  1. Reason why I haven't played wvw at all, lately lmao. Everyone runs bunker setups that are impossible to take down. Looking at you, Vindis... Skill issue. It's totally balanced that Willbender can shadowstep to you from behind a wall if there's the tiniest hole in it or up a very tall cliff like DnD's Sacred Flame. It's totally balanced they can spam Aegis and Protection and Resistance while still having high kill power. It's totally balanced they can blind you even through invulns (granted that interaction is a general blind issue). For real. Being able to 3000 range engage and burst is just a useless gimmick.
  2. Seconded. I'm looking to get Meteorlogicus now that I've finished my first legendary armor set but I don't want the spell effects to be overwritten.
  3. Going glass is fine on core Tyria, but once you enter the worlds that actually take into account powercreep, you're gonna get thrown for a loop. I personally just use my wvw duelist build in open world and that works wonders but it helps a lot to simply go full Marauder/Dragon for that extra vitality.
  4. If you're going to remove the cooldown reduction from traits, great; it frees up a lot of potential builds! What makes zero sense is when you neglect to reduce the cooldown of one or two abilities in that ability family. If you're going to do this, reduce the cooldown for ALL of the applicable abilities.
  5. When you removed the cooldown reduction on Elemental Surge you didn't buff the base cooldown to compensate. I really hope this isn't intended because no way are you actually catering your balance to celestial stats at the cost of every other build. This is a vital defensive ability you are toying with and it was in no way broken compared to the other BS defensives in the game.
  6. I'm honestly terrified. We're approaching FFXIV levels of "appeal to those with the cognitive capabilities of a potato so we can squeeze more money out of a once beloved game." EOD specs are homogenized with boonspam, mainly with quickness and alacrity (seriously Anet remove these boons IMMEDIATELY) which make them look and play the exact same way since their gameplay is boiled down to giving yourself every boon and face rolling the enemy. As for the new legendary armor, you can literally have the most botched build in open world and still function just fine in the vast majority of content. I'm fine with adding a new way of getting leggys but why did they not choose fractals? It's the only part of the whole entire game that demands ascendeds or better due to the Agony mechanic and it's also how you get Ad Infinitum.
  7. Lizzard actually listens to their players? Last time I checked class balance is still plagued with FOTM BS. They can't even retain new players and their default UI is godawful.
  8. Conjures need to be ammo based; I've been saying this for years. The only two Arcanes that see use are Blast and Shield while the rest are left to gather dust. They're at least buffing Brilliance and Power but I don't know if it will be enough especially when the former is competing with Glyph of Elemental Harmony, Ether Renewal and Signet of Restoration. I agree there are a lot of traits still stuck in 2012, however Pyromancer's Puissance is an invaluable tool for support Tempest giving Might.
  9. Why do I only get silver participation at most when I take a tower with three other people? Ever since the change, us roamers have been getting sabotaged, more so than usual. Between this and the boon ball buffs it really feels like Anet is pulling a Squeenix by saying: "How dare you put in time to be good at this game!? We're nerfing you!" or at least lowering the skill ceiling so it's pancaked against the floor so we have no choice but to fight in a zerg to maximize participation.
  10. I was a little concerned when I re-read the patch notes and noticed Arcane Shield wasn't stated to have its cooldown reduced along with the cooldown reduction removal of Elemental Surge. Are the arcane abilities whose cooldowns were reduced simply highlights of the change or are we going to have to deal with a 45 second cooldown?
  11. Okay I'll give you the Weaver rotation part in PvE, but you all can pry DPS Tempest from my cold dead pianist fingers. That being said the fact that your support needs to be on point with buffing for your dps to shine in comparison to the other classes is terrible design and another reason why almost no one plays Ele. This is made worse by Celestial's chokehold over us (at least in WvW) which is why the team thinks Ele is fine. Quickness and Alacrity just need to be outright removed; they are way too strong for the uptime they get and it is shifting everything toward a homogenized boon ball mess.
  12. Currently it stands as one of if not the most mechanically demanding class in the game which is why they're so rare in comparison to the other eight professions. You have a woefully unforgiving rotation in pve thanks to your conjures still having the pick up system which can cause them to vanish in the event you have to stop to do a mechanic which means you have to work harder for the same value. Nonetheless, it is one of the more fun and bragging rights inducing classes due to it being so complex (cough cough Mechanist literally standing afk and being top DPS). Just prepare yourself for the brainlets who will cry for nerfs in the event you dare be top DPS, yourself.
  13. This is why I'm terrified the game will go the FFXIV route where all the jobs are different flavors of the same exact thing (mainly healers). It's clear as day these boons are not healthy for the game and they need to be removed ASAP so that the classes can shine in different ways.

    Tf?

Can't wait to endure another patch cycle of thinking I'm good at Weaver before getting slam-dunked by a Willbender. Still no ammo based conjures, we're still in a codependent relationship with Celestial because we die as soon as an enemy sneezes in our general direction, otherwise (I still refuse to use that stat type), and I smell yet another Dragon Tooth nerf in the future because apparently the most telegraphed ability "forces out dodges" when that literally describes every single target ability, even the ones that are impossible to react to. Edit: Oh yeah, and the Weaver skillbar bug hasn't been fixed yet.
  15. I was about to post a thread on this, myself, because it just happened to me again. It's been years and they still haven't fixed this. Actually losing to a bug. GG Anet.
  16. Well if we got ritualist instead of...whatever this spec is, maybe we could have dark spirits and what-not. Anyway, the problem is that if you can't directly heal your allies, you're not going to be picked as a support since Firebrand can also give lot's of boons while healing. To this day fractal groups will repeat the same: "LF HB" because there's no real competition in that department. Sure the heal elixir grants regen but I don't think that'll really cut it in the event of things getting hectic even with your superior rezzing abilities due to HB being able to straight up prevent people from going down in the first place.
  17. HUGE MISSED OPPORTUNITY to not lean into the witchdoctor aesthetic. Instead we have this spooky gun-fu thief wannabe with no real theme. Rework the blight mechanic and remove blight from elixirs so they are not mandatory. Give me a heal elixir that actually heals allies and gives them lifesteal on attacks while poisoning foes. Give me the ability to siphon power from my enemies and give it to my allies. I just want my spooky support alchemist, dang it.
  18. I still remember when I was with two other people and we were trying to take down a Specter and what I believe was a support Scrapper. As soon as I got the Specter low they would just hop skip and jump away (meanwhile Necromancer takes 20 years to summon their Wurm) so I decided to go for the Scrapper. Immediately upon targeting them was face to face with an ocean of boons below their health bar that I had to try to whittle away with my one corrupt at a time abilities. As soon as I even landed one corrupt it was instantly boon converted. The worst part was that they didn't even turn around to face me. I couldn't even make the tiniest kitten in their defenses so they were able to straight up ignore me and focus on stun locking and keeping the Specter alive. Of course they won the fight and I'm sure they have it posted in a montage, somewhere. I love not being able to interact with nonsense like that, and the community has the audacity to say that corrupts were the problem. Please explain to me how I'm supposed to perform my job as a Necro when I'm given a hammer and chisel to break a mountain.
  19. The fact that I can burst down a Reaper shroud on CORE NECRO is telling of how bad this spec is right now. People always say: "Oh Necro has sustain because second health bar" not realizing that they are so easy to stunlock and if the opponent has no weakness and/or the necro has no protection, power builds just eat them alive.
  20. Um, what? They gutted Epidemic and Reaper shroud pops in five seconds. Not to mention we're still highly prone to stun locks due to our lack of stability. Anet's golden child is Guardian with broken asf Willbender (which dunks on Harbinger due having access to light aura and farting out boons way more consistently) and overall just being meta in every single game mode.
  21. Well if you ever manage to get into a raid as a support necro without getting laughed at and insta kicked I'd love to see it. But sure, say I can't play a spec even though I highlighted that the lack of alacrity is why it's not desired in competent groups.
  22. You literally just mentioned Alac Willbender in bad faith when I already mentioned Healbrand. Also why tf do I even need to write up a thesis statement for what kind of spec I want when that's the devs' job? Show me one instance in this game where someone's suggestion was turned into a real spec. Also I have healed on alac tempest and it's honestly not that bad, granted it was WvW.
  23. Regardless of whether alac temp is hard meta or not it's still more desirable than Scourge. When was the last time you saw support Scourge in group play? The only time it's useful is if your team is bad. Once they know what they're doing that sliver of a niche vanishes.
  24. As it stands now, quickness and alacrity are highly sought after in groups. Scourge can't provide that and while Harbinger can, they don't have the heal output of more sought after specs like Tempest and Healbrand which can heal and provide one or both of those coveted boons. EDIT: At this point we've seen so many ideas for ritualist like summoning spirits for offense/support/healing. Here's a link to one: At this stage in the game, every spec should be able to play power/condi/support in their own unique ways, so to do weird things like give is pew pew condi when we already had pocket sand condi is honestly bizarre.
