Light male armor (Human)

I just cannot find any good light armor for males. Other than outfits what is your favorite male light armor?

 

There are 4 types I've seen so far.

1. Super duper expensive and hard to get/craft flashy ones (mostly legendaries)

2. Big winter coats. (cabalist's armor)

3. Necro dark and mysterious (you guys already know what those are)

4. Cheesy gw2 space superhero. (Profane armor set)

 

I'm mostly looking for simple heavy-like armor or some standard flowy mage cloak

Have you looked through the wardrobe feature in the bank? You can preview every armor skin in the game there. There are a lot of options.

If you know what you're aiming for the best approach is to use the wardrobe tab to try out different options. That way you can experiment with mix & match options, and see how they look on your character.

For something that looks like heavy armour possible sets I'd try include Bladed, Mist Shard, Forgeman, Runic, and maybe Vigil. I'd definitely include shoulders, because a lot of them are metallic and will add to the heavy armour asthetic.

I had apprentice armor on my human male elementalist for years. For starter armor it’s remarkably nice. There’s even a subtle pattern on the panels that looks like a slight difference in sheen.

1. I'll have to do story as priory (did story as whispers because they're cool)

2. I don't do dungeons much so it may be hard to get the 2nd one I'll probably just get the 1st

For what it's worth, if you just want a piece or two, you can also use Tyrian Exchange Vouchers (from Black Lion Chests) or do WvW/SPvP reward tracks to get it.

N.B. For the Priory armor — if you're just getting it for the skins, you can buy it on any character that has the Priory story unlocked. It doesn't have to be another light armor user.
