  1. No, it doesn't. The "not totally skimpy" female armor sets and outfits are extremely limited, and even those sport high heels and/or naked hips/ribs/back/shoulders/thighs or enhance your boobs' size. Not cool. why does this trigger/offend you?
  2. You, sir, are a good judge. There's a history here. Let me regale you all with tales from eons past. A year ago, somebody made the thread "Best Looking Medium Armor." In this thread, I threw my hat into the mix with my Deadeye (now Holosmith) and her outfit. I happen to quite like it, considering how expensive it was to make. But, immediately following this, you see the OP didn't take kindly to this post. As usual, I did what I always do, and stubbornly defended my choices with raw, masculine heterosexuality. This rubbed some people the wrong way, but after some banter my natural awe won people over. That or they just gave up. Except for the OP, though. You're probably wondering "why does this even matter?" Well, that thread was recently resurrected from the dead. And with it, the sleeping dogs did not let lie. After a piece of lettuce tried to kill me, I come to find a bunch of notifications. The argument had started up again, except the ideological tide has shifted. Instead of several people exchanging with me, several people are exchanging with Ashantara instead. As debate just entrenches people, the end result of the aforementioned three-way rebuking was this thread. Exaggerated, and out of touch with the game, written more as a declaration than an actual idea or discussion. Whether this has anything to do with the previous Red Sonja thread is anyone's guess. But look on the bright side. I had completely forgotten that I wrote this little diddy and had a good laugh upon reading it again. The OP has called me selfish for a comment I made of not wanting the Zephyrite's Festival of the Four Winds to return for fear of the experience provided in the original release being drastically altered in a new form due to incorporating changes made to the game since the festival's original release. (As a note, I do feel that the re-release that occurred after I made this comment was every bit as bad as I feared.) That's a very selfish attitude towards those who did not get to enjoy it. I sincerely hope it will return some day. I will take their own comment and say it back to them with the text altered to reflect the topic of the thread they created here: Had they worded their request as being for them to release even more non-skimpy options than there currently are, that would be a fine request for them to make and one I would support. However, they did not word it that way and instead made a plea for them to stop making skimpy armor entirely as revealing armor is against their opinion of what all female adventurers in GW2 should "properly" wear in order to not appear as what they consider "princesses or seductresses". So:no, I do not support their request for ending the practice of creating any more skimpy armor or high heel armor appearances.had it been their request, yes, I would support a request for even more non-skimpy and high heel options being created than there currently are. I wonder - as they did not provide any examples of what they consider as being "skimpy", would this character not be a "proper female adventurer" due to having armor that exposes some 'skin' on the thighs and décolletage, as well as wearing boots with a little bit of heel on them? I do not feel that it is 'skimpy', let alone an improper female adventurer's appearance that is better suited for a princess or seductress.Sylvari don't have "skin"
  3. This person managed to find a good diverse woth mix n match https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/61843/the-tempests-new-clothes-lots-of-pics#
  4. And nothing to do with "skilled stealth campers" right?
  5. I want a mankini for my big fat male norn with a duck bubble bag around his waste and pink flip flops. P.s stop with the utter nonsense with the above posts about sexualising/objectiving ect ECT. It's a forum about clothing (or lack there off)
  6. nah, they are often saved by IF and thern DS away.
  7. Nah man, this is different. 2 vault spammers in a guild grp/zerg and they can nuke people too.
  8. This is the problem that @"SpellOfIniquity.1780" pointed out. Blanket statements and misunderstanding. It's not mobility, blinds, and a ton of evades, and then DE adding long range. It's mobility, blinds, more evades at the cost of no stability, blocks, low hp, low sustain and then DE TRADING that for long range and high stealth. And it's range isn't even that long most of the time due to being the buggiest of ranged projectiles, and not in favor of the DE. Very often I will cast Death's Judgement, a supposed 1500 range ability, when my enemy is within 1000 units of me and I will get an "out of range" message. Something you don't see on Rangers "1500" range... I've started clipping these frustrating moments in hopes to make a montage of "Out of Range but not really" clips. Here's one from yesterday, though I clipped it a little too early, you'd have to pause it at the end so youtube doesn't cycle. This is more to do with bullet projectiles vs arc arrows. I get "obstructed" using head shot at point blank range.
  9. His build is a high risk build which requires a lot of mobility and stealth. His condition cleansing comes from Jaunt (remove one condition per jaunt), also, I would assume he's using renewing oasis a trait which helps mitigate conditions by reducing condition duration and provides him regeneration every time he using mirage cloak. Only flaw with with the use of this trait is that if a "good condition" thief was stacking a ton of poison he would have something to worry about as this trait doesn't affect poison but with the use of jaunt this is hardship that can be over come. I don't think you can call a build high risk with the above comment. Even going full beserker stats.
  10. I played thief the whole weekend. Marauder gear, berserker/assassin trinkets. And I did exactly that with a d/d build. For five to six kills I did one time. The skill cap for this is between making coffee and sitting down in a chair if you can read your skill description and are not hunted by a larger group. Yes, mesmer is stupid at this too, but we talk thieves here. Feel free to post this into a mesmer thread. I seriously doubt u did. Since u believe the mobility of a deadeye is the same as daredevil. In no world is it even remotely close. That's why it's not on meta as meta builds in pvp.Actually, you could do this kinda dmg as core/daredevil thanks to assassins signet, yet another bull crap power creep buffs. Anyone 1 can pop assassin signet- steal - cnd - backstab Any of the so called 1 shot or Insta kill builds require little skill tbh and all classes can do it - if built to do so.
  11. So you basically want to go up to them and killed them very easily in 2 hits. Then it's no longer op. Maybe they should also Nerf the defense mechanic of all other professions except the one you play. Blocks for guard, shroud for necro, clones for mes etc. Then once every thing else dies from you because they have zero defense then there is balance. None of those mentioned things destroys the class. Thieves still have a by far greater toolkit for escape than other classes around and they don't have to sacrifice anything for it - they can even run full berserker gear - which no other build can.Seen warriors necros and even some revs. Rangers and holos use beserker gear then slap in some marurder to get 20k health or something. It's mostly the de that will run the 11k full beserker gear. Thievs need iniaitve to escape and rifle is pretty heavy on it too, also sword mirage and easily keep up the pace so can holo with rocket boots and rifle (more then enough time to either waste the thievs initiative or to even land killing blows on the thief)
  12. This is not a thread for the "muh challenge" crowd. Yeah, but come on dude... it's not as hard as you make it out to be. The hardest part was when it use to bug out.
  13. Sight beyond sight is air reveal on spell breaker.
  14. Wow people actually have hatered for this little rat?
  15. They do not work against any unblockable attacks. They do. Guardian's sanctuary only cannot block beam attacks, while physically destroing any projectile. Might be the same with spellbreaker's elite.I can pop baslisk venom and go thru warrior elite bubble with dancing dagger. Not tried sanctuary. Also choking gas goes thru bubble too
  16. Problem is that it's not dyeable and it also has that ridiculous coat hanger. Would like to have capes on my warriors though, like the Spartans! None of the back items are dyable, so I doubt capes would be. I personally don't need capes. I chose the skins on my toon because I liked them, so there's no point for me covering it up with a rug. But more options are always better, so sure, give the cape-ppl their capes.Oh I know about no dye on back item's - was the same on gw1, and absolutely about the back item's. In fact the first ascended item I ever crafted was quiver of a thousand arrows and the same original back item is on my thief after nearly 5 years. Just that a lot of back item's are pretty silly like, who is going to carry a wooden shelf wrack on their backs with postions inside of it.
  17. Problem is that it's not dyeable and it also has that ridiculous coat hanger. Would like to have capes on my warriors though, like the Spartans!
  18. So you're saying mesmer won't counter deadeye of any variety? Or daredevil? Never said that in the post. . .Actually I didn't bring that up at all are you ok?The only place I could see deadeye being useful right now is in mid against guardians and scourges, but since this deadeye build will still get instantly killed by the aforementioned mesmer and/or ranger and/or opposing thief, why would anyone justify the slot to bring deadeye? In the end it's still a liability to the team. I never brought up team comp either? Oh I see..You're taking my ranger comment seriously.I'll add a /s though I thought the whole popcorn comment would have been sufficient enough to realize my post was for the LOL's my bad. Why are we talking about ele now? Never said it was OP or UP..Did you read what you quoted? Regardless of your reasons your text will be used by people who want deadeye to remain uselessYeah but at least in wvw it is kinda broken. The rifle as it has it's counters and DJ can be dodged but you can do the kd and land a nice burst combo so it is fine and may be going as far as saying the dodge on stealth is "ok" but the 10% dmg buff per malice on back stab is just really stupid, with the nature of perma stealth the predictability kinda dosnt exist and there is not much you can do vs 20k+ back stab. Dunno how well this favours in spvp though.
  19. bountiful theft steals single boons and normal duration thuugh you will lose all might stacks and might for example, thief will only get 1 stack of each. LS steals what it does with what ever stacks you had + duration (not sure on healing power regen though
  20. actually its the other way around, this is not a huge issue, more of an annoyance and windows 10 is very stable. there is no issues in playing the game, the updates have not slowed down system performance at all.
