Oke could we finaly death nerf all those facerole builds? Im just tired of get claped by things like condi specter, power mechanist, power bladesworn

 

Like all of those builds are litterly button smash to win and of course they do win. And yes mechanist is actually glassy but well it also do 100%-0% life in under a second. Please finaly punish those things cause they are rly unhealthy for the pvp game.

That's how GW2 plays at its fundamental core.  You're not going to have anything but arbitrarily strong or weak faceroll builds because the game has no sense of universal combat tempo, consistently sabotages action legibility with excessive particle effects, uses tab targeting to automatically aim everything, throws around AoEs that equal or exceed the size of objective areas, and then has the hysterical idea to balance none of this across any sort of significant, universal resource.  Nerf or buff all you want; you're just going to get the same keyboard-stompy game that has existed since 2012, my dude.  I guess you could at least say you got more sparkles to look at now lmao

The reason damage faded wasn't just because of the nerfs, this is a myth pushed by players who were salty. It was because metabuilds were ruined and within 1-2 years players had already found ways to deal damage again. It didn't help that the devs also removed most defensive amulets and made sure that even the healers are running around with power and condi damage.

 

We were seeing single attacks that still shaved half your health off before the expo even dropped.

If anything should change. We need stats in PvP. Bring back toughness, and follow it up with sweeping sustain cuts so that bunkers need toughness to be bunkers. 

We also need 1k healing power amulets back. Removing those and forcing supports to go dps hybrid was a mistake. It just leads to certain builds *cough tempest* that are capable of simultaneously doing top dps and top healing while also providing other means of support. It muddies the waters and leads to builds that feel like they do too much because we cannot specialize even if we wanted to.

A bazillion accounts trying to learn need those easy builds.

Those poor souls will mostly play core. Imagine their experience when they'll try to fight as core warrior or other kitten vs. bladesworn or spectre.

Wdym? Bunkering on node for 5 minutes straight as Catalyst as you cycle through blocks, magnetic aura, shocking aura, weakness, prot, resolution is fun and interactive gameplay which I 100% support and NOT because this is the ele build I'm (ab)using right now.

Yeah, I feel that. It only took 2 whole years, 730+ days, or 17,520+ hours until we got damage back in the PvP mode again.

You're absolutely right, we shouldn't be so spoiled and impatient. Rome wasn't built in a day, after all.
