  1. been stuck in red position for 3 weeks now. Love having +20 ques on ebg and Outnumbered on home BL.
  2. I second Untamed. Once you get used to it, you can try this http://gw2skills.net/editor/?POgAMNlVwwYUsL2JO0L3xtJsD-DWRYBhJGV7zICVVFSVRuAEyfAA-w Its a very gimmicky build, i know, but I've been having fun with it. :)
  3. the green tint is also a issue in WvW when you have to play follow the leader. Fights are hectic enough as it is without the Pin becoming lost in a sea of green tinted particle spam.
  4. We kinda did magic up a firearm, which is ok I guess. Wish they had given us off-hand pistol though for the symmetry. I'd be running Pistol/Pistol right now if they had.
  5. I dislike the swords for the same reason I dislike Necro Axe, Ranger Axe, Mesmer Greatsword, and others......using MELEE weapons as RANGED weapons is thematically just [Redacted]! I've been saying that for the past decade, too. As much as I love the gameplay of GW2, the styling has always irked me. It's like this game is being made by artists from the Capital District.
  6. I just wish Staff did the same, or similar damage in WvW as it does in PvE. I'm all for it being a hybrid dps tool, but it doesn't really make it to that level in WvW the way it does in PvE.
  7. Which is why MMO's in particular need to switch to a "stakeholder" business model, treating their player base like they do their investors. Like for instance having open accounting books so we can all see where the problem is, and decide as a community what the solution should be. Of course, keeping people in the dark is the best way to manipulate them for your own ends (like high profit margins and big CEO bonuses), so that is what these companies will keep doing.
  8. "Don't buy the Xpacs, you will get Fk'd" Has been Guild Wars core business model since the very beginning of GW1. It's not just that Xpacs add power creep, they add a piece of a power creep puzzle. A particular skill, or mechanic, that is BIS, and you need to collect all the Xpacs to have all the BIS skills, gear and mechanics. The worst part about this is in GW2, a lot of the newer profession specializations are bad from a gameplay perspective. Yes, they are OP, but in a boring face roll kind of way. So even if you have the Xpacs, you don't really want to run the new profs until your guild leader demands that you do.
  9. Yeah I know. Anet don't care. I'm just saying. Also lmao about the multiple callouts. Maybe on a tier 1 server. Go down a couple tiers and you are lucky if there is any callout at all, and half the time its fake. Speaking of bad callouts, I just missed one because there was no X on Hills and no other callouts so I figured it was fake. Minute later and whaddya know, we lost hills.
  10. Title says it all. This is making it so you have to stop, open your map, check and see if home BL garri is actually under attack, then click. Which is a real problem if garri is actually under attack since a lot of people won't make it in time having to do all that. It's also just a really sleezy thing to do in general.
  11. I really hate the Terror change. My celestial fear necro needs the extra condi damage from Lingering Curse.
  12. Sweet, my fear necro build just lost 200 condi damage because I have to choose between Terror and Lingering Curse now. Never change Anet, even when you're "buffing" Necromancer, you find a way to nerf it!
  13. In WoW maybe, but one of the central pillars of GW2 design is "No RPG Holy Trinity!" .
  14. I use the staff as my Primary weapon. Here is my build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSQAYlNw6YPMMmJW6W+vNA-zZgOjCUARMB0zA I know fear necros got nerfed in PvP but I still run one. The play style is basically like this: you have infinite LF, so just spam all scourge skills as soon as they come off CD, continually, while mixing in staff marks and a strategically placed fear field here or there. It's kind of a face roll build, which is good because when I panic I tend to just hit all the buttons and hope things work out.
