Missile Weapons is misleading. Here's what does and does not fire Aim-Assisted Rockets

"Missile Weapons" is very misleading wording. 

The way it actually works: Aim Assisted Rocket only procs on projectiles. 

 

It does not matter if the projectile does damage or not. It does not matter if your weapon is melee or ranged.

If you fire a projectile. You get a rocket. 

You no longer need to crit to land rockets. This is a buff to condi builds with A-AR. 

 

Here's a quick run down of what fires missles and what doesn't.

So since I only run my mech for open world metas I guess I'll just remove rifle turret and throw the barrier signet on. Since AAR only procs every 3 seconds anyway should easily be able to get all the hits with just rifle.

Great list. Missile and Projectile seem to be interchanged and the same goes for defensive skills. 

Even before this patch, I've been having fun playing zerker scrapper with hammer and mortar. Sometimes I'd use nades and rifle but yeah, this un-nerfing would benefit scrappers more than any engie elite. Sample of what it can do - it's a totally different game play than the FT and it's quite squish. We had 2 scrappers this round and his build seemed a bit more balanced and sustainable, lol.

I woke up this morning thinking about some LI flamethrower core build. Then I realized that they nerfed AAR for flamethrower with this incompetent attempt to fix it for mechanists.

I'm trying hard to find a reason to not delete my Engineer to free up the slot.

Don't delete if is one of the oldest class you have, you lost the "birthday reward" items from the oldest one.

It's only a month or so old. Sadly, I recently deleted 3 alts that were below lvl 10 that I had for 9 years before I thought about birthday rewards. Oh well.
