Captain?

So, I watched an already outdated video by this guy. 

 

And followed the build he linked.

The linked build has a Captain's backpack. I'm not sure if the author put Captain by mistake instead of Cavalier, but I wonder where to get Captain? Stat selectable exotic backpacks, including the ones from the lunar new year simply don't have it?

Agree, you beat my edit 🙂 

 I was about to add that a lot of the Ascended ones are probably easier to get via zone currencies than raise tradeskills to the required level to make an exotic version.

Crafted is lvl78. Not good.

Go to where Winterberries drop and get Ascended stat selectable backpack. Why bother with Exotic if you can easily get Ascended?

Eh, getting ascended back is not that easy. Sure, you can farm for one, but if you do so, better go for a stat you can use in content where ascended is required, not for open world.

The bitterfrost frontier one is easier to get than most exotic backpacks. You just need a bunch of harvesting sickles (or a permanent one) and run a few rounds around the winterberry bushes. I'd say it takes about an hour to collect the 400 winterberries to buy the backpack.

To add, if you do the heart in the cave with the Grawl, the Kodan there will sell you sickles that give unbound magic as you harvest winterberries. In addition to the 400 winterberries, you're going to need 5k unbound magic. Two birds with one stone.

I would just like to add that I currently run a variation of that build for open world and its my absolute favorite. Can solo Champs and  legendaries if you are mechanically skilled enough

As an alternative, l would recommend ascended backpacks from Bloodstone Fen. You can change the stats on them for like 100 unbound magic.  Should you ever need to.
