ranger can move and rapid fire.
  6. I agree with the statements that DH feels everywhere. It has good themes it tries to be a power build, control build, and if I remember it was originally going to be a Condi build (traps would bleed). It needs to pick one and run with it really well. I vote control, and given the already good amount of cripple, a soft control spec.Though if we got knockbacks, knock downs, even just daze again I would okay with that too and keeping its power level where it is at or even lowering it.
  7. Off-hand dagger would be cool to see with a condition emphasis.
  8. I am not sure core guardian slowly being tweaked for what. It is pretty much dead in every possible way, in every game mode. If that was Anet objective, success?! As for DH, There are so many other threads with loads of suggestions. Anet either does care or too ignorant to understand. So why bother? If you do not want to play FB in PvP, just play another class. Cause it is something to do, and the millionth time is the charm.
  9. A DH update is going to happen, eventually. Firebrand can play a few different support roles in PvP, WvW, and raids/fractals. Core Guardian is slowly being tweaked. Dragonhunter is falling behind all other specializations which is why the patch after Tuesday, I hope DH will be a focus. What would you want DH to look like? My most basic request would to make bow 3 have knock back standard. A more out there request would be to change bow 5 to cripple, and not trap. Overall, I would love to see DH be more about using traps, longbow, and traits to provide control options like cripple, slow, daze, knockbacks, and pulls.

The problem with the virtues is that their passive is just better than there active (Guardian signet's are the same).If they were to get a rework I would want to see a bigger bang or more impactful bang for activation. This could be increased radius, affect 10 people, or a more powerful effect. Either way right now on Core Guardian there really isn't a point in activating virtues.This could also be solved with traits that promote virtue usage.
  11. I can certainly agree Guardian has been pushed toward burst damage, but it often feels like an unfinished identity. I would like to see an update/rework of the block skills and establish core Guardian as support.
  12. As outlandish as my thread is which I fully admit as I did it for fun. The real goal was to create an identity for core Guardian which I feel is lacking in the trait arrangements, and I feel most of the people posting agree with that statement.Guardian does have more thematic design room then it's current iteration shows.
  13. I would love to hear devs current philosophy of design for classes. Specifically Guardian.
  14. I could live with off-hand warhorn. I would want it the specialization to be a very focused healing/support specialization though.I've been thinking a lot that I wouldn't mind seeing rifle, but not sure how that would fit thematically.
