Request to introduce a random DRM daily with atleast 50-70 defense seals

The DRM final boss fights are kinda cool.... we have daily strike missions which players lfg as ibs3 or ibs5... If there was a daily DRM with 70 Defense seals, players would do it. also the supply boxes in EoTN are really worth but usual drm gives only 10 +5 + approx 15 seals per run (I might be wrong about the numbers but its not more than 40) and daily dragonstorm doesnt give enough. and repeated dragonstorm gives only 400karma i believe and no defense seals

Issue is "What do you buy with defense seals?". It boils down to chests which give you crafting mats and it is easier to farm gold and buy mats on TP. I write this as person who buy all skins and just doing daily DS was enough to get all skins over time.

I do not think that adding extra tyrian seals to DRM would "force" ppl to do it more. DRMs with all CMs active can be challenging for some ppl so imagine that your party struggle to finish it. It takes your party 20 mins to finish it with 70 seals as reward. So you go buy boxes and get 2-5 gold in mats maybe.

Maybe merging defense seals with some other currency or let me buy other currencies with defense seals that would be more motivating

the only thing that would ever make players do drms on a regular basis is:

1. change the currency over to blue prophet shards, the same s the icebrood strikes.

2. make the challenge modes automatically skip the escort and give you a portal directly to the boss, like some fractals.

3. rebalance the bosses to be more like other instanced content bosses.

 

they're not a lost cause, but outside of story mode they're so far from every other type of instanced content in the game that it feels almost alien. if you treat them more as five-player strike missions that can also be soloed in story mode, they'll be received alot better.

 

the best example is the snowden challenge mote, which is reasonably difficult and makes even experienced group sweat. i've met quite a few players who love the fight, however because its locked behind an extremely long and tedious escort, no one does it unless they have to. imagine if every single fractal was sunqua peak normal mode, and you start to understand the problem (and even that is more interesting probably).

Today I checked the value of the materials I got from supply boxes.... a little over than 5 gold and 85 silver and i didnt even get a single t6 mats today still got 5.85 gold

some days u get extra supply box instead of that bead of liquid karma.. so u might get atleast 6 gold totally on those special days

 

some days i did notice 25 t6 mats like blood, totems, scales,... those days will give us even more gold if we sell those.. I'd guess maybe we an get 6-8 gold approximate

Yep, some bosses are actually fun. Its all the bloat before that would need some serious triming. Like 90% of it. I dont mind a little bit of trash mobs but here we have stupid preparation events, escorts, more trash events...

And the grouping system. Omg who designed that. Its not like you already have completely fine working systems. No lets design something for max annoyance.

The rewards are the least of a problem.

I checked fast farming and its say 3g50s for first daily clear with 2 CMs.

True if I could just queue for it like for PvP, then it would be better. ANET actually tried to add "auto queue" to the game and you can test it for daily strikes. It is that public option for strikes and it is terrible like you use it and it teleport you to instance and now you wait inside instance for other ppl to join. It kind of work for DS, because DS has timer for that public option.

I wish they just took queue system from PvP modify it little and add it to PvE. So you can queue up for preselected content like you can in PvP and when you have enough ppl, then you get confirmation popup and when everyone accept it, then you get teleported inside instance. Also lets be real for DRMs, strikes, fractals, dungeons you just need 1 or 2 boonhealers and rest dps.

Also I will tell you secret you can do any instanced content without quick or alac and it does not take that much longer.

Oh I didn't even mean the public option. Although the pvp system would be way better for public instances. It's exactly how most games do it and works great. 

I meant the premade party option. Where you make a party and everyone needs to be in the same instance ip in Eotn. And then everyone needs to get ready and get inside in a limited amount of time. And if someone misses the entrance window he can't join the party instance and you're left with less players. And if you want to get the late 5th guy again you need to get out and remake everything. And for some reason half of the time someone falls asleep just before a group activity will begin because no attention span I guess.

It's not like we have a perfectly fine system for Fractals. And a different but also fine system for Strikes. And a little different but again perfectly fine systems for dungeons and raids. Nah let's reinvent it again but lets make it as limited and annoying as possible.

I completly forgot about that. Would be nice to get some "fix" for it.

Day1 supply box contents => approx 5.85 gold

Day2 supply box contents => exactly  7.26 gold 38 copper

 

I will wait for the day when we get an extra supply box instead of the bead of liquid karma and update it here

 

the whole point of posting this is to tell players tha tsupply boxes are worth and anet needs to introduce a daily drm with more defense seals so players could benefit from it and also they wont leave the cool boss fights in drm to die in negligence

Skins. Mainly ones for me the exalted ones xd.

Maybe buying those 20g dragon lodestones could help.

But DRMs need some improvements to be encouraged to the level of dragon lodestones.

They could be in an LFG as if they were dungeons, strikes, etc.

You could say that having specific tab name Draconic response missions on same lvl as dungeons and strikes would make it more visible, but it would not be popular anyway.

Hmm. What would you say if DRM bosses would be used for new strikes? Probably not all of them could be simple taken and used right away, but with some tweaks it could work or rework DRM as 5 man strikes with reworked rewards.

It could revive DRMs, ANET have "new" content with low cost and players get "new" content with new rewards.

I'm really interested which part you managed to translate as me saying those bosses challenging, so, please enlighten me on that.

Also, can you list the cool mechanics? Because other than the Fireheart one all the DRM bosses feel like boring damage sponges that run up to the group and just stand still doing barely any damage, then leave a bit later so you can kill X trash mobs.

when i mentioned IBS s trike bosses are static golems, u responded with me being only familiar with shiverpeaks... so based on what u said.. only the shiverpeaks is static golem boss and all others are NOT... so u actually consider them to be challenging, interesting, or whatever.. am I wrong to conclude that from your response? or are u going to mask it with something else?

as for drm boss mechanics...

fields of ruin boss attacks, phases are all engaging

gendarran fields boss the fire tornadoes during battle is engaging so does boss's attacks

snowden drifts ryland boss attacks and finding safe spots during his attacks are engaging

caledon forest frost collosus boss is super cool... u have to position properly and make use of campfires to defeat the boss

bloodtide coast boss attacks are super cool and u cant braindead stand anywhere and atatck.. u have to avoid the iceballs and other cool mechanics

and all otehr bosses and their attacks and mechanics are cool

these are just a few that came to my mind...

 

lets compare these mechanics to boneskinner .. all u have to do is sidestep one lethal atatck and dodge his jump attack... what else is there.. noone does the torch thing nowadays

fraenir.. just atatck .. static golem... bears.. just attack static golem

 

Im not talking about the escort phases in DRMs.. Im talking about the boss fights...

 

the whole point of me starting this thread ... is to request anet to somehow increase the defense seals from encounters and make one daily DRM .. if possible make the drm to be directly start from the boss fights instead of escort or even escort i dont mind it... if players get enough defense seals to get all the supply boxes from EotN, that would be a nice gold source and also the content wont die of neglect and the boss fights are actually cooler than most if not all the IBS strikes..

 

I'm trying to get a content to atleast be active once a day. But u try to oppose the idea and bury the content... why?

It's a total waste to get involved in worthless debate and derailed conversations.... I as a player tried to make a request to ANET.. and I will hope to see some action regarding that thats all...
