  1. Praying that Guild Wars 3 takes place way back in time before all the sci-fi stuff and more closely resembles the original game; brings guilds back to the forefront and all the fun social elements that go along with it; and becomes way, way less of an eyesore and makes an effort to retain those design elements. I haven't logged on in a good while now and I feel that the current game may have pushed me a little too far beyond my tolerance for pink fluffy cat pillows and high-tech everything.
  2. Let's just keep removing every tiny bit of flavour from the game in favour of whatever is purely efficient that always works out great in games
  3. I've never done the reward track and I have more shovels lying around than I can shake a shovel at 😄 just from playing Silverwastes normally
  4. The soul of Guil— what!? I liked that place for about 3 months when the game first launched, after that I was on record saying I absolutely hated it. After Scarlet destroyed old Lion's Arch I didn't even feel like killing her any more. Like, thank you! You could have evacuated all the innocents first but thank you!
  5. I'm a bit confused why Arenanet can't just add a straight-up invisible wall around every cap point that only the occupying team can pass through, right over the walls. Wouldn't that solve literally every exploit issue with mounts / gliders being able to get into enemy cap points? Not being disparaging at all, just genuinely curious why they don't do this
  6. Stop complaining about complaining about complaining.
  7. "the old dailies were more fun, for example waiting for the vet"
  8. "shards" is the subject of the sentence, not "foes," and I think this is where you're getting mixed up
  9. Human nobles, knights, huntsmen, etc. I typically give them Ascalonian names to denote their heritage. That's what I enjoy playing 90% of the time. My character select screen with 23 alts looks pretty much like the cast of a fairytale book.
  10. We actually have cool and interesting relics now and you're really going to complain about some might stacks
  11. I kind of agree with you, I feel it more this year than past years. I'm a bit bewildered as to what they're doing with Wintersday. It's been so many years without any additions except new weapons and minis — no new content whatsoever. Why? It's my favourite festival, and by a longshot, but I wish they would actually do something cool with it. Hallowe'en gets entire new bosses added etc, meanwhile Wintersday can't even get a new song in the Bell Choir game since it launched. Is it really that hard to add new songs? If they'd add one every year we'd have like 20 different songs by now and it would actually be bearable to get that annual achievement.
  12. Correct. People who started the game 11 years ago have items that people who just started this year can't get. I'm not sure why people act like they're entitled to special rewards without having actually met the conditions for those rewards.
  13. 90s PvP: it's customary to teabag an enemy and spraypaint his dead body after getting the drop on him 2020s PvP: "it's seriously not cool to taunt someone guyzs"
  14. It's worth it just to use up some of the nearly 100 Black Lion kits I've amassed over the years lol
  15. Condi Reaper has a really easy and forgiving rotation and I'm regularly top DPS in a group on it in the right circumstances for it. I've been playing it in instanced content since HoT and it's only got better and stronger over the years.
  16. That's a great idea tbh. When I create a new alt (24 so far) I'm inspired, I have an idea and I want to try it out. It kind of sucks using all my leveling scrolls to get to 80 and then still having to do hero points for hours before I can get my build done. I'm the sucker who will pay for the ability to skip doing HPs for the 20th time. It doesn't feel like a noob trap at all to me. A new player has very little reason to pay for HP unlocks when they don't even really understand elite specs yet and they find out they can accrue HP very easily. It feels very much geared toward open-world players who just don't want to spend all night farming HPs to build a new alt.
  17. Yeah now I want every weapon to have alternative skill options like ranger hammer.
