Why not use the spvp/wvw reward tracks?

Not a joke since you can litteraly spam 1 dungeon path and get the rewards for all the dungeons nowdays instead how it just to be so the reward track are fine.

You can do costum arenas were all you have to do is jump down and die or stand and kill until the timer ticks down  over and overfor 1/4th of a full track a day ( 2 out of 8).

Sadly (or maybe not?), custom arenas are more or less dead nowadays, at least on EU, so unless one wants to spend 2g/day maintaining a server for one self (and possibly die of boredom grinding that daily) there's still "proper" PvP and WvW.

Isn't just doing the easiest dungeon paths for Chest of Dungeoneering already a quicker method than doing PvP or WvW?

Yeah thats why that comment was so funny, its by far way slower and even more tedious

I think you commented on the wrong post, nobody was saying they should nerf dungeons because they are too hard.

No because 1. You dont play the content 2. Reward Paths are only a side reward while playing.

That could be in a dictionary under tedious. By the time you get one tick in wvw you can complete a path. 

Also daily dungeons give extra currency.

So you want 10 gold for doing 8 dungeons, while we get 2 gold for doing 4 strike missions (one of them including OLC or HT)? It doesn't seem balanced for me. We get 2 gold now for completing 12 fractals at tier 1 or 9 fractals at tier 2. They are faster but more difficult than 8 dungeons of your choice. Why should dungeons reward so much? We had to farm specific tokens for each dungeon not so long ago, I think it has been already made easy enough.
