WoW has a shop, sure, and there are some things with wow I don't like. However, for the ~15 a month sub I feel you get a lot more content and items to farm. I really enjoy getting transmog sets and mounts in game, so its a lot better for me than waiting on a shop to sell a skin I want in an RNG certificate or more expensive to choose one. WoW only has a few mounts up there, and items that came with Expansions. You can also use gold to get a token to pay for your sub time too or $15 credit to the store, so a f2p option is kind of there as well if you can farm it. Overall you can get tons more by playing the game in comparison. (My Opinion) GW2 the only way is to be very good at farming gold to convert to gems and hope you can get what you want in the shop if it is up at that time, and hopefully on sale. Then if you do want to buy something, you generally have to pay $5-$10 over to get the correct amount of gems for the item. I also loathe RNG crates which is what made me leave ESO, and also don't care for the Black Lion Chest in GW2 either. I personally think such crates should be illegal, but to each their own. FFXIV is another game with sub to me gives you the best option. Tons of stuff to farm in game, and shop is very minimal in comparison to what you can get in game. I just love fashion/mounts in MMOs. Gw2 although I like the game, I feel they pressure you to the shop a little too much. Some people prefer different methods, and that's fine. I prefer sub. I gave GW2 another shot and I'll still come on occasionally, but it doesn't feel as fun for me as other sub games. Apologies on late reply, RL happened.

I enjoy guildwars 2 but I admit I went back to a sub game more. I feel like I get so much more out of sub system than f2p. I can actually achieve some really cool items without having FOMO and throwing my wallet at the shop. If you are very good at farming gold then its not too bad because you just convert that to gems and buy stuff, but that's just not as fun to me.

I was kinda excited about it when I read the news post, sounded like oh hey they're adding things. Then the full notes come out and I am taking a break.

It is honestly terrible. The part with all the platforms moving got bugged for me THREE times. It was reported long ago, but still not fixed. That and the mobs would get stuck so you couldn't hit them, could get stuck on the floor. I sent them screenshots of the bugs and everything. So just please please send a ticket about it. There was a forum post about this already but clearly they do not pay attention. The puzzle section was ok for me at least.

I love a lot of the headpieces you guys make but what prevents me from buying them is the fact you cant mix & match with outfits. Please make helmets in outfits sections have 3 toggles. Hidden, Wardrobe, & Outfit.

I think they should definitely go back to a few areas and upgrade the texture resolution, especially most stone textures. Past that I think the game is pretty nice, especially considering how long it has been out. It would be nice if they made upgrades here and there though to some models and such too, just depends how many people are on their team and what they can handle.

All I can say is I agree. I finally purchased all the living worlds I missed, but not happily. It is probably my main gripe with gw2, I think maybe 5 dollars is fair if they will price tag it, but some of them are over 1k gems and that's just silly to me, mainly because they do advertise like you will get all the content buying the expansions. Now that I have everything though I have the relief that there really isn't anything else I need to buy to enjoy the game, so I guess that's the trade of instead of a sub fee. Just do 15/mo or something for the stories and it should be fine.

Yes I did look at that, but a lot of those can be from anything.. I was trying to see if someone had more success in a certain area. Just like with butter certain mobs and bags seem to do better in certain locations. I refuse to buy them since it isn't worth the price, just hoping I can farm a few to learn recipes. I do not understand why they removed these from karma merchants.

Hi everyone, Been struggling lately on finding what drops chocolate bars? I don't want to buy it from Trading Post because the price per bar can be almost double the recipe it creates. I've tried various bandits and centaurs, I can get some butter thank goodness, but still having issues finding chocolate bars. Any help is welcome, thank you!

I just play multiple alts so I never get bored of any. I've played necro and ele the most and I still enjoy them but sometimes I just need to try other things.

That would still be a lot more friendly to me than spending gold or crafting multiple higher-tier cores, multiple chips, etc. As it is to use something on the alt you have to put it in bank then grab it from alt, or if you have enough shared storage sure, but I do not. For example I had to do a bit of grinding to get my mount boost 3. I don't want to do that on alts. Ever. But there should be a spot on the jadebot itself that holds them, then you can equip what you want on that character. Even if I had to choose each log in, that is still so much better than the way it is.

For me, it would be fishing and the Jade Bot / mount booster. Boost is really nice because I love flying on my griffon so that extra energy is awesome. Almost able to get the #3 just 400 more favors! I only wish they did better in jade bot for alts. Like they should have some kind of storage in the jade bot so you can switch between what's active, and it should be shared on all of the alts, 80 or not. First thing I've seen so alt-unfriendly.

I can agree it gets super annoying in this mmo just because the mob density can be so annoying, and sometimes even when you think you are in a safe spot, a mob comes and bonks you.

Yeah saving up the 1.3k just for my mount boost has me drained enough.

Usually, if I die it's because I took on more than I should have or afk/tab out. I do agree some maps are too insane with mob density. They need to clear some of the roads so you can at least stop and enjoy the scenery a little bit. Or I may have to jump up to handle something RL but there's no where to stop and I am stuck in combat until I can find somewhere. For me it's most problematic in any of the HoT areas.

Id like some kind of outfit with some vials/elixirs on it to kinda go with harbinger. Other than that outfits I am waiting to buy: Desmina, Noble Count/Countess, and Exemplar. I know I just missed Mist Stranger so I will have to wait a bit on that lol.

I can agree that it seems frustrating, but as you said it isn't a mount that's going to hurt not having. The main reason I want it is for my alts to clear some things a little easier. Just do a little each day and eventually, you will have it.

Yeah, loot boxes are trash. I refuse to buy keys, will only use free ones.

Just going to agree. Especially when content like the dragon mount is locked behind one of them. Basically, if I want to experience this mount I have to pay for the proper stories. This is not advertised. I have never understood them charging for content like that. The DLC + their shop should be more than enough profit.

I can agree, I am a returning player and even for me everything is overwhelming. There are definitely some QOL changes they could make to make leveling more fun and maybe incentives to keep story dungeons going. And although I love the game... I feel like they could try to lean a little less on the shop and try putting more stuff to earn in the game. AND A BARBER. There is honestly no reason to have to pay all the time to change up the appearance a little bit, this is probably one of the few MMOs I know of that tries charging for it even for very basic changes. That being said, I am still enjoying it, but it could be so so so much better!

I had a similar issue recently.. Im thinking if they havent responded to this thread in all this time, maybe people can start recording this? Also, if it was me in some of these situations Id write a ticket, point to this thread, as well as request the rewards and completion set to that character. They may make it right that way for now.
