  1. Outnumbered Defensive Survival Bonus: +100 Vitality; +100 Toughness, +50% endurance regeneration [Only in team-owned territories] (Simulates fight or flight mentality, with physical fortitude by sheer will). This helps a little against spawn camp situations as well as it does vs any besieged outnumbered situation).
  2. Remove all stealth from thief on all skills/traits/weapons, but keep stealth and bonuses for thief via an f button that has a maximum of 15 seconds cloak. Example, core-thief (elite also), presses f-3 to go into stealth, and can press it again to come out of stealth between 0-15 seconds, the seconds go back up after a 3 second-wait. 15 seconds stored; I go cloak: 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, I attack from stealth, and fight and go back to stealth within 2 seconds; 10, 9, 8, I press f-3 to decloak, and remain visible more than 3 seconds; 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. I cloak and go away because I see Zerg coming, I am invisible for 15 seconds but I have a lot of mobility to go far away quickly within that time. All bonuses attacking from stealth, or stealth-related bonuses via build/trait remain and is not removed. What do you think?
  3. So they look cool with different armor and clothing etc.
  4. Vindicators be like: ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v
  5. I meant to quote the person, but I guess It doesn't count if I quote who someone quotes.. quote-ception..
  6. Hides somewhere in the corner with Mantra of Concentration >.> I may sometimes use it while doing a blitz burst with axe hehe. But I am upset with nerf to null field. I use mimic and null field while in a zerg. Some classes have dps bonus while there is no boons up on an enemy.
  7. Updates on Mirage: "I'm neither here nor there".
  8. I remember the 14k per meteor in the aoe during the time they can delete siege haha! It was a glitch/error in the coding/math whatever i think.
  9. Arcane Thievery 🙂 Your might is my might. Your stab is my stab. Your Aegis is my Aegis. Your Protection is my Protection. My cripple is your cripple. My chill is your chill. My poison is your posion. My burn is your burn. >:D I see boon builders lose HP fast and run away when they become arcaned! Example, a Spellbreaker bursted into a group while i stole his boons and he died so quick thinking he still had them >:D. --- Other than usefully using the skills at the opportune moment, might is only a problem if they land a hit. It doesn't matter how much dps you have, your damage is 0 if you cannot land a hit. I used to be afraid of booners, but remember they are on a timer! But yes it is dangerous with high might. What you really should pay attention to, is stability. That is the only boon you need to observe because booners lose momentum without stab.
  10. The closest thing to this is the mercenary spawn camps, but the problem is this: - They are not controllable with regard to when they attack and how they attack - If they encounter an enemy on the way and the enemy OOC or is out of which, the mercenaries immediately disappear and do not return enroute to camp. - Mercenaries for some reason only assault camps and not really the towers. - The dredge turret is only useful against players distracted by fighting something else, for dazing. It would be cool if there was a guild claim post in the merc camps, and they can set the coordinates/waypoint of where the next merc groups could group up at. As far as NPC armies for actual factions, that is too complicated when they have yet to perfectly balance populations with players.
  11. If Mirage will retain One Evade Then: Allow Deception Trait Option (Deception from Column One Top Selectable), to reduce recharge of all deception skills by 20%. And also: Allow Elusive Mind to cleanse three conditions opposed to 2, per evade. This adjustments allows the Mirage spec to open up the option to use the mirage teleport-utilities to occur more frequently to avoid damage by relocating out of a strike or aoe. But, If Mirage will regain the Second Evade Then: Keep 2 Conditions cleansed per Evade from Elusive Mind. and also: Reduce base vigor duration from 1.5 Seconds to 1 Second per shatter. This allows the Mirage spec to be able to tank in-place similar to previous patches but traded off the vigor regen time duration so the evade attacks are not happening to much as it did previous patches. What do you think?
  12. I do mean Dom Mid-High-High; the clone spawns after gs 2 or gs4 from the phantasms, and then shattering helps with dps as a follow up. There aremoments when their boons are down and thats when you pop them.
  13. Correct, I meant Low high Low. The all-low is engrained in my staff build lol. Ill edit it thanks.
  14. If you want something different, Go Mirage for Zerg in WvW. There is a way to play while you are in the Zerg. I know it seems absurd at the moment to Zerg with 1 Evade, but there is something to note. Split Surge, the evade attack with GreatSword + Domination Mid, High, High, while running Chaos: Low-High-Low, and Mirage: Mid-High-Mid wearing Celestial Armor, but DPS trinkets, and DPS Weapons leaning in Power/Prec/Ferocity really helps. The rest of the Zerg will help with boon strips, and you will have endurance regeneration from your F2 Shatter with bountiful disillusionment. You are basically DPS capitalizing on other friendlies softening up the target. When you hit while the enemy has no boons, you will hit hard, especially if you shatter with clones near the enemy (which they ignore sometimes while AOE's land near or on allied zerg). Utilities: Mirror Heal, Null Field, FeedBack, Blink, Mass Invisibility. You blink to catch up with zerg/break stun only. Stay in the Zerg though. Your other weapon set is going to be Sword/Sword, which is absolutely going to blow the minds of other mesmers but hear me out. This is purely for surviving, Evade on sword 2, and block on sword 4 helps. Whats the point of using torch 4 if you get hit while invisible? And using off-hand Pistol is not effective with boonballs, as well as focus, because the line for swiftness is just extra swiftness (which other classes can grant already), and the pulls can be anticipated; so emphasizing on the GS, and using the two swords for defense is the best pick for this style. Your might boons will come from yourself sometimes but a lot from the Zerg. So you will pew pew 3 beams a lot, watch those numbers pop! Escpecially with fury. Get severance on your greatsword, as will as removing boon on hit to increase effect of your weapon. Now, for helping the Zerg, but not being part of the Zerg (that is what I do), that is another playstyle. Hehe. Edit: Corrected Chaos: low low low to Low High Low
  15. Hello future Apprentices, Guards, Sentinels and/or Ellusionists! My name is Avion and I have recently started a new WvW Roam Guild called the Elusive Guard [ElSG]. All the information you need is down below. Thank you for your time! Minimum Requirements for Membership - Level 80 - Defeat Avion at least once during 1v1 trials. (5 fights to determine starting rank or disqualification). - Crystal Desert Home Server Recommended but not required: Wolf Rank PvP 1v1 Trials and Starting Rank Placement - 1/5 = Apprentice - 2/5 = Guard - 3/5 = Sentinel or Ellusionists - Equal ranks, but title depends on build style's nearest one-word description. Lieutenant Captain These officer ranks are not yet given, the first step is to acquire members. Solo and party roaming will be the first activities. After larger numbers are acquired, leadership ranks will be granted based on previous experience and/or training. Prime Minister Admin Rank only given to the most trusted, not yet given until much later. After 3 wins, there is no incentive for additional fights Candidates who have already obtained at least one win may opt to end the 1v1 trials and enter with the achieved rank unless they wish to try to gain a higher one. After five fights the trials end; 0 wins during any of the five fights results in disqualification to join guild. Applicant will have to wait to qualify for the next recruitment season. (usually a week or two later). The 1v1 Trials are used to start good relations with the guild-founder, to help build confidence in combat, provide combat practice for both the founder and candidate, and to see a glimpse of WvW fighting styles. Please note there are no trials available today, but trials may begin 9/15 and beyond. Thanks! There are no build restrictions/requirements to enter the guild, but there is a build-recommendation guide visible for guild members. Guild Brand (What is this Guild's Mission and Purpose?) - To help train and equip members with a good WvW Mindset - To improve skills in combat, and to guard one another. - To improve survival and survivability skills. - Survival: Escaping a losing fight. - Survivability: Sustaining a fight you can win. - To bond together for fun. - To create and provide Guild-Content for guild members (there is some role-playing with regards to organization), also for fun. - To build strength and be established as a respected WvW Guild (you get to experience starting from scratch if you join early). - To ease and give positive WvW experiences, converting members' from having frustrating runs, to relaxing and successful ones. - To graft in players' personal unique build styles and integrate them into the guild group for synergy. Maximum Number of Members and Leadership Organization: - The Guild's Goal is to sustain a maximum of 53 Members (Avion's Deck of 52 + himself). - The Guild is divided into 4 suits. - Each Suit has 1 Captain, 2 Lieutenants, and 10 non-officer members (13 total per suit). There is no "Commander Rank", yet rather the "Commander" is an office that is held during a WvW run with/without a visible minimap-tag. Only Captain's and Lieutenants (under supervision) are allowed to fill this role for gaining leadership experience Promotions: - Your starting rank is not permanent, promotions can be given during WvW run participation. Membership Pay Rates: - There is pay for members who participate during the Guild Founder's 3 Hour Roam Runs. - Guild Founder Runs are scheduled ahead of time. (If he is not running as frequent, it is because he is broke during that week LOL). - Extra Mystic Coins and Memories of Battle are sold to help pay for members. - Mystic Coins and Memories of Battle are also paid toward officers due to rank prestige and experience. - Because the Guild Founder's runs are scheduled and expected to be the more organized runs, paying members to help achieve that guild experience is the best way of saying thank you. 1st Hour is Pure Roaming 2nd Hour is Objective Capturing 3rd Hour is Objective Defending During each hour they can possibly mix, but when possible, we will try to have guild missions fit those hours most of the time, thematically. Non-Officer Rank Pay: Sentinels/Ellusionists: 3 Gold 33 Silver 33 Copper Per Hour (10 Gold per 3 Hours) Guards: 2 Gold 33 Silver 33 Copper Per Hour (7 Gold per 3 Hours ) Apprentice: 1 Gold 33 Silver 33 Copper Per Hour (4 Gold per 3 Hours) Officer Rank Pay: Lieutenants: Same as Sentinels/Ellusionists for Base Pay + 1 Mystic Coin and 5 Memories of Battle Per Hour Captains: Same as Sentinels/Ellusionists for Base Pay + 2 Mystic Coins and 10 Memories of Battle Per Hour **Please note that these pay rates are supplements to your usual income from simply playing Guild Wars 2 receiving rewards for completing activities in PvE, PvP, or WvW/Fractals/Raids, etc. The pay is simply a "thank you for participating" bonus!** Guild Uniform (not required but just to look cool together if you like) Any color scheme that has black/midnight dominating the color scheme. Contact Information: IRL Gaming Contact: avionbladegw2@gmail.com In-Game Contact: Avion Blade.4869 or whisper: Avion Blade Please schedule your 1v1 appointment trial with me with the following information: - Numerical Date (9/15 for tomorrow from this post date, for example) - Your local time (I'll convert it to PST if not PST). - You will be notified if our guild is full or not. - Current Recruitment phase is to fill the deck of 52. Expansion will be declared after a month or so of sustaining a certain number of active members. - Representation during WvW is only required if 2 or more members are fighting/roaming together.
  16. blinding the mech helps! If their mech deals a lot of damage, the engineer is squishy >:D
  17. They should remove the auto-destruct completely; resetting it is a chore that wastes time. If one team allows another to build so much siege, let it be so.
  18. Ask for a Warclaw escort, there is a passive blessing so you can run as fast as them (sky-blue square buff color). They need to be near you for a bit to activate it passively.
  19. All valid non-hack teleports have an: animation + sound (even if it is subtle). The only valid no-sound no-animation port, is a waypoint port. Other than this, hack.
  20. This is the style of Mirage I play, I'm sharing it to see if anyone would like to try it. First video is a 1 hour sample of the potential and weaknesses of the build. Second video is a 25 Minute tutorial on the overview of the build and how to play it in WvW. If you spent the time to watch the videos as a whole, thank you very much! I hope it was not a waste. Enjoy! This is what I have equipped with it (currently); but use all exotic as a minimum, and thrive to get ascended as I am working on getting more ascended gear. You do need a Polyluminescent undulating refractor on your backpack item in place of a gem to get the purple square icon on both you and your clones. BUILD: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PiwAYdzlJwkYPsLmJe+XpvSA-zVhYBBJUlUzFuFEhYChdOAiCpEhFpQIdJQLjgcWAKeWqyXDA-w 1 Hour Sample Video (Covers potential, weaknesses, wins, and losses, and learning from losses to gain more wins): Below this line is the Tutorial Video - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ---------------------- JDAM stands for Jaunt, Deception, Alacrity, and Mirror The engine of this build follows this basic rotation of F2 (Cry of Frustration shatter to get the longer-term Vigor Boon up) -> Evade Attack Staff 1 -> Alacrity -> Green Faster Cooldowns -> F2 when ready. There will be swapping between Staff and Axe/Off-Hand Sword. Off-hand sword helps sustain in face-to-face combat and the riposte helps set up an additional clone spawn and nearby-ready daze next to the targeted opponent. This build is no cloak, no signet, provides little information to display to the opponents, because your boons and profession unique buffs (Compounding power) only pop when you are using it, and not beforehand as a give away of your intentions. Errors: In the tutorial video I said, "this build is no longer against thieves"; I meant to say -> "this build is not only against thieves"; it started off being designed to fight them, but then it branched out to be useful against every class. Now it is just a matter of recognizing profession mechanics and using the knowledge to make the build more useful. In the video below for the 7 Advices, Advice #6 was not written because I forgot to. This is advice #6: "Think confidently and patiently against the opponent, don't panic against their sudden appearance, spins, or hard hits; strike after their aggression is complete". In the fourth video (demonstration), I forgot to unblock the two to whisper them lol. I recorded this late at night, apparently fatigue caused me to forget. ---------- Third Video Below on 7 Advices: ---- A fourth and final video, additional special moves, contains demonstrations (the rest of the videos will be posted on Youtube only from now on, thank you for your time if you watched all four! May it be useful or at least an additional option for your build swaps: For your convenience, roam sessions will be uploaded periodically every day or every other day on my Guild Wars 2 Channel to showcase how the build works in WvW: Avion Blade - YouTube
  21. I'm going to upload a thread with a video on another way to play Mirage, in about half a day you will be able to see it. Let me know what you think about it when it is uploaded! Still processing atm as of 7:15 PM PST 9/3/2022. For now I will say this, our profession isn't design to linger in open field or corridors or withstand a mob (for super long); it actually peaks in its performance in areas of elevation, verticality [in other words, ledges, stairs, teleportable places]. We actually can peak in a 1v2 and 1v3 kiting. 1v4+ we are just fighting to survive. So with what we got let us just make do with it. For me, I upscale the number of teleports and take full advantage of it. I trained watching animations and react to avoiding the damages from them, it is doable up to a 1v3 with a good environment. Making escape routes is done by juking the opponent with there-and-back playstyles. The video coming soon gives you build that buys you time to analyze the opponent's rotation and punch through a gap with some good damage, or to bunker just enough for allies to come and help. For me, it is a satisfying WvW Build. Roam Session Example: Feel free to see the other videos listed in the series playlist for your convenience! Another player posted their PvE build below, I posted a WvW Build for your interest.
