  3. I honestly want to know why OP chose wb out of all the professions/specializations running around. Surely he can't be getting aped by willbenders that regularly to warrant a thread. Right? Maybe it's just Saiyan who's been killing him over and over again.

They could make the symbol automatically drop on the target when you are in range and click the button and it would be indistinguishable from how it works at melee range now except it would actually work better at range now too (peacekeeper would make the symbol burn even if you're not in it). Imagine a ranged weapon working at range
  10. Not a comment on the validity of your suggestion, but condi firebrand on SC does use p/p and the latest condi willbender benches seem to be pointing to the use of p/p along with p/t.

  12. I love the change to repose. Makes it a great alternative to contemplation of purity in spvp albeit with less condi cleanse but with a lower cd, with that said: why does repose need two opportunities for counterplay? Repose should be instant cast so that you can't be cc'd and prevented from using it. If there is concern about counterplay, it's already cooked into the skill: you can prevent repose by ccing during flash combo since you still need to finish the animation to get repose access (you don't need to land all the hits anymore thankfully). And flash combo is quite telegraphed. The payoff from repose really isn't that big for the skill to given two opportunities to get outplayed (it's just a 2k heal with 2 condition cleanse). Pretty please, Anet, on this good Sunday, be good to me and make Repose an instant cast skill. 🙏

  14. Hello! These suggestions are purely being considered for pvp. As we know, there exists a holy matrimony between guardian mains and Renewed Focus and anet has tried their best to pry us from using it all the time by buffing other elite utilities. So here's some suggestions that nobody asked for to buff other elite skills and nerf renewed focus: 1. Renewed Focus: Remove invulnerability from renewed focus. Make it instant cast and reduce its cooldown to 50 seconds (spvp cd). Make it heal (if taking monk's focus, you get healed twice). 2. Signet of Courage: add aegis to each pulse from the active skill (self only). 3. Heaven's Palm: move the evade frames from the start of the skill to the end animation after you teleport. Make it ground targetable. Remove the requirement that an enemy be alone to be finished off from downstate. 4. Dragon's Maw: make it give barrier on skill use and trap activation, smaller barrier on the former and larger barrier on the latter (self only). I don't have suggestions for mantra of liberation and feel my wrath because I think they are fine as is. As you might have guessed from the suggested changes, the idea is to make other elite utility choices have more defensive benefits to them to compete with renewed focus. The reason is that in spvp guard is low hp and liable to get one or two shot so guards naturally gravitate to renewed focus to avoid this. As it stands Renewed focus just offers too much defensive utility to choose any other elite skill (invulnerability and virtue recharge), so I'm suggesting nerfing it to make other elite choices more competitive but also buffing it by making it instant cast, heal and have a lower cd. But the nerf needs to come with defensive buffs to other elite skills to compensate and create different gameplay choices.

  16. Pretty please? It's such a limiting design decision even if it made thematic sense. I really wish anet changed Phoenix protocol so the alacrity is given on any virtue and not just f2. They can keep the initial alacrity from f2 if they want. I just want to be able to give alac when the passive effects of f1 and f3 are triggered too. There's lots of reasons to do this: 1. Tanking on heal willbender is difficult if you have to use f2 and move off stack for mechanics or keep moving the boss around messing with dps uptime. If alac could be given on f1 and f3, it is easier for a tanking willbender to keep the boss still. 2. Using f2 for alac instead of for providing cleanses isn't good design. Heal willbender's main cleansing, blasting light fields aside, comes from absolute resolve f2. By making alac come from any virtue, f2 can be reserved for condition cleanse and the occasional regen refresh (you overcap it so hard you wouldn't have to use it off cooldown). 3. Linking battle presence and Phoenix protocol limits build choice and variety for willbender. You can't do alac condi willbender because you can't take permeating wrath. By changing Phoenix protocol so alac is shared with any virtue, you can now use condi alac willbender and also choose to take indomitable courage to share a stunbreak with allies. If there is a concern about condi alac willbender doing too much dps, just nerf alac base duration and make conceited curate provide boon duration so condi alac can't take searing pact. Alac builds already need to take holy reckoning anyway which cuts into dps from restorative virtues.
  17. They probably added the requirement that they need to be alone so it's not a guaranteed stomp. But since they didn't put the evade frames on the animation that plays after the port, that seems unnecessary since you can just cc or snipe a willbender before the elite goes off.
  18. Would make sense. I think they did this with another trait recently. What was it? Focus mastery? It gave protection during shield of wrath which made no sense since the attacks would be blocked anyway, so they put the protection after the shield expires. Your suggestion is in line with what anet has already done for other guardian traits, so I don't see why they shouldn't take your suggestion in.
  19. As you said, chronomancer's Continum split allows the mesmer to reset their f skills and it is on a 105 second cooldown (vs 90 seconds for renewed focus). But CS goes down to 89 seconds with the trait master of misdirection in the illusions traitline. Alacrity further lowers this cooldown and if the chronomancer takes Improved Alacrity, the cooldown of CS is reduced again.
  20. Instead of nerfing stealth access I really wish they would just change the visual effect of stealth to a shimmer so you can still find them if you pay enough attention to your surroundings.
  21. Tbh, I haven't really run into a warrior with staff that can't be killed in a 2v1. Are people really only just complaining about it cause you can't kill it with another bruiser or side-nodder?
